Dramatic productivity boost, delivering value from day 1

What do you like best about the product?
I managed to build a personal finances app with a good deal of features literally from day 1, exploring on the AppSmith free plan connected to a Supabase DB. I also explored AppSheet and Budibase for the same project before, but my experience was far inferior with these alternative and I wasn't able to reach a reasonable progress in the time I was able to spend.

The speed of development is incredible and I was able to navigate my way through by only spending a few minutes on tutorials when getting blocked. The concept of having managed queries (as wrappers over the DB) makes a ton of sense, as well.

I tested so far the integration with a PostgreSQL relational DB in Supabase and the experience of setting this up was also very smooth (including the usage of the Deno framework).

It is marvelous how AppSmith combines ease-of-use with power, given that almost everything is parametrizable with JavaScript behind the scenes. Apps are never straight-cut, and my experience with low-code/no-code tools before was that I hit a roadblock where I would have needed to write a bit of code to achieve my goals.

Such a comprehensive set of features, a UX first focus and the ability to freely extend the funcitonality are for me huge wins!
What do you dislike about the product?
Getting aligned to the best practices (in order to scale your efforts down the line) takes time, but that is the proper design time that needs to go behind any engineering endeavor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
    - productivity from day 1
    - extensibility/customizability for those 5% of the requirements that are usually hard/impossible to cover by plan low-code/no-code tools
    - generous free plan to start with
    - robust UX

Great software for people with some experience developing software.

What do you like best about the product?
Appsmith offers a decently powerful interface to easily create CRUD interfaces to a variety of databases and other integrations

With helpers towards some of the most consistent tasks .

By allowing you to use arbitrary SQL, JavaScript code, you are empowered to transform the data without limitations, within the confines of the application.

It's typically deployed as a monolithic OCI container, which makes it easy to deploy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Compared to other low code platforms, the usecases that are streamlimited are fewer.

For example, it has no integrated way to output an URL with properly encoded RFC 3986 format, however, it is capable of using the JS function encodeURIComponent() and encodeURI() to the same end.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows us to create frontend to our applications and databases much faster and with much lower complexity.

User-friendly with more competitive pricing compared to competitors

What do you like best about the product?
Appsmith is easy to use and highly configurable, offering great flexibility in its free plan. It also provides startup companies with credits towards paid plans
What do you dislike about the product?
It would be great to have branding features included in the free plan or a paid plan dedicated solely to branding.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Helps you rapidly deploy a fully functional UI application based on your API or database in just minutes. What I liked most is the ability to create pages that allow direct editing and updating of the database, making basic tasks much easier and faster.

    Best No Code Tool

What do you like best about the product?
With Appsmith, there's no need to worry about coding for design; you can focus entirely on building the functionality of your application. Its intuitive drag-and-drop interface, combined with a variety of pre-built integrations, makes it easy to create custom applications efficiently. Whether you're a seasoned developer or someone with no coding experience, Appsmith helps you streamline the development process and significantly improve your productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
As long as the app meets your needs, there’s really nothing to dislike. The process may vary, but in the end, you'll achieve the results you're aiming for!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
No-code has saved us a lot of time. We work extensively with SQL data, and getting the right reports to the right people with the correct filtered views is now super simple.

We’ve built dashboards with user-selectable dropdowns, radio buttons, and more, allowing users to interact directly with Appsmith to get exactly what they need. They can also input data on their end, which is then saved to SQL based on workflow requirements.

I’m even controlling a CNC machine I built using Appsmith via API access. It’s amazing how much we can accomplish in a short time with Appsmith—I can come up with an idea and deliver the end result in just 20-60 minutes!
