Easiest way to navigate through certification requirements
What do you like best about the product?
The dashboard clearly shows compliance status, pending tasks, and areas needing attention. Navigation is straightforward, making it easy for team members across departments to understand their responsibilities. The continuous monitoring capabilities save countless hours compared to manual processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing can be steep for smaller startups, especially when multiple frameworks are needed. Despite the intuitive interface, there's still a significant learning curve around compliance concepts and terminology. You need to put in the hours to get results.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We implemented Vanta to achieve and maintain SOC 2 Type 2 compliance and GDPR certifications. Vanta helped us save time and avoid expensive consultants.
Made security and compliance easy and perversely enjoyable
What do you like best about the product?
Vanta made it super easy to draft policies, continuously monitor our systems, and track compliance tasks across our entire organization. I had no prior experience with SOC 2 or ISO 27001, and getting our first Type II attenuation and going through our ISO surveillance audit were much easier than I expected.
What do you dislike about the product?
Very few downsides. Deeper integration with ticketing systems like Linear would be nice, e.g., automatic creation of new ticket when Vanta detects an issue requiring action.

Vanta's system is easy to navigate and has very good tools to help improve performance.
What do you like best about the product?
the system has good features. Policy templates being provided for our assistance in drafting complaince policies. Ease of implimentation and use overall is very good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some areas of the system were difficulat to understand initially and required customer service guidance. That said, their support team was very helpful. And as frequencey of use continues the system becomes familier.

Vanta solves our reoccuring complaince updating and monitoring.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is very easy to use and was simple to implement. More than just a compliance tool, it helped make us a better product as well. Everyone I worked with has been very helpful and knowledgeable. As a software developer I truly appreciate every aspect of the solution.

When adding additional modules it can get a bit expensive.

I have really appreciated how Vanta has made setting up and managing compliance straightforward for our small team of employees, despite lacking a dedicated compliance department. The setup process out of the box is incredibly user-friendly and adaptable to any organization, providing a significant advantage in getting 95% of the way towards compliance effortlessly. Vanta's tool allows us to manage compliance efficiently without requiring a chief compliance officer or an in-house legal team, which is cost-effective and vital for a small startup like ours. It's streamlined our processes, saving us time and creating greater efficiencies in handling compliance-related tasks, which are often arduous when done manually. We've also benefited from the streamlined security review and access request processes, which are well-developed and assist in tracking system access within the company. Furthermore, Vanta's value per dollar is outstanding, as it effectively eliminates the need for an entire compliance department, making it an incredible and integral tool for us. The customer service is timely and responsive, with a willingness to jump on calls to solve problems, and they make sure to provide options and discounts, which I find honest and straightforward. Overall, Vanta not only stands out as the best compliance tool I've used but also comes highly recommended by our leadership team.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would probably change the initial onboarding and maybe funnel customers into a more directed onboarding based on their industry. Determining who has access to what is a very tricky area, and there's room for improvement in the access section to make it clearer. Also, the use of integrations and its expansion is a topic Vanta understands, but there's always room for more.

I use Vanta to manage compliance efficiently with a small team, eliminating the need for a dedicated compliance department. It streamlines complex tasks, like security reviews, saving time and boosting efficiency without manual errors.
Makes a somewhat painful process straightforward
What do you like best about the product?
Doing our complicance without Vanta would have been a nightmare, and I'm sure we would have missed things.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI doesn't always immediately update so it can be a bit confusing whether you've checked something off or not.

The interface is a bit confusing and the user journey makes it difficult for users to access it for the first time.
