Holistic Monitoring and Observability All-in-One
What do you like best about the product?
It allows us to monitor all of our resources, services and websites in a single pane of glass, and provides us with all the insights we need. It can give you everything you need, and even collect and correlate event and syslogs.
What do you dislike about the product?
It requires some operational maintenance on the LM Modules and datasources, along with alert tuning to eliminate noise as it monitors a ton of things right out of the gate!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LogicMonitor is allowing us to proactively resolve problems before they happen by alerting us on things like disk space utilization, memory and CPU utilization, Windows Service status and allowing us to do automated remediation of these types of things.
Monitoring and tracking of your entire business structure
What do you like best about the product?
I really like the versatility that this platform has when it comes to start up, it integrates with a large number of applications even from the cloud... Its interface is quite simple, which allowed our developers to undertake a tracking and monitoring of all our social networks, servers, applications and cloud services quickly, easily and virtually automatically. It is worth mentioning that the customer support was always attending our requests for small inconveniences that arose in the beginning, and if a platform provides you with an excellent customer service it assures you a 60 percent success in the results you are looking for.
What do you dislike about the product?
The truth is very few things I could highlight as a dislike, however it could be important for any organization that wants to acquire the benefits provided by this platform to see the cost of their packages, personally I found them quite high and even more if it is a small company that is starting and still does not have a good position in the market. And on the other hand, not being so relevant, the first configuration process tends to be a little confusing; the good thing is that their interface is simple and you will have their support available to help you solve that quickly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Undoubtedly, just the fact that today thanks to the tools provided by this platform we have the opportunity to maintain a constant monitoring and tracking of all our data is something that keeps us a step ahead even for making decisions on new strategies or campaigns we want to do. Saving time thanks to its automation, and space in working time to address and find a solution to other types of problems that the platform does not take care of automatically.
Real-time data monitoring and analysis.
What do you like best about the product?
The first plus point for the LogicMonitor software is that it is fully cloud based, the user interface is handy and very useful, the installation and configuration is compared to other hybrid programs very simple, just pay for the account access and you are ready to go. The installer is fully automated, the software can also be hosted on Linux operating system which makes it versatile. The dashboards can become complicated to configure on other cloud platforms however I found this one very simple after installation. I also want to highlight the alerts and reports I find that within the platform is a very powerful option, you can run HTTP requests, send emails or SMS for alerts, it is very versatile tool, reports are very customizable having in its infrastructure 16 types to be implemented, no need to worry about email configurations LogicMonitor has its own SMTP server.
What do you dislike about the product?
The first shortcoming is that it requires good web connectivity the software does not run without internet connection, they do not give defined prices they give you a 14-day trial, but you have to go through several actions to be able to access the demo, it would be very useful if they set prices for standard packages. Some glitches with the Windows compiler for installation, but I managed to fix it without problems, the alerts capabilities can be extended for a better user experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We currently run the tool for data collection, analysis and exploration which benefits us when solving complex problems in the IT area, it is a versatile tool with which we perform accurate monitoring of our server infrastructure, and comprehensive supervision of virtual machines, it is also a feasible solution for monitoring web offerings in the cloud, even the software adapts very well to servers and network devices. The tool provides alerts which improves performance and customers are satisfied that our service infrastructure is always monitored and well managed.
Data consolidation with a high priority
What do you like best about the product?
I like the idea of being able to set criteria for comparison with other information data between two personas or profiles, so that data can be structured and explored in depth using this software. It helped me to monitor servers, networks, storage and applications in my infrastructure. As a result, I was able to find and fix problems before they caused service interruptions. The support has been fantastic, and the goal of producing a lot of results has succeeded. It's fantastic and has served its strategic purpose admirably.
What do you dislike about the product?
The program has become both a very valuable tool and a nuisance to new users, as the learning curve is a bit steep for newcomers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LogicMonitor is largely responsible for the success of our market strategy, as it allows us to conduct market research and analysis quickly and efficiently. The main purpose of using it is to improve choice. It's fascinating, and it has clearly given a boost to efforts to see projects through to completion. I find it amazing that the software has made decision making so much easier. It is data specific and can be extrapolated to meet other objectives. It has been very useful to us.
A feature-packed solution with excellent stability and a notification system
What is our primary use case?
We installed LogicMonitor as a SaaS-based solution, and we have an agentless approach. We are monitoring the overall interface and not just the network devices. I am looking after the network devices only.
What is most valuable?
LogicMonitor is good for getting a full view of your topologies. They have LiveMaps, which give you a visual representation of your infrastructure. They also have a great notification system. If something goes wrong, you'll be automatically notified. LogicMonitor also integrates with ServiceNow, so you can easily get alerts in those systems.
Another thing I like about LogicMonitor is their dependency metrics. This means that if one device goes down, you won't get alerts for other devices that depend on it. This helps you to quickly identify and resolve problems.
Overall, I think LogicMonitor has a lot of great features. However, I do have some concerns about the deployment process. It's not as straightforward as it could be. Additionally, some of the workflow automation features require scripting knowledge, which can be a barrier for some users.
What needs improvement?
LogicMonitor has good features, but the ease of use is a little bit confusing. Additionally, we are looking for workflow automation, which is a little bit tricky for LogicMonitor. But we are still exploring more and do not have detailed training in LogicMonitor.
