Rich and helpful reporting for marketing teams
What do you like best about the product?
Product usage and conversion-related analytics and reports that are very helpful for understanding what tactics work and what do not; so, needless to say we used Amplitude very often. It may require some getting used to in the beginning, though.
What do you dislike about the product?
In a few occasions, the data in reports generated by Amplitude didn't seem to be correct, so some help from the customer support team was needed. they have helped with every request, of course.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Learning more about user conversion statistics, marketing performance—we could get very specific data by generating own reports.
A very customisable and easy to use data analytics platform
What do you like best about the product?
The speed at which you can make dashboards.
The customisability of dashboards.
The ability to see user drop-offs at different stages in the funnel.
UI is great.
I use it once a week atleast.

What do you dislike about the product?
It takes some time to learn and get used to it, but it's easy once you get used to it. So implementation takes some time.
Dont know about customer support.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps us understand the product usage and analytics to understand interacton, activation of use and dormancy for certain features.Specifically for tracking adoption for features like sms, calling, AI voice agent calling, integrations.
At every step of a feature's actoivation journey, we are able to map user behaviour.

Usecase of amplitude
What do you like best about the product?
It is in general easy to use especially the UI is very clean
Ease of integration with the backend is quite good and easy as well

What do you dislike about the product?
Features are kind of not straight forward, like I wanted to search old events (and see their content and fields), I still do not know where to find those, so to test I went to the live events page and then triggered the event everytime
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us tracking the user event from the frontend side, which includes user clicks to understand the user behaviour and interactions
From the Backend (my work) mostly we send segment events to track analytics like payments/subscriptions. For eg we released a new company cancel faeture and tracked how it performed via the graphs and dashboard we created on Amplitude and was it above our expected level else we might think about rolling back that feature.
In other words it also helps us track feature engagement and to know if the feeature is performing good or not.

Powerful analytics with room for UI and documentation improvements
What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude provides a robust set of features that are essential for customer success, PLG tracking, and data-driven product decisions. I especially like the ability to create custom charts and run in-depth analyses, which I’ve found to be among the best in the market. The integrations with platforms like Segment are smooth and well-documented, making it easier to fit Amplitude into our existing stack. These capabilities allow us to double down on what customers love while identifying areas for product improvement.
What do you dislike about the product?
The sidebar navigation isn’t very intuitive, the hamburger menu hides key features, and it can be difficult to quickly access live or recent data compared to tools like Datadog. A “quick actions” section would make exploration much faster. While documentation is helpful, it could be enhanced with more video demos or SDK tooling walkthroughs. Adding AI-powered assistants or guided agents for integration could also significantly reduce the learning curve and setup effort.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps us understand user behavior at a very granular level, which is critical for improving product adoption and customer retention. By tracking product usage patterns, funnels, and cohorts, we’re able to identify which features drive the most value and double down on them. It also highlights friction points in the user journey so we can proactively address churn risks (session replays helps a lot here). For a PLG business model, this visibility is invaluable - our product, marketing, and success teams align better on decisions, leading to faster iteration, more customer-loved features, and ultimately higher revenue growth.
Fast, Trustworthy Product Insights at Scale
What do you like best about the product?
Powerful funnels, retention, and pathing that surface the “why” behind user behavior fast.
Cohorting is effortless: build segments off any event/property and reuse them across charts.
Journeys and “Stickiness” make it easy to spot aha moments and drop-off points.
Solid integrations (warehouse + CDPs) and governance tools to keep events/taxonomy clean.

What do you dislike about the product?
Learning curve: advanced charts and properties take time to master.
Cost can scale quickly with event volume and seats.
Occasional friction in chart/dashboard permissions and naming consistency.
Experiment features are improving but still trail best-in-class A/B platforms for depth.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Self-serve product analytics: funnels, retention, and pathing without waiting on data teams. Benefit: faster decisions and fewer ad hoc SQL requests.
Activation and lifecycle insights: cohorts and journeys reveal drop-offs and aha moments by segment. Benefit: higher conversion and retention.
Unified metrics and governance: consistent event taxonomy plus warehouse/CDP integrations. Benefit: trusted source of truth and end-to-end visibility.

Helpful dashboard of all analytics data clearly visualized but many toggles
What do you like best about the product?
There are many different variations of how to visualize our business metrics data that is helpful with technical and non-technical users. Customer support is helpful too with any questions and integrates nicely with existing metric data. Dashboards I create on Amplitude are shown many times to my team to help guide decisions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Amplitude has very many toggles that requires a steeper learning curve in order to create dashboards. The options are great but the ability to have a simplified view of all data is lacking to be able to quickly visualize metrics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Visualizing metrics data that is gathered in near real-time that I can show to my team. Filterable options are helpful too among the different monitors options and queries.
Powerful, data-rich, quick and clean platform for analytics
What do you like best about the product?
helpful dashboards, real time data. Custom dashboards help compare different behaviours easily and accurately by using segmentations, funnel, etc
What do you dislike about the product?
not very intuitive when exploring attribute values associated with an event. also the side modal/dialog does not have an option to close and going back takes you directly to home page having to restart everything from scratch
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
understand user behaviour, drop off points, perform comparisons for multiple behaviours available against a specific cohort. overall it enhances decision making
Approachable and easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Amplitude is how approachable it makes product analytics. You don’t need to be a data scientist to uncover insights. It is easy to access actionable insights for our process and team.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main challenge with Amplitude is it requires a solid implementation and governance plan. If events aren’t clearly defined, it can be hard to maintain data quality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps our teams uncover where customers are getting stuck, what drives engagement, and how product changes impact the user journey.
Great Analytics - Could be better UX
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to splice data in a million (exaggerating) ways. It's super helpful to do extremely in depth analysis on user acquisition and behavior. I also am a huge fan of how quick and easy it is to visualize data and compare against other periods. Some of our other tools don't have this comparison functionality built out as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ramping up your skills in Amplitude is a bit of a pain point. To this day I still mainly rely on reports that have been created and then toggle the dimensions. Some of the terminology on Amplitude doesn't tie to our internal definitions. I'm not sure if this is how we've configured the data or an Amplitude issue. Overall the pain points are worth it, once you're fully ramped on Amplitude theres a lot of powerful data.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's solving quite a few problems. Historically, Amplitude was the only software that allowed certain channel and sub-channel level reporting. We've since built out some other tools but this insight was critical for decision making, win forecasting, and CAC forecasting. Another key problem is understanding customer usage of certain feature. This has helped keep the team (product mainly) informed about what our customers are actually doing on a day to day basis. We couple this more quantitative data with some qualitative data from customer interviews.
Amplitude for work - feedback and insights
What do you like best about the product?
I can get an overview of our products and see who is doing what, what is being assigned. I can break down the info into smaller groups and cohorts to get more specific data, and I like the colors and graphs.
What do you dislike about the product?
I struggle sometimes with figuring out what I need and where or how to get it. I don't know that the product is particularly complex, it is more that i have a tendency to use it in spurts - where I will need a lot of info about different things, and then may not go back into it for another month or longer
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my role as a specialist and subject matter expert it is my job to determine the feasibility of products and make recommendations to keep, scrap, or reiterate and reboot. As a scientist and researcher I like data and I really prefer to have empirical evidence to support my decisions - data gives me the necessary support to be confident that my decisions are accurate and supported.
When I work on developing new products i also need to demonstrate efficacy and indicate the level of success we have achieved - data lets me do that.
