Calillona Browser for Amazon
TrufSoft has released version 2.0 of Calillona, an application that allows users of Mac OS X to surf Amazon’s catalog from within a desktop application.
We’ll let the press release speak for itself:
Based on their previous Web services experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), TrufSoft initially developed a plugin for Apple’s Sherlock. Calillona 1.x was using the power of AWS, but was restricted in its usage to Sherlock. With Amazon introducing their fourth generation of Web services (AWS 4.0), TrufSoft.com decided to extend the power of Calillona to a full and mature desktop application.
With Calillona and a Mac running OS 10.3, you can now experience a new way of surfing Amazon’s catalog. Calillona 2.0 supports the catalogs from Amazon USA, Amazon United Kingdom, and Amazon Germany. While browsing Amazon’s catalog you can save any product to a configurable shopping cart system. Each shopping cart is saved on your computer, and not on any online server. Checking out with Calillona is as simple as clicking on a button. In the shopping cart view, the checkout button will automatically transfer your list of products to Amazon server, and in a few seconds your purchase can be completed.
The application is available free of charge, and can be downloaded here.
