Easy Way Of Tracking App Events
What do you like best about the product?
Able to track app events along with the user informations which will be helpful in tracking user journey
What do you dislike about the product?
There should be alert configuration based on heat map.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap is using in solving the heat map analysis of the APP and able to understand the usage of newly launched features by our users.
Accessing User History Makes Work A Breeze
What do you like best about the product?
I love that anytime I have to check a user's activity history I can easily pull that up with HEAP and know the exact dates and events that took place so I know how best to help. It also informs me of what signup pathway they took as well in the dashboard. HEAP also let's me know what type of browser and device they are using so I know if they are lying to me or are just confused.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that a lot of times events/timestamps aren't in a linear order. Some of the events are very odd jargon and not always consistent so it can be confusing sometimes (e.g. if the user completed a session in the app it will say _completed while if done on the website it says _end and you have to take a second to remember which is which). Also, sometimes it takes forever to load all of the events. And at times even if a user has history it doesn't pull up any of their info, although rare, it's still annoying when it happens.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's helped me to figure out what type of browser and device the user has been using if running into technical difficulties. It's also helped me to figure out if the user is going to the right location to sign in or change passwords. And it's helped to show me when they've signed up or registered interest in research studies.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Always reach out to HEAP support for help with any questions!
The Backbone of our analytics!
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use and powerful querying makes this tool priceless. Every day is a charm using a tool like Heap, sometimes the querying in other competitors tools makes it a bit tedious, but with heap everything is super quick and effective.
What do you dislike about the product?
The pricing of the Connect feature to a startup is unreachable. There should be an entry point of pricing for smaller businesses, the pricing is the only setback in a tool like Heap.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use heap everyday to track all of our users' behaviors, from UX to purchase. You can actually see everything your users are doing with the graph tools and reporting dashboards that come with Heap. Great tool!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Great tool, the only setback is the pricing when you're a startup.
used heap in product management role
What do you like best about the product?
Heap is quite user-friendly and is a useful tool for analysing current user trends and using this information for the report and evaluation of future stories.
What do you dislike about the product?
More training docs like wizards or videos, wizards or videos, wizards or videos, wizards or videos.

How many reported errors there are, i like the graphs very useful to visual data

Easy to understand and powerful analytics tool for SaaS
What do you like best about the product?
Heap is really easy to navigate. They recently released a series of "report starters" to help you run reports that have really helped my analytics deep dives. It asks you a question, then prompts you plug in the areas of your app that would help to answer that question and is thought provoking as well as helpful for learning how to use the reports.
I like the dashboards feature too, you can quickly go in and create easily understood dashboards to share with stakeholders. It's easy to tag things and create segments.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to report on account based activity, and I find if you're not already familiar with analytics software, it's hard to grasp for novice users. I wish they had more integrations as well, it's almost impossible for us to get data on engagement from our email programs since we have Pardot and they don't integrate with that particular ESP.
I also wish they had heat mapping we could segment, this was a feature in Pendo I used constantly.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to see the effects of engagement on our usage and other product improvements from multiple channels.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're looking for account-based reporting, I would investigate Heap closely to see if it will meet your needs. Same goes for using in-app messaging, there is a lot of extra leg work to run detailed analytics on in-app messaging so just make sure that you're willing to put that leg work in before you buy.
Work well, easy setup, and allows to retroactively analyze behavior
What do you like best about the product?
The big upside to Heap is that is tracks everything by default. It means there's less need to ask devs add tracking code, and it's easier to track and analyze something you didn't think about before.
What do you dislike about the product?
The onboarding of the tool is still hard for non-technical people. Querying data requires knowledge, or at least to learn about how Heap works. It's not intuitive enough, and this means we had to spend time educating internal users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It helps us analyze behavior in our products, conversion funnels, conversions paths, time between specific actions, etc. It is very good to measure the performance of a product/feature, and validate assumptions about how our customers are using it (or discover how they use hack around it).
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just make sure pick one analytics platform, and stick to it. Having multiple tools makes it really hard to consolidate data.
Easy implementation, faster insights! - And a plan for everyone!
What do you like best about the product?
- Easy to implement and saves developer time.
- Retroactive dataset reduces the time to define and wait for data population.
- Event Visualizer is powerful and easy to use.
- Clean and Minimal UI making it intuitive to use.

What do you dislike about the product?
The queries when run to understand the actions performed doesn't show the total user count which makes it tough to capture holistic view.
Haven't used it that extensively but whatever I tried I was able to do.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding the usage of the application to guide product & design decisions.
The goal was to not miss on user data generated while users interact with our application and then analyze them to discover drop-off points and subsequently iterate towards a simpler solution.

Forget and set is better than set-and-forget
What do you like best about the product?
Once we had Heap set up, I could immediately see historical data. Autotracking is a huge plus for us. You can be confident that you’ll be able to answer questions you haven’t thought of yet.
Paths reports & Influence reports uncover insights that would not immediately be available in reports you filter yourself.

What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the filters are a little counterintuitive and the UX on graphs needs work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Well basically I am solving other people's problems now because I understand analytics better. It's a fairly easy to use system though so hopefully I can train others to do their own analysis.
Automagically capture interaction
What do you like best about the product?
Heap's event-driven tracking and automatic capturing help you sleep better at night.
What do you dislike about the product?
Ability to easily export data in real-time in a cost-effective manner - you require an Entreprise plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Real-time tracking without the hassle.
