Overview
Built on the Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating system (OS), this AMI is designed for advanced Linux users working on EC2 GPU-based instances, and is optimized for high-performance graphics, animation, and scientific activities. The AMI comes with NICE DCV, which is a high-performance remote display protocol that provides a secure way to deliver remote desktops and application streaming from any cloud or data center to any device. The AMI includes GRID drivers. These drivers are certified to provide optimal performance for professional visualization applications that render content such as 3D models or high-resolution videos. This AMI receives updates via the AWS Red Hat Update Infrastructure (RHUI).
Highlights
- Pre-installed NICE DCV which provides high-performance remote desktop solution.
- Pre-installed and configured GRID drivers for professional virtualization applications.
- Pre-installed RHEL Workstation OS. Subscriptions for Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation are only supported for and priced per a single individual user remote desktop on a GPU accelerated Instance Type.
