Valuable insights for marketing and site developers
What do you like best about the product?
The #1 standout feature of Heap Analytics vs every other analytics tool that we use is that nearly every event from all of your users is automatically recorded. If you define a new event a year after you start using Heap, the HISTORICAL stats for that event are available.
This is a unique and extremely valuable feature of the way Heap tracks activity of your users. I can't count the number of times someone has wanted to know stats on something we haven't thought of before. In seconds, I can define a new event and analyse that event on its own or as part of a conversion funnel.
Heap makes it simple to add properties to your users or record custom events against a user as well. We use Heap as an adjunct to our A/B testing in VWO by assigning a Heap user property to track which variant of a test each user saw. We can dig deeply into user behaviours and conversion data alongside the normal goals in VWO.
We have a number of custom dimensions that we push to Google Analytics and it's simple to add these to Heap as well.

Most flexible analytics tool out there, still getting better
What do you like best about the product?
We used a bunch of different tools before we found Heap, and have been using it for the past 4 years. Its ability to record everything and let you figure out what you want to query later, rather than having to write code to record particular events and then wait for the data to get collected, is a killer differentiator when compared tools like Mixpanel
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface hasn't always been leading edge, but it's definitely improved over the last 12 months

We use Stitch for both our mobile app and our web apps and web site to analyze user behavior and make decisions.

The insights and analytics provided by Heap are incredibly powerful. There are a ton of metrics that it collects that you can use to run reports. I've probably only scratched the surface myself and am learning new options every day.

Powerful and a lot of effort to set up
What do you like best about the product?
How granular I can get with identifying site element performance and the easy way I can tag events on a page.
I also appreciate the easy at which graphs are created.

What do you dislike about the product?
The organization of the platform means I can't bucket folders within folders and things get duplicated and messy.
There's so much set up to do. I have to carve out a lot of my time to build paths. I wish I could "auto analyze" where every new item had a certain set of filters automatically applied.

Looking at enroll path engagement.
Honestly, we haven't had an insight from Heap in a while, because we haven't been committing time to it.
