To help APN Partners learn about running Microsoft workloads on AWS, we have designed a new series of Microsoft-focused virtual events. Each event consists of presentations and hands-on labs, executed in a small group setting of up to 15 attendees per session, and a maximum length of three hours. The sessions will enable you to build high-quality solutions, implement AWS best practices, and help customers run Microsoft workloads on the AWS.

The annual Global Partner Summit was held Dec. 2-6 at AWS re:Invent 2019, and we are excited to introduce the APN’s new program launches and key initiatives for 2020. Global Partner Summit helps APN Partners to leverage AWS technologies and learn how the APN program can help companies build, market, and sell their AWS-based offerings. This post will showcase the new APN programs that partners can take advantage of today, including AWS Service Ready and the APN Global Startup Program.

AWS Immersion Day workshops are day-long, in-person workshop that AWS Solutions Architects created to help customers learn how to best leverage the AWS platform to unlock business potential and meet key objectives. With APN Immersion Days, we are providing APN Partners with a repeatable model, reusable content, and automated tools that will help APN Partners deliver successful technical workshops for their customers.

We are thrilled to be in Las Vegas for AWS re:Invent 2019 and our annual Global Partner Summit, meeting and connecting with APN Partners from around the world. This year’s conference provides APN Partners with great opportunities to connect, collaborate, and discover. APN Partners will be busy all week attending breakout sessions, chalk talks, and hands-on trainings to learn how the APN program can help their business build, market, and sell their AWS-based offerings.

Companies all across the world and in virtually every industry need cloud expertise to help them transform their business. This is where the skill, expertise, and knowledge of APN Partners makes a difference for customers. AWS Training and Certification offers free training for APN Partners, as well as AWS Certification resources designed to specifically help partners build crucial skills while achieving and maintaining APN Partner tier status.

AWS Training and Certification now offers the chance to take the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner exam at your home or office 24/7. The exam can be delivered online and supervised—or proctored—through a webcam. Candidates will need a quiet, private location with a reliable internet connection and only one person to a room at a time. Online proctored exams are currently available in English only. Candidates may choose online proctoring where exams are currently available, except for China, South Korea, and Japan.

We are excited to announce the launch of AWS re/Start in the U.S. after a two-year pilot in the United Kingdom. AWS re/Start is a full-time, classroom-based skills development and training program designed to prepare individuals to launch new careers in cloud computing. Cohorts of 25 students in Atlanta, Dallas, and Miami are finishing up their course of study and will be ready for employment before the end of August 2019.
