Powerful analytics tool for teams with limited resources

What do you like best about the product?
- The Heap platform is well designed so that it allows you to create a lot of different types of reports/analyses
- Minimal engineering support is needed to get your environment set up
- Heap University provides great resources for new users to learn best practices for the platform
What do you dislike about the product?
- At times, I do wish I had a bit more visibility into the underlying data. It can be a challenge to audit a dataset that isn't right. In those cases, you don't always know what the problem is, but being able to look at the raw data would be helpful
- There aren't many options to customize the charts so they are export-ready (e.g., editing the title and axis labels, changing the units, adding colors)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a better way to track user behavior/product engagement analytics on our platform. Heap solves this problem in a scalable way that will adapt to our product as it evolves over time (e.g., when we edit flows or add new features, Heap is instantly ready to track those features without any additional engineering resources). The biggest game-changer is that there was little setup that is required from our engineering team in order to get Heap up and running, which was a must given our very limited resources.

What do you like best about the product?
No custom code needed to track events which means engineering doesn't need to be pulled in on a regular basis
User friendly. It was easy to get answers to simple product questions right off the bat
What do you dislike about the product?
Haven't found a lot of technical documentation on features like how cross device tracking is done
More custom reporting capabilities when the out of the box reports aren't ideal
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Product funnel dropoff and latency
More insights into cross channel and device performance
User friendly UI with some visualizations to quickly validate hypotheses

Event Definitions set up is so easy and doesn't require an engineer! Which is less friction for us!

What do you like best about the product?
I like that anyone in the company can go in and begin using Heap. Other tools require more dev work to set up events. This slows down the initial setup and creates friction for implementing analytics & measurement data into the product development process. With Heap we can start building out reports from day 1, and it's pretty simple to use. Of course, there is a learning curve, and use cases vary. However, I believe the Heap team does an excellent job of engaging with and training folks to get the most from the product.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like Heap's user session timeline and its design. However, I wish I could view recorded user sessions in Heap like you can in FullStory. Although FullStory integrates nicely into Heap and I can quickly jump into FullStory from the Heap User Session view, I'd prefer to have one user session product than two.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our product development team works very closely with our clients/users. Product decisions are made, and features are built based on qualitative data and isolated anecdotal cases. This has been ok, but there has been very little effort to balance this out with quantitative data, and we are currently not measuring the success of our product experiences. With Heap Analytics we can now obtain & leverage more robust discovery data to make wiser product development decisions and measure the success of those outcomes.

Robust BI Tool for Agile Organizations

What do you like best about the product?
Heap has many great features. On the data ingestion side -- auto-capture is a savior, server-side event integration is seamless. There is no lag time between tracking any client-side event and extracting insights. We are pushing our server-side events through Zapier -- which has been easy to test in a sandbox environment then ultimately push into production.

There are tons of modules to play around with, incorporating both client and server-side events. Heap University 101 and 102 will help you learn everything you need to know.

We have improved our conversion funnels and increased our LTV retention through the usage of Heap.

They are also constantly releasing new features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their support system can be pretty slow to resolve issues. But their answers are usually thoughtful and thorough.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Some of the problems that Heap is really good at solving:
• Paid acquisition funnels
• User retention
• Increasing LTV for subscribers
• Creating robust and dynamic user segments

What do you like best about the product?
There's so much information collected about user behavior. Utilized correctly, that can be powerful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's a steep learning curve for collecting valuable insights.

We're not utilizing it to its fullest, unfortunately.

What do you like best about the product?
Really love how easy Heap was to set up. Great integrations with the most important datasets and the overview of important touchpoints from our user community were crucial. Their help team has been invaluable to us!
What do you dislike about the product?
As an admin, I do need to say, I wish Heap supported a full Okta Integration Network connection. Provisioning, Push Groups, profile mapping, would all be key in making the Admin experience even better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting actionable results from our KPIs based on user analytics. These have been critical in our product roadmap. Analytics inform us of our customer pain points and help us drive better results.

What do you like best about the product?
Amazing tool. The ability to quickly view session replays or heatmaps for specific journeys/landing pages is superior to any other product on the market. The insights section allows you to build custom reports and events quickly and efficiently.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't necessarily call this a dislike, more of a call out that it's quite a powerful tool and the interface definitely has a bit of a learning curve. With so many features and functions, it takes a minute to get up to speed. Well worth your time!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are trying to optimize paid media landing pages to increase conversion. We have been able to acquire actionable insight through Auryc and changes made have led to significant improvements in ROI.

What do you like best about the product?
Great, easy to understand, and modify dashboards, reports, and analyses. A good place to consolidate analytics.

Visual design and the aesthetic can be a little drab – but not at all an issue with functionality.

What do you like best about the product?
Viewing heat maps, click maps, and how much revenue each area of a particular landing page makes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to pinpoint our site speed issues.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use filters, groupings and segments! I'm able to pinpoint which groups of users are doing what and at what rates. This is very helpful for planning tailored experiences and experiments for different users based on their user behaviour on site, or other identifying characteristics (ex device)
What do you dislike about the product?
The path function in heap could be clearer - I'd like to see how many users completed what paths, and similar to the influence touchpoints, a quick summary about which paths were most common
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seeing page specific insights and overall insights for how our site visitors are interacting with the site. Which common touchpoints are highest converting, which flows can be better leveraged etc
