    Overview

    The Rubrik Cluster Expansion Service provides installation and configuration of additional nodes into an existing Rubrik cluster, up to the maximums specified in this Service Brief.

    Important Notes

    • Rubrik Cluster Expansion: This base expansion service deploys up to one (1) Brik and up to four (4) additional nodes to an existing Rubrik cluster. Additional nodes can be added by purchasing the ACD-AHS-BUP-RBKEXP-ADD SKU.

    Service Overview

    This is a fixed scope Service where experienced AHEAD personnel perform the following:

    • Project management
    • Design, configuration, implementation, and verification of in-scope components
    • Provide competed Service Deliverables
    • Conduct Functional Overview to familiarize Clients staff with the solution. This is not a substitute for formal training.

    Service Scope

    During this Service, AHEAD performs the following:

    Planning

    • Provides pre-site checklist and design requirements
    • Ensures environmental and operational requirements are met by Client
    • Plans and estimates schedules
    • Establishes project status meetings and communication cadence
    • Validates equipment is on-site at the appropriate location

    Deployment Phase

    • Racks up to four (4) Rubrik nodes in a customer-provided rack
    • Installs the slide rails in Clients rack
    • Mounts the node in the rack
    • Connects data network cables to customer-provided switches
    • Connects redundant power connections and powers on the nodes

    System Configuration Phase

    • Configures the Management and Data network IP addresses
    • Configures IPMI addresses
    • Installs necessary Rubrik Software on the node
    • Verifies the system configuration matches with Client provided information
    • Verifies the connectivity to the Client network
    • Adds node to the cluster
    • Confirms new node capacity is added to the cluster

    Validation and Handoff Phase

    • Conducts a basic product Functional Overview to familiarize Client with the implemented solution, demonstrating the normal operations as installed in client environment
    • Provides the user acceptance testing requirements to the Client-assigned resource(s).
    • Meets with Client staff for project closure, including sign-off of the AHEAD Project Completion Form

    Service Deliverables

    The following deliverables are provided in connection with this Service:

    • High level Project Plan
    • Test Plan, which may include a basic Functional Overview
    • As-Built Guide of the implementation
    • Project Completion Form

    Service Exclusions

    AHEAD is responsible only for performing the Service, as described herein. All other services are considered out of scope. Please contact AHEAD for a list of specific exclusions.

    AHEAD will rely on certain Assumptions in the performance of this Service. Please contact AHEAD for a list of these assumptions.
