Quick Insights, But Costly for Startups

  • November 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Amplitude Analytics provides quick insights into user behavior, allowing me to answer a lot of questions literally in minutes without requiring any technical background. The quick request processing is extremely valuable, as it enables me to rely on data while making most decisions without spending extensive time making requests to a database or building dashboards in platforms like Tableau. The simplicity of its initial setup adds to its appeal, and these features collectively contribute to a seamless experience. I find the tool's efficiency and user-friendly nature exceptionally beneficial for making informed choices rapidly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's quite expensive, which can make it difficult to justify the purchase to management, especially if you're in a startup with negative cash flow.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude Analytics for quick insights into user behavior, enabling me to make data-driven decisions without any complex setup or spending hours on dashboards creation

Intuitive UI and Detailed Insights, A Solid Choice

  • November 06, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely appreciate Amplitude Analytics for its intuitive and user-friendly interface, which significantly enhances navigation and enables the effortless creation of dashboards. This ease of use is a considerable advantage over many competitors, as it allows these dashboards to be shared seamlessly with product teams, fostering a collaborative environment. Additionally, I highly value the detailed and well-documented raw data it provides, which is ideal for conducting ad-hoc analyses outside of Amplitude. This detailed data has been incredibly beneficial in helping us make well-informed decisions. Furthermore, the platform's collaborative nature and documentation further aid in efficient teamwork, making it a robust tool in our analytics arsenal.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think event tagging in Amplitude Analytics sometimes is a bit misleading. There's a need for more clarity on specific events and better documentation. It's not always about having numerous events; the clarity and understanding of those events are crucial. Also, the initial setup of Amplitude Analytics seemed medium to hard, which could be challenging for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplitude Analytics to track app and website traffic, allowing us to identify and tag specific events. Its detailed backend data aids informed decision-making, and the intuitive UI facilitates dashboard creation and team collaboration.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Amplitude Analytics is how intuitive and powerful the platform is. It allows teams to easily understand user behavior, measure product performance, and make data-driven decisions without needing deep technical knowledge. The visualization and segmentation features make insights immediately actionable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve can be a bit steep at first, especially for people who are new to product analytics.

The roles and permissions for administration are somewhat limited; there should be better management and flexibility in access controls and user permissions.

It empowers everyone — from product managers to marketers — to independently explore insights, build funnels, and validate hypotheses without relying on engineering or analytics teams. The platform’s real-time data and intuitive interface have accelerated our decision-making and improved collaboration across functions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Amplitude offers great insights, but building complex analyses or cross-product funnels can be non-intuitive for new users.Needs improvement in calculations inside array object, providing flexibility to change Home Page metrics.

Effortless Insights and Empowered Teams with Amplitude Analytics

  • October 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Amplitude Analytics is how effortlessly it turns complex behavioral data into clear, actionable insights. Its event-based structure and intuitive visualizations make exploration simple — from identifying user drop-offs to validating experiments in real time. It empowers teams to self-serve insights, reducing dependency on analysts and creating a shared understanding of what drives product growth.
What do you dislike about the product?
Advanced queries sometimes need external tools like BigQuery for deeper analysis. That said, these are more growing pains of scale than limitations — the core platform remains intuitive and highly impactful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps solve the challenge of fragmented insights by bringing all behavioral data into one place. It makes it easier to understand user journeys, measure experiment outcomes, and align teams on shared metrics. For me, it’s reduced time spent on manual analysis and enabled faster, more confident decision-making — ultimately improving how we learn, iterate, and build better product experiences.

Intuitive Insights That Link User Behavior to Business Outcomes Effortlessly

  • October 29, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Amplitude Analytics is how intuitively it connects user behavior to business outcomes. The event-based tracking model, funnels, and retention analyses make it easy to understand where users drop off and what drives engagement — all without deep technical setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Amplitude is incredibly powerful for behavioral analytics and democratizing insights, sometimes the flexibility can make deep custom analyses a bit complex without structured training. Additionally, as teams grow more data-mature, balancing simplicity for new users with advanced analytical needs can be a challenge
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude solves the problem of fragmented insights by bringing all event data into one place, enabling us to identify drop-offs, measure feature impact, and make faster, data-driven decisions. It has also democratized analytics across teams—marketers, product managers, and analysts can now independently explore insights without relying on engineering or BI support. This has improved our speed of experimentation, reduced decision cycles, and helped us build experiences that truly align with customer needs.

Insightful Analytics, But UI Feels Cluttered

  • October 28, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is very easy to quickly understand how a feature we have is performing and dig deep into why.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is adding too many things that give little value and cluttering the UI and product offering.

Understanding what our users are doing with our product. Without this, we would be unaware of how the features that we have are being used.

Intuitive Dashboards, But Wix Setup Needs Clearer Guidance

  • October 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It’s easy to use and has a clean, intuitive interface. The dashboards are well designed, and it’s simple to track user behavior and product metrics without much setup.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an owner, it was a bit confusing to set up the connection in Wix - I had to look for YouTube videos to figure it out. The documentation could be clearer and include a step-by-step guide for this setup. Some instructions in the articles are not very detailed, so it takes extra time to find the right way to connect everything properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude helps me understand where my users are coming from and how they interact with my product what they click, where they scroll the most, and which parts of the page get the most attention. It provides much deeper behavioral insights compared to Google Analytics, similar to what Yandex Metrica offers.

Versatile Insights with Easy Learning, But Customization Could Improve

  • October 27, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It has versatile functionality and with little learning anyone can extract product insights they want.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the functionality like adding and tracking a new event that was added recently seems hidden. It would be great if the platform could be customised for user base.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When we launch new features, Amplitude Analytics help with understanding adoption, analysing usage patterns and identifying bottlenecks. With an agile team like ours, every individual contributor has to think as a product person and Amplitude Analytics helps us do that.

Excellent Analytics & Support, But Pricing Limits Event Tracking

  • October 24, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Amplitude Analytics offers a wide range of charts, from basic to advanced, that address nearly all the needs you might have for product analytics. In addition, it provides effective data management tools like data alerts—which I find extremely useful—and data governance features that become especially valuable as your product grows in size and complexity. What truly stands out for me, though, is Amplitude’s customer support. Their team consistently provides thoughtful, well-reasoned responses and quickly grasps the issues I’m facing. It’s honestly the best support team I’ve ever encountered.
What do you dislike about the product?
Amplitude Analytics' pricing model is determined by data volume, meaning that the more events you track, the higher the cost. This structure discourages teams from tracking additional events, even though product teams generally want to collect as much data as possible. In our organization, this has become a significant obstacle. We have often had to implement feature flags to control which events are tracked, allowing us to disable certain events if the volume becomes too high. I believe pricing should be based on the number of users instead, so organizations can freely instrument events without constantly worrying about escalating Amplitude costs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Amplitude Analytics provides valuable insights into user behavior within our mobile apps, which is essential for enhancing our product. We have also used Amplitude to conduct AB tests, helping us optimize various stages of our product.
