Solid product!
What do you like best about the product?
That its web based and handles both backups and offsite storage of said backups in one product. Would have needed 2 solutions with Veeam
What do you dislike about the product?
The reports aren't straight forward. I just want to see an email that simply says if backups were successful or not. I don't need all that other bs
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Druva Phoenix takes the guesswork out of server backups
What do you like best about the product?
Druva Phoenix has a global dedupe feature helps our backup storage credits go further. 12x infact.
What do you dislike about the product?
When something isn't backing up, we need to dive into a log file on the server to parse out what went wrong. Would prefer to be able to go back to the console and try to backup just that one file again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're solving the issue of only maintaining backups on premise. This solution allows us to be secure if our office is ever destroyed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
We also went with Druva inSync when considering Druva Phoenix. It's nice for our admin team to be able to jump into one portal to manage both backup product. One thing to consider is how often the data changes and if you have enough upload bandwidth to support this type of product. A larger database may take more than a day to backup on slower connections.
Solid product

Reasonable tech support removed the on-prem hardware requirements
What do you dislike about the product?
Set up was a little involved-1st time took some effort
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Excellent VMWare backup solution with tested restore process
What do you like best about the product?
I specifically use Druva for VMWare vCenter, though it can also be used without vCenter, i.e. directly on ESXI hosts. I like the simple and straightforward setup of Druva proxies. The restore process is not perfect but pretty close (much better than other solutions). Druva also offers the ability to use multiple proxy VM's for increased redundancy. Lastly, these proxy VM's are prebuilt by Druva so deployment is very quick.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost if obviously a fairly big pain point for some organizations. I think Druva is scalable up to a certain level, and then building or buying a backup solution + using S3 buckets becomes more price effective.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backup solution with the ability to make VM's highly transportable.
Vice President of Information Technology
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of set up and scheduling options. Flexible Proxy server setup on VMware, one-click, enter IP you are done.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sizing the backup space needed, we came close but I think we will adjust it next year for more space, good thing is it's all credit-based, so we are will not have to address it right away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the main things we were looking for was more flexibility in our backups and the option to restore locations. With the AWS DR option, we can now restore our servers in AWS and not worry about hardware upgrades.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take your time and look at all the options.
Cloud-based backup that adapts well for our remote workforce
What do you like best about the product?
Cloud-based management console, ease of use and deployment, good support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Can be expensive - always negotiate pricing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have around 100 remote locations across 3 states. Due to the nature of our business, we're required to have backups of all our endpoints. Druva makes deployment and setting up policies simple while backing up to a cloud repository.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Best thing is to do a trial yourself and make sure you negotiate pricing - there is always wiggle room!
Druva's been great for us
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity, set and forget. It's not failed any recovery efforts we've needed it for.
What do you dislike about the product?
The onprem version has been flawless for us. For our cloud instance, we've had the occasional support call to re-up storage but support and the account teams have always been great.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Simplicity of backup for legal hold needs and our road warriors.