Moreover, the deployment process needs improvement. The thing is the deployment or whatever the standard deployment should be implemented here. That is not fine-tuning.
In my personal opinion, for workflow automation and other stuff, we have Python or scripting knowledge, and that part is very tricky. Whenever we try to call the service or the LogicMonitor team, and we open a ticket, it is chargeable.
In future releases, we would like to see a configuration backup manager. A feature that automatically backups the device configuration will help us. So, instead of going with another third-party tool, this will be good.
For how long have I used the solution?
We have been using the product for two years.
What do I think about the stability of the solution?
The stability is very good. We have a SaaS-based solution and a cloud-based solution. We never experienced any kind of downtime from them. So, that part is very good.
What do I think about the scalability of the solution?
It will be good because whatever knowledge I have with LogicMonitor is limited. I have not been able to fully explore LogicMonitor because of the scripting and other overflow automation concepts. Even courses are not available on working data. So, basically, working on the courses is available for free. I really didn't deep-dive into LogicMonitor.
In our organization, the regional office, we have two major regional offices in the USA, Kansas City, and Mumbai. So, Mumbai's count is 2,000, and Kansas City's is 4,000.
Almost all use LogicMonitor, which would include branch offices as well. So, more than 100 branch offices. We are monitoring one key code universal, and the rest of the branches have separate networks and accesses.
I would rate the scalability of this solution an eight out of ten.
How are customer service and support?
The technical support is very good. But the only thing is that if you have some issues with the particular script writing and some customized reports, we have to open the case with them, and that is chargeable. That is what the subscription part is, and what the agreement between our organization and LogicMonitor is, I don’t know. Our dedicated SME handles it in the USA office.
So, if we want to open a case with them, we go to our SME, and they will try to resolve the issue. If not, then it will be chargeable. Last time, we raised some queries, and my management told me that if the query is not solved, open a case, and it will be chargeable.
Which solution did I use previously and why did I switch?
I have been working with SolarWinds for more than four years. So, I can talk about SolarWinds. SolarWinds is good for network monitoring. It has reporting of topology diagrams and all this stuff that we can get over there. Also, a bandwidth analyzer is available, which is a very handy tool. There is also configuration management, which is like an add-on basis. So that is good. But with the recent incident with SolarWinds, it is no more secure. If you wanted an on-premises solution, then probably go with ManageEngine or SolarWinds. But when looking for cloud-based, we thought LogicMonitor will be good for us. We only have to check and gain some knowledge on whatever they provide, the knowledge portal or training. So, that is part training for us.
How was the initial setup?
The team in the USA or the partner who implemented LogicMonitor earlier is not in the proper shape of architecture or deployment. So, it's got some issues with the network device group and servers. So, all are messed up. We decided to fine-tune the hardening of this LogicMonitor.
Personally, the way we implement it here. I feel it is not easy to use.
The solution is deployed on the cloud.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
I would rate the pricing for LogicMonitor a six or seven out of ten, where one being cheap and ten being expensive.
What other advice do I have?
The thing is that some features are there, but we have, like, incompetency to add up that feature. So, the product is feature-packed. But some of the features we have to explore still.
Overall, I would rate LogicMonitor an eight out of ten.
The data in LogicMonitor is examined with the use of high quality data
What do you like best about the product?
LogicMonitor's user interface is really simple and all the software's functions are of high quality, so I enjoy using it. We have been able to streamline the management of my systems, increase the efficiency of our operations and ensure maximum performance of our IT infrastructure. The reports and the framework of our study are fascinating. It is the best software for analyzing data in particular. It allows us greater flexibility and control over every step of the process. It works very well for organizations that have large and specialized databases.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could get instant feedback from support, which is something I really dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to get monitoring up and running quickly because of LogicMonitor's easy configuration and deployment. Adoption can be accelerated and operational efficiency improved thanks to the easy-to-use, well-organized interface that simplifies browsing and configuration of individualized alerts, reports and dashboards. Because of our ability to perform large-scale analysis of shared data, our preference for consolidating the simple but aesthetically pleasing procedures of each individual management and our success in offering diverse information study solutions, we consider it very vital.
Quality product that was the best match for the price

What do you dislike about the product?
The mobile app is good for quickly acknowledging alerts but not much else.

Easily see the health of applications and maintains our alert streams.
Global Infrastructure New LM Customer
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboards are a quick way to see red / green status and other issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some customizations are limited on the main dashboard.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ability to see issues with servers without logging into the server.
Great tool for monitoring and alerting!
What do you like best about the product?
The workflows for alerting and escalations are critical in todays world. LogicMonitor makes it easy to customize what you need. Their dashboards are easy to work with, and there are a lot of templates you can import.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest drawbacks are the inability to do usage-based reporting for ports, nor can we search interface descriptions in the tool. Because of this, we must keep a second system running for these tasks.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
LogicMonitor allows us to be nimble when experiencing any interruption withing our or our customer's environments.
Good standalone solution. Some of the integrations need some work.
What do you like best about the product?
Logicmonitor is pretty responsive in creating new alerts, as well as having a having a fairly extensive number of defined monitoring on particular platforms (logic modules)
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the integrations do not work as expected. In particular, the integration with Service Now leaves a bit to be desired. Rather than creating a new ticket for an alarm that is already cleared, it re opens the old ticket
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have an largefootprint that needs to be monitored. LM helps us monitor our extensive number of vmware enviroments and network devices.
