What do you dislike about the product?
One downside is the cost, which may be relatively higher compared to some competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rackspace Technology's load-balancing capabilities have been instrumental. By distributing incoming traffic across multiple servers, I have eliminated the risk of any single server being overwhelmed during peak times. This has not only improved website performance but also enhanced its overall reliability.

Rackspace is a good email hosting solution

They took long time to provide support and not on time support

Email hosting, we were moved from lambda to this and it was provided good emailing solution

Rackspace is an email hosting platform which is what we need, and their back end tool is easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their spam/scam protection is very poor, as well as their search funcitonalities and organization.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Rackspace does provide us with a platform to host our company emails which is really what we needed. It also allows us to manage our employees' accounts easily.
Now that I have a professional mailbox, clients and other business people to take you seriously.
What do you like best about the product?
I use rackspace primarily for my branded business email mailbox. I like that I can manage my incoming and outgoing mail by configuring other email clients so I can use a single platform to manage all mail instead of having to use 2 separate platforms for personal vs business mail.

What do you dislike about the product?
I wish I could add profile image from my mailboxes within the rackspace but configuring it with a separate emai client does the trick.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Professional e-mail management
Do not use. They have gone down hill bad.
What do you like best about the product?
They use to be great but not anymore. Since they outsourced support to another country they cant solve issues and really slow to respond and service is even worse.
What do you dislike about the product?
Really bad service and support. Used them for over a decade and were amazing in the last 12 months they have had bad service and even worse customer support. They have said for years they offer fanatical support and they did. In the last year, I am not sure what happened but they just don't care. The normal response time is about 9 days when we have an issue. What was a great company seems to have ended.

Email but its a mess and does not work well

Rackspace to Digital Ocean
What do you like best about the product?
Why I prefer DO - Very stable platform with good pricing and good support. Very easy to setup and manage VPS.
What do you dislike about the product?
Why I moved from Rackspace - It was VERY VERY expensive and although not generally difficult to manage, DO was far easier.
We still have servers running in Rackspace which are very stable. We have no plans on moving them from there.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed to setup VPS for different clients with varying needs and sizes.
Good for bare metal hosted services for quick turn around in non-cloud services
What do you like best about the product?
It was great that we could use bare-metal servers for a new service without the initial investment cost or dedicated setup time required by IT/Operations staffers. This service is somewhat unique in the hosted market.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost, while amortized vs. an outright purchase, did mean that relatively high month-to-month costs quickly offset the cost savings for the initial startup. This can be not easy in a new product environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently, we are no longer using Rackspace, but at the time, we used it as a hardware resource for developing and launching a new product concept. This allowed rapid development and deployment without significant upfront investment/capital.
Farcical Support
What do you like best about the product?
When it worked it was reasonable easy to setup new clients. But unfortunatly the system soon let us down and we have had no end of problems with Rackspace. Support used to be good but now just doesn't exist.
What do you dislike about the product?
Support is non-existent. The connection between our MS reseller account and Rackspace was lost for some reason and here we are 2 months later with no resolution. Also very expensive for MS licenses compared to others.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to use them as an indirect reseller for MS products.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Avoid and use Giacom instead
Great company, great service, 100% uptime but communications for a company with an IT staff.
What do you like best about the product?
Very reliable. Good Support. Price is right.
What do you dislike about the product?
Seems designed for larger companies with a IT staff. The level of knowledge they expect from customers makes them not a great match for us we need a company that can speak to experienced but relatively less technical people in a way we can understand. I find communications are fragmented. However our uptime is 100%and response to what we ask about has been good. Their contracting communications very difficult.
