What do you like best about the product?
Simple to use and graphs are easy to share.
What do you dislike about the product?
There could be some improvements in the account-level analysis.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Understand which parts of the product are being used.
Quick and easy to use, great support, great insights.
What do you like best about the product?
Once you integrate Heap into your platform, it will start giving you immediate feedback and storing the data since that very first moment without you having to do anything else. Heap's support, education and community teams are amazing and will quickly help you out get the information that you need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Since it only tracks Frontend interactions it has its limitations and you will always need to have a second tool for tracking the backend. They're also still on their way to embed their charts outside of Heap, but fingers crossed they will get there soon!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap helps me understand several key things:
- Are my new features being useful for my users?
- Are my users engaging actively with my tool or are they dropping it?
- Am I investing in the correct features?

More Insightful, Customizable Alternative to GA4
What do you like best about the product?
Visual labeling, historical data is tracked from the onset, session replays, and complete customizability.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is a bit of a learning curve, but they have great resources and support. Also, it can be difficult to break down metrics by different domains/environments, but again, once you learn the fundamentals, this process becomes easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Complete overview and analysis of marketing website analytics, behavioral analytics, and product analytics.
Great in deriving insights on product usage
What do you like best about the product?
Really easy to set up events that can then be tracked. It's a powerful tool in understanding what users do when they visit a page.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to be able to create more types of charts, and download the data into a spreadsheet (not in a CSV format) so that it's easy to create more reports from it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product usage analysis
Automatic tracking with simple report generation
What do you like best about the product?
Everything tracking retrospectively. Just deploy features and then come back and generate reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing can be a bit high when compared to other products, based on sessions which can come and go and then move you up a tier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap gives us eyes on how users are using the product. We can easily look at aggregate stats or on a per-user basis.
It makes it very easy to set up dashboards to have a great view on what we're doing.

Product Manager
What do you like best about the product?
I learned to use it fairly quickly and run queries for my A/B tests. I love that it is mostly "drag and drop," and no coding knowledge is required to use the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
The trainings were a little longer than I had hoped for. It would be best to have short 20-30 minute onboarding videos tailored to new users' use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used heap primarily to run queries on product performance and A/B tests when we are testing new initiatives. As a new PM, Heap was the least intimidating data visualization tool.
Great product
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to learn and implement. The dashboards and reports are easy to setup and extremely insightful
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes with the auto-tracking Heap makes assumptions on events and how users are interacting with your product. Some help prompts when setting up events or reminders to review defined events to make sure they are being accurately tracked would be helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap is helping us better understand how our users are engaging with our organization digitally and how we can make our digital products more engaging and easier to use.
Well build software that is easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
It allows the non-engineering users to setup analysis without further help. Unlike some competitors, you don't need engineer to setup points in the code in order to track analytics.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some advanced feature is sold as an add-on rather than part of the core package.
The data set is anonymized, so it is hard to track a specific user if I want to. (Or maybe I am not looking at the right place)

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use heap mainly to track feature usage rates to determine the level of usage of individual features. The analysis helps us decide whether to invest more in an area or change/deprecate an area.
Other team members will use Heap to track the user journey, albeit, given the complexity of our software, this gets quite messy from a mapping perspective.

A solid analytics platform that's easy to setup and configure
What do you like best about the product?
Collecting data is straightforward and I really like the ability to combine events. The charts are easy to set up and have a perfect amount of configuration. The visualizations are easy to understand.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish a few minor UI interaction patterns were resolved, like searching for and selecting items from a dropdown. It also would be great if there were more of a natural language way to create reports and charts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Heap lets us get a high level view of everything that's happening in our product and helps us easily set up visualizations and reports to understand what users are actually doing.
