Postman addresses several important challenges in API development and testing, providing significant advantages. Its user-friendly interface streamlines API testing, eliminating the need for manual curl commands or writing custom scripts. The platform also enhances teamwork by enabling teams to share collections, environments, and documentation instantly. Additionally, Postman supports the standardization and automatic generation of API documentation, which makes it much easier for new team members or partners to understand and work with APIs.
Must have tool for API testing
What do you like best about the product?
Postman is a very convenient tool for API testing. I find the fact that you're able to save the API calls under categories very helpful and convenient for quicker troubleshooting. User interface is pretty straightforward and easy to learn for even non technical users. Installation and usage is pretty simple and doesn't long to configure. You can also integrate Postman with CI/CD pipelines.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have heard that it is inconvenient for large-scale scripting, however, this is something I have not encountered in my scope of work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman solves the challenge of developing, testing, and documenting APIs efficiently. It provides an all-in-one platform to send requests, analyze responses, automate testing, and collaborate with team members. For me, it has been highly beneficial because it simplifies API debugging, reduces manual testing time, and ensures consistency across environments. The ability to organize requests into collections and use environment variables helps streamline workflows and makes integration testing much faster and more reliable.
Effective API Management, Needs Better Organization Handling
What do you like best about the product?
I find Postman extremely valuable for API testing, as it simplifies testing APIs, viewing responses, and managing requests. The automation features for scheduling enhance my workflow significantly. It's cost-effective for scaling projects and, in my experience, unmatched by competitors, making it a reliable tool worth repurchasing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main issue I encounter with Postman is related to switching between different organizations. It's quite tricky and problematic for users. Switching organizations can cause a lot of issues, and there are often errors that arise during the process. It can take around five to ten minutes and disrupts the workflow, which can be frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Postman for API testing, automating requests, and viewing responses without a UI. It saves time and streamlined our API management, proving irreplaceable with no competitors close, making it a cost-effective choice.

Postman
What do you like best about the product?
Postman has added several powerful updates recently — the AI Agent Builder lets you connect APIs with AI workflows easily, while Postman Insights and Repro Mode make debugging and monitoring real-time issues much easier. The ability to import external npm packages in scripts saves time when writing complex tests. I also like the new Spec Hub and typed collections, which strengthen the design-to-test workflow, and improved variable management and collaboration tools that make team development smoother and more secure.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Postman continues to evolve, it can still feel resource-intensive, especially with very large collections or multiple open workspaces. The desktop app sometimes lags or freezes during heavy testing. Collaboration and syncing across teams, though improved, can still be inconsistent at times. I’d also like to see better version control integration and more advanced features—like Insights and AI tools—available in free or lower tiers, so smaller teams can benefit without upgrading immediately.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Postman simplifies and streamlines the process of developing, testing, and documenting APIs. Instead of relying on command-line tools like cURL or writing custom scripts for every test, I can use Postman’s visual interface to quickly create requests, manage parameters, handle authentication, and validate responses. It also helps catch bugs earlier by allowing automated tests and mock servers, which speeds up the development cycle. For team projects, shared workspaces and version-controlled collections make collaboration much easier, reducing miscommunication and keeping everyone aligned on the latest API specs. Overall, it saves time, improves API quality, and enhances productivity.
