User friendly quick data access for non dev team members- helps drive business analytics
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to set up events with visualizer that allows non-dev resources to quickly track data. Once even s set up you have data immediately - no need to wait like other platforms for the data collection to begin.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not always 100% sure that the event I set up is capturing all the data or if I am over/undercounting. Harder to track conditional events that are not unique pages or clicks (e.g. does this lightbox show when users hit a page).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Testing and refining user flows for onboarding. Allows us to collect front end metrics on interactions and then map these back to the back end data we have to see a full picture of the user experience.

Robust and Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
Heap's "auto track" capabilities are awesome and easy to use; its saved time on our engineering and product teams when it comes to implementing tracking and retroactively catching areas we missed.
What do you dislike about the product?
We need to sometimes leverage Heap support to set up more intricate events, but they've been incredible helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Identify user behavior and patterns that lead to repeat engagement.
Very powerful tool that I feel unequipped to use to its full potential.
What do you like best about the product?
Having a behavioral analytics tool that allows me to define any and all behavior on our company's website has been really powerful at times. Being able to set up my own dashboard with the data I care about is a great option.
What do you dislike about the product?
To this point I don't feel equipped with the training to create the right reports. I often get confused with different options for filters or groupings that cause me to give up on Heap for times.

We have been able to look at conversion rate by different landing pages and clicks from the home page. This has allowed us to A/B test and optimize the home page to fit the needs of our customers. We have also been able to look at the performance of our carousel on the homepage and which creative has performed better. This taught us to reduce the amount of items in the carousel from 5 to 3 as the last two were not performing at all.
The power to create detailed analytics for user interactions with your website
What do you like best about the product?
The best part of using Heap is being able to define specific "funnels" to understand at what point in your website flow users are dropping off. It helps to identify what areas need UI/UE improvements. If someone is dropping off at an obscure place in the page flow we can identify any issues or areas that need improvement quickly.
It's easy to filter site traffic and section off into various categories to understand where visitors go after clicking a specific ad.
You can also set up "Dashboards" to organize your reports and get a bird's eye view of all incoming data related to those reports.
Another cool feature is the "event visualizer" which allows you to browse your website and define events visually. For example, while using the visualizer, you can click buttons on your website and turn that into an "event" in HEAP. You can then go back into HEAP and pull data showing how many visitors clicked that button, along with other actions they took surrounding that action. The best part is, events are retroactive as far back as the date you first added the HEAP code to your website.

What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly I have not found anything that I dislike about Heap. That is rare.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are tracking the effectiveness of our Facebook and Google Ad campaigns. This helps us hone our ads and our landing pages in ways that give users a better experience on our websites and help us save money by discontinuing ineffective ads/landing pages.
It also helps us to discover "pain points" on the website and any areas where visitors could be getting frustrated and leaving the site.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's only limited to Analytics and it's not easy to integrate with other tools.
It's hard to see the customer session usage on the site, there is no visual tool for it.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Analytics, tracking customer events and defining funnels.
The major benefits is once you integrate with your site, it tracks ALL events on the page, then you could name them to see historical data.
Native integration with Shopify (only with new orders)

Heap Analytics Review
What do you like best about the product?
Heap is great for creating conversion funnels, looking at different user flows and tracking metrics.
What do you dislike about the product?
We use fullstory on top of heap and wish we only had to use one tool. Fullstory gives us the visual of what the user is doing. Heap has good user flow tracking visuals but it's not the same as watching what the user actually does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conversion tracking, metric tracking. Viewing user flows and seeing which users did what. Identifying customer pain points.
Really nice tool
What do you like best about the product?
The pricing is good and the graphics in dashboard are easy to set up. Setup is quite simple, sharing dashboards is also simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that performance of scripts loaded can be improved. I think there is a lot to improve in that area.
Also there is somethings else that needs to be done as feature, like a REST api or something like this. Not only client side metrics.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understanding AB testings, review goals and funnels. Understand segmentation of users and the new feature that shows average loading time.
Heap answers questions you didn't even know you had
What do you like best about the product?
The Heap UI is one of the most user friendly and intuitive in any SaaS tools I use. I truly enjoy using Heap on a day to day basis as the insights it provides are so valuable and its like a little treasure hunt. Whenever I have a theory, it take a matter of minutes to get hard data on what the reality of things is.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, nothing comes to mind as a 'dislike'. I guess my only 'dislike' would be that I wish I had more time to use Heap and become a beyond expert Heap user. Their analysis functions can be somewhat foreign to someone who is primarily in a customer facing role, without the the expert data analytics know how, like myself. But recently they released "pre-built" reports which are extremely useful for me as a baseline to begin thinking about what questions I want Heap to answer and that the tool can.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
- Measuring Customer Adoption
- Identifying user actions/behaviors that lead to positive/negative experiences

Heap makes quick, actionable insights posible
What do you like best about the product?
Heap opens up the door for infinite opportunities to track - whether it's tracking a button click, page view, or anything else. It's super intuitive and easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you're used to GA, there is a learning curve and not yet parity with all GA can do (at least for marketing).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're tracking site behavior, helps us figure out lead form drop off, helps us retroactively measure.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you understand what Heap gives you vs GA
Easy to use and not dependant on others
What do you like best about the product?
I don't need developers to implement code, and I can answer my data and behaviour questions.
What do you dislike about the product?
The event explorer don't consider interactions, I need to inspect the code.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Measure the usage of certain feature, undestand user behavior
