Best B2B eCommerce Solution on the Market
What do you like best about the product?
Best B2B eCom Functionality OOTB you can get on the market. Spryker is highly customizable according to your business needs and helps to scale your ecommerce business model.
What do you dislike about the product?
Relatively high efforts to maintain and update Spryker OS. To implement Spryker a really good and experienced development team is required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Spryker OS you can implemented new features with speed and build prototypes in no time. The large base of OOTB eCommerce functionality help you to start with a really good base to adapt the features to your needs according to eCommerce best practices which work for successful players in the eCommerce market. There is no need to reinvent every functionality.
On top Spryker is capable to handle large amount of data and interfaces which is a standard scenario in B2B eCommerce where the OS Commerce mostly serves as a business logic layer and the master data is distributed within other systems (ERP, PIM, etc.).

Code quality, infrastructure, modularity, splitting of frontend and backend components, managing of complex business logic for after sales processes

complexity, high learning curve, missing standards for after sales processes

we don't need any queueing system for high traffic scenarios for different customers.

Spryker is very good for complex and individual projects with an enterprise focus.

If you're looking for a strong solution for custom ecommerce solutions, then you should definitely check out Spryker.

What do you like best about the product?
Due to the modular structure it is very easy to extend and change the existing code. In addition, the GLUE API ensures that a completely different front end can be connected.
What do you dislike about the product?
Due to some legacy code that is not yet adapted to today's Spryker state, it is sometimes more time-consuming to extend and modify old code at project level.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Due to the modular design and following the SOLID principles, the code is maintainable and easy to replace. In addition, individual Spryker packages can be updated, removed, and added without having to update the entire system. This saves time and money that can be spent on actual development.

Especially the packaged business capabilities brings a high modularity and flexibility and this is what our customers need to be competitive and spryker delivers.

Spryker Commerce Cloud OS is being used by a large part of our organization. We solve problems of our Customers especially in B2B and Unified Commerce Sector. In particular, we are pushing for a very customer-centric approach and deep integrations into existing infrastructures.

Spryker, a scalable, customizable shop system
What do you like best about the product?
The architecture is good. (Separation of Frontend and Backend). The publish & sync process is fantastic. The Order Management System is powerful and I think it can map a lot of business cases.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you want to build a new module, you need a lot of boilerplate code at the beginning. The publish & sync process is not easy to understand.

Returns Management, Contract Management, Customer Specific Bonus Program, ...
A powerful yet complex tool for highly scalable and expandable ecommerce solutions
What do you like best about the product?
I like Spryker's out-of-the-box orientation to quality and scalability. It is easy to switch from one project to another using Spryker because the code structure is the same and the concepts are well enforced. Spryker has a large number of available modules to choose from which helps in implementing features faster. Spryker's Glue layer is a feature that may help to implement more exotic ecommerce solutions. Spryker's code quality tools enable teams to have unified quality standards.
What do you dislike about the product?
Developing Spryker can sometimes be a bit tedious, quite a lot of boiler plate code is required. The learning curve is steep. The core code sometimes might be of higher quality.

- Complex architecture and hosting
- - needs more self-service functionality (but it is on the roadmap afaik)
- A little bit behind in developer comfort-features
- - Missing features like "Symfony Autowiring" lead to much code for little functionality
- - But external tools like IDE Plugins or GitHub CoPilot help with Boilerpalte code

Solves complex and highly customized business-cases better in comparison to other out-of-the-box ecommerce-systems. Offers a high degree in customizablity to fit customer's needs. You can focus keep the business-capabilities you need for a project, "delete the rest"
