New Relic: Unmatched Observability for Faster Fixes, but Prepare for a Feature Heavy Interface
What do you like best about the product?
As a user, what I value most is having a comprehensive, unified view of our entire technology stack on a single platform. The NRQL query language stands out as exceptional, enabling us to pose detailed questions about all our application, log, and infrastructure data in one place. This capability has significantly reduced the time it takes to troubleshoot issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
The main challenge I face is the steep learning curve caused by the overwhelming number of features. For new team members, the interface often appears cluttered and can be difficult to navigate, which makes it hard to quickly locate the specific metrics or logs needed for troubleshooting. This complexity tends to slow down the onboarding process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New Relic addresses the challenge of having monitoring data scattered and isolated across our complex, modern software architecture. Previously, we needed to consult several different tools for logs, metrics, and traces just to diagnose a single issue.
The main advantage is a significant decrease in Mean Time To Resolution (MTTR). By bringing all our data together in one platform and automatically correlating it with features such as Distributed Tracing, we are able to quickly identify the root cause from the initial user click all the way to the database query and resolve production problems up to five times faster than before.

Effortless Real-Time Insights with an Intuitive Interface
What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate how New Relic provides clear, real-time insights into application performance with minimal effort required on my part. The intuitive user interface makes it easy and stress-free to identify issues quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
There’s not much to complain about, although a few of the more advanced setup steps might seem a little technical initially. However, after everything is set up, it operates smoothly and reliably.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New Relic helps us quickly identify performance bottlenecks, crashes, and slow network calls in the Android frontend. This has made debugging faster and improved overall app stability and user experience.
Comprehensive Monitoring with Real-Time Insights and Custom Dashboards
What do you like best about the product?
1. End-to-end visibility across the entire application stack: It lets you monitor backend, frontend, infra, logs, and APM in one place.
2. Real-time performance insights: Immediate data updates help quickly detect spikes, latency, and errors.
3. Powerful dashboards and customizable visualizations: Easy to build visual boards that give business + technical clarity.

What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest challenges with New Relic are the steep learning curve and the interface, which can feel overwhelming initially. The pricing structure can also become expensive as data ingestion grows, and setting up alerts sometimes feels more complicated than it should be.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1) Lack of visibility into application performance

Clear Visibility and Seamless Integrations Make Monitoring Easy
What do you like best about the product?
I like New Relic for its clear visibility, reliable alerts, and easy integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike its high pricing and that some features feel scattered and take time to navigate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New Relic helps identify performance issues across apps and services in real time, so problems are easier to trace and fix. This saves time during outages and keeps the user experience smooth.
New relic: comprehensive platform for observability and performance
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about new relic is it's end to end observability and it's incredibly powerful for tracking metrics across applications , infrastructure, logs and user experience, all in one unified dashboard
What do you dislike about the product?
The initial setup and configuration can be overwhelming for first time users. With so many features available it takes time to understand which ones are essential for our environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New relic helps us proactively monitor performance, detect issues and optimize resources. We no longer need multiple tools for APM, infrastructure and logs , everything is consolidated
Insightful Performance Monitoring, But Occasional Alert and Connectivity Issues
What do you like best about the product?
This tool provides useful insights into response times, threads, JVM, and external services by presenting the data through graphs and charts. It makes it easier to understand system performance and identify potential issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times when alerts do not come through, or I experience connectivity problems.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool provides useful insights into JVM response times for microservices by presenting the data in clear graphs. The visualizations make it easier to understand performance trends and identify potential issues.
Powerful Observability Platform with Great Insights and Some Complexity
What do you like best about the product?
New Relic provides a very detailed and intuitive observability platform. The real-time performance monitoring, distributed tracing, and powerful dashboards make it easy to identify bottlenecks quickly. I especially like how seamlessly it integrates with multiple tech stacks — from mobile apps to backend services — and how the alerting system helps catch production issues before they impact users. The UI is clean, data visualization is excellent, and the query-based insights (NRQL) give a lot of flexibility for deeper analysis.
What do you dislike about the product?
While New Relic is feature-rich, the initial setup and configuration can be a bit complex for newcomers. Some advanced features require fine-tuning to get accurate metrics, and the pricing can become high as data volume grows. At times, dashboards load slowly when handling very large datasets, and the documentation, though extensive, could be more beginner-friendly for specific use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
New Relic helps us detect performance issues proactively before they impact end users. It provides end-to-end observability — from backend latency to app-level crashes and ANRs in Android — allowing the team to quickly pinpoint root causes. This has significantly reduced debugging time, improved release confidence, and enhanced overall app stability and customer experience
Powerful Real-Time Insights, But UI Complexity Slows Onboarding
What do you like best about the product?
I like that New Relic gives clear, real-time visibility into how applications perform. It helps quickly find performance issues, slow APIs, or errors with detailed metrics, logs, and traces—all in one dashboard. The APM and alerting features make it easy to monitor uptime and user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that New Relic’s UI and setup can be a bit complex, and it sometimes takes effort to find specific metrics or traces quickly. Also, querying data with NRQL can have a learning curve for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Makes Tracking Easier Than Ever
What do you like best about the product?
The user interface and dashboards are intuitive, and the setup process is straightforward. The platform is responsive, with comprehensive documentation and effective monitoring features. The logging capabilities make managing tasks simpler, and there are robust integrations with various cloud providers.
What do you dislike about the product?
NRQL can be challenging for newcomers to learn. The pricing model may also be difficult to understand at first. If not configured properly, alerts have the potential to become noisy or repetitive, which can result in alert fatigue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool offers distributed tracing along with real-time error analytics. It helps me track issues as they occur and understand how different parts of the system interact, making it easier to identify and resolve problems quickly.
Great Licensing Model, But Needs More Features to Compete
What do you like best about the product?
Simple Licensing model covering vast capabilities
What do you dislike about the product?
Should expand capabilities compared to other equal competitors
