New courses and updates from AWS Training and Certification in July 2022

Editor’s note: In July, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Training and Certification released new courses and offerings for cloud learners of all backgrounds, AWS customers, and AWS Partners. New digital courses focus on AWS Cloud Adoption Framework 3.0, cost optimization and operations, storage with Amazon Snow Family, Amazon FSx, and developing with Amazon EC2. Additionally, we have the AWS Partner course on Sales Accreditation (Business).

Cloud framework: Learn AWS Cloud Adoption Framework 3.0

Introduction to the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF) is a 60-minute fundamental-level, digital course designed for customers and Partners who are involved in digital transformation, modernizing existing workloads, and implementing new cloud-native solutions – such as chief executive officers, chief financial officers, chief operations officers, chief information officers, and chief technology officers. During this course, individuals will learn about the AWS Cloud Adoption Framework 3.0 structure and how it can guide successful cloud transformation. Finance: Learn about cost optimization and operations within AWS

Optimizing your FinOps Strategy with AWS is a 50-minute fundamental-level, digital course designed for anyone with an interest in learning more about the intersection of cost optimization and operations within AWS, such as financial analysts. The course helps learners better understand both the “how” of managing costs (operational considerations) and the “why” (financial insights with tracking and analyzing spend), framing various cloud topics in the context of both finance and operational considerations. Storage: Learn how to optimize your workload to the right AWS Snow option

For technical learners interested in gaining a better understanding of when and why to use a particular AWS Snow Family device, we have released three new digital courses: AWS Snowcone Primer (fundamental-level course), AWS Snowball Edge Primer (intermediate-level course), and AWS Snowball Edge Logistics and Planning (intermediate-level course). These courses teach learners how to configure for a specific storage migration or remote compute use case, and become familiar with all the features of the device. You’ll also learn what settings and properties influence decision making, and how to map your implementation’s size or workload performance needs to the right Snow option. Participants will learn how easy it is to create and deploy Amazon FSx for OpenZFS file systems. The course also covers pricing, management, and monitoring options available with Amazon FSx for OpenZFS. The course includes knowledge checks with detailed feedback within each module. Today, we’re announcing the launch of two new digital courses: Moving to the Cloud with Amazon FSx and Running High Performance Applications with Amazon FSx. These intermediate and advanced level courses, intended for a technical audience, examine why and when to choose a particular type of Amazon FSx file system for a given set of storage migration, storage extension, performance, or application requirements. Course for AWS Partners on Sales Accreditation (Business)

AWS Partner Sales Accredited BadgeDesigned for AWS Partner sales roles, AWS Partner: Sales Accreditation (Business) teaches the business value of cloud, how to overcome common customer objections, and how-to co-sell with AWS. Plus, learners can earn the new AWS Sales Accreditation and associated digital badge to demonstrate their knowledge to their employer, customers, prospects, and peers.
