Excellent product, expensive up front costs but worth the investment long term.
What do you like best about the product?
Alerting is fantastic; this product has many great features built-in out of the box, but you can customize it so many ways as well. Dashboards assist in gathering the information needed quickly with the 10,000-foot overview each day. We monitor just over 600 devices, and it has improved our response time on getting items resolved.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only downside is the long-term cost being in Education. However, we felt the product was worth the investment and plan to grow into the product. Alerting can be challenging to set up at first; with help from the install team, you can get through these obstacles. Sometimes the alerting will flood your email, which takes a lot of adjustment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have replaced Solarwinds and use LogicMonitor as our primary system now. Our network edge switches needed a solid monitor, and this product has worked well for us. Monitoring for stack breaks, member reboots, and alerts is excellent.

LM Initial Thoughts
What do you like best about the product?
AUtomation to bulk import all devices and new devices seamlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is not that easy to use - the GUI is lengthy and clicky.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
360 degree monitoring and letting other orgs know how to track their network level statistics.
Very good network monitoring tool
What do you like best about the product?
Automation via python coding , we can run many automated tests besides the regular monitoring and alerts.
What do you dislike about the product?
Software support is not very good. The recent GUI update is not as good as before.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Network monitoring. We were able to stand up multiple collectors in each of our key locations. We can test network performance without spending a lot of money on network performance tools.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great software, not very good support. Netflow is weak, you may need to buy another tool to cover that poor netflow collection issue.
Chief Architect
What do you like best about the product?
Love the fact we can have single pane of glass monitoring across hosted DC and AWS services
What do you dislike about the product?
Certainly need more plugins into LM from AWS services so that we can entirely rely on LM.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trying to be our single pane of glass monitoring. And thats the benefit we have realized.
Rockstar monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
Easy setup even for lots of different devices. Works really well even with out of the box configuration
What do you dislike about the product?
Significant customization requires scripts
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wanted to monitor several device types with one tool and this fit the bill
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Do your homework and look at your entire environment to make sure it can cover all
LogicMonitor makes a complex task like monitoring an enterprise, almost painless
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface is intuitive, well designed, and navagiable. It's extensible through it's internal grovy script. I've yet to come across a device it hasn't discovered or identified automatically. It's easy to tune out alert noise and integrate with other tools like PagerDuty.
What do you dislike about the product?
Netflow support is a bit lacking, but servicable in it's basic format.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Time to maintain the monitoring environment has been signifigantly reduced. Overall alert noise from our previous monitoring platform has been reduced signifigantly as well.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are tired of the old standard and their archaic interface, give LogicMonitor a try... you'll never go back.
