What do you like best about the product?
I'm a big fan of Vanta. Since they've been around the longest they are incredibly good at the core feature set. It's easy to see what needs to be updated and how to update it to keep compliant. They also helped us quickly find an auditor, and their customer support team personally worked to help us address and complete a big security questionnaire doc we had. Really went above and beyond. Shout out to Emmett our original customer success person!
What do you dislike about the product?
The user experience is updating very regularly, so tbd if this review even holds a few weeks from now, but I'd really like a single page or graph showing everything across my entire instance that needs to be done instead of triaging between SOC2, HIPAA, docs, and tests.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta automates and continually monitors our company and systems for SOC2 compliance and HIPAA compliance. This gives us a sense of security and gives our customers confidence in our product. It also speeds up our SOC2 audits significantly.
Super Easy
What do you like best about the product?
Usually security is a big headache. I like that Vanta turns it into downloading an app, reviewing a few links, and watching a video to get up to complience. It's a really easy, well-packaged solution.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes on the Mac client in the past its taken more than one try to get the installer to fire. There is also not a visually confirmation when you are done installing which can be confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta makes it easy to have your company reach full compliance to pass a Soc II audit. For those in start-up land, it's almost impossible to book any large, enterprise customers without it.
Least painful compliance I've had!
What do you like best about the product?
I have performed compliance audits in the past, but always with an external expert. When I went to a small startup, I was on my own figuring out how to get our SOC2 compliance taken care of. Vanta was very easy to set up, and had very non intrusive monitoring of employee laptops. Vanta helped me to find an auditor and that process was so much smoother than it would have been without vanta collecting a lot of information. The list of needed policies helped us to create internal policies, and saved me weeks of writing and anguish.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that Vanta integrated with Render (our infrastructure platform) for easier tracking of those settings.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta enabled our small startup to get our SOC2 certification at a much lesser cost than we otherwise would have and with way less pain that I have ever experienced during this audits.
Increase SOC 2 Certification and Compliance Efficiency with Vanta
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta automates lots of mundane compliance tasks by integrating with key vendors like AWS, OKTA and Google etc. Their compliance monitoring and alerting saved tons of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
We used their PCI certification product. It wasn't that helpful because it wasn't addressing the needs for obtaining the PCI certification. We finally had to resort to using the PCI auditor's task list, completely bypassing the Vanta PCI package.

Automated tests are amazing. Great dashboard experience. Detailed instructions to remediate.
What do you like best about the product?
The automated tests that Vanta supplies are excellent. I like that Vanta will automatically catch vulnerabilities in our cloud architecture - we do not need to write these tests ourselves.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not figured out a good workflow for managing Vanta notifications. I get a lot of notifications about things I need to fix. I feel like I get alarm fatigue and ignore most of those notifications.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Vanta is helping us get our SOC2 certification. Vanta highlights all the areas that our SOC2 auditor will check. Vanta's automated tests help us keep in line for future certifications.
Excellent product to expedite compliance
What do you like best about the product?
First of all, Vanta's CS team has been great. They welcome questions and make themselves available to customers for 1:1 assistance and guidance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Don't have any dislikes specifically. We've been a Vanta customer for over 1 year now and with software, the solution changes. Where Vanta is now vs. 1 year ago is impressive and the platform is much more useable now than 1 year ago.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're using Vanta for our SOC certification and possibly a referral partner to complete our audit.
SOC2 Type2 Success in Months
What do you like best about the product?
Initial setup took a few days. Very simple. Great customer success and support, working with us weekly to help us get it right.
What do you dislike about the product?
Vanta is rapidly evolving their capabilities. Sometimes it's hard to keep up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to complete SOC2 Type2 from installation through audit in 6 months. This enabled us to engage get to revenue faster with our enterprise clients.
Gamifying security compliance makes it mostly fun!
What do you like best about the product?
The checklist of items to complete with helpful instructions makes it a breeze to become compliant. It's fun turning all the tests green and passing. The templates for producing policies and paperwork save me an insane amount of time and ensure I'm on the right track!
What do you dislike about the product?
The incident response plan test and tabletop disaster recovery test templates are still in Google Docs. I'd love for them to have the same template generator as the system description editor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our customers want to know we're secure, in some cases, they require SOC 2. Vanta allows us to achieve compliance and demonstrate to our customers that we are upholding this level of security.
Experience Soc2 Automation
What do you like best about the product?
Automating repetitive tasks for SOC2 audits is every compliance officer's dream. We can now accomplish over 90% of the audit tasks through automation, while the remaining 10% involves minor document uploads that need to be done quarterly or annually. I appreciate the Vanta Trust page, which enables us to share our compliance dashboard with clients. We've been using their platform for over a year, and it has already resulted in significant cost savings compared to the man-hours we used to invest. Over past one year, I have seen many new integrations which has help to finish the SOC audit tasks even easier. We log onto our Vanta platform everyday to check if there are any overdue tasks. This helps us stay ahead of audit game instead of trying to do all at once. Their customer support is really good and so even if you encounter any problem, it would most likely get solved on the same day.
What do you dislike about the product?
No product is perfect. Those who feel they are perfect stops growing. I do not have anything negative to highlight at this point since all our requirements are met through this platform and I do not see any shortcomings. If I encounter any, they get solved immediately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It aids us in automating the majority of audit tasks and better organizing the remaining ones. The platform is instrumental in reducing the man-hours spent on manual evidence collection. Our clients highly appreciate the trust page, as it instills confidence and comfort when they see our company with all green checks on Vanta's trust page portal. Conducting annual employee training used to be a nightmare, but with Vanta, it seamlessly gets done without drawing much attention.
