With 30+ new features launched in 2018 for AWS Marketplace, we wanted to highlight the top ones for you, including AWS Marketplace for Machine Learning and Containers, Consulting Partner Private Offers, Enterprise Contract for AWS Marketplace, Flexible Payment Scheduler, and more.

Flexible Payment Scheduler enhances Seller Private Offers by enabling software sellers to offer custom payment schedules to customers in AWS Marketplace. After negotiating the price and quantity with a customer, ISVs can now specify a custom schedule of payments, with up to 36 installments over three years. Flexible Payment Scheduler helps ISVs increase their sales velocity, sales volume, and transaction size by making it easier for their customers to purchase software.

Over the last two years, AWS has launched SaaS Subscriptions and SaaS Contracts for AWS Marketplace, two procurement capabilities that enable you to offer SaaS solutions directly to AWS Customers. We’re excited to announce an enhancement to SaaS Contracts that allows your customers to pay-as-they-go if they need additional services above the original contract. Customers can now combine the discounts from committed usage and the flexibility of pay-as-you-go pricing.

Many customers prefer to purchase software solutions through Consulting Partners, benefiting from their knowledge of the customer’s business, localized support, and expertise. This new feature enables Consulting Partners to work with more than 1,400 ISVs and expand the ways customers can purchase software in AWS Marketplace. Consulting Partners can now work with customers from the start of their procurement process all the way to purchase.

Manifold Technology has built a highly scalable, cost-effective, and easy-to-integrate blockchain platform that’s architected to deploy on AWS. Manifold lets you manage blockchains for any application, from branded currencies and settlement, to asset management and intelligent automation. The platform uses AWS Lambda to deliver a distributed ledger capability with blockchain auditability and the ability to detect possible tampering. Manifold is an APN Standard Technology Partner.

AWS Marketplace released more than a dozen major features in 2017, as well as many other enhancements and updates. These releases make it easier for AWS customers to discover and procure software, and for ISVs to sell their products on AWS Marketplace, which currently offers more than 4,200 software listings from nearly 1,300 ISVs spanning 35 categories. AWS Partner Cinegy has long been an advocate of IP-based video workflows and understands that maintaining visual quality whilst reducing bandwidth consumption is an ongoing challenge with the increasing data requirements of formats such as Ultra High Definition (UHD). In this post, Cinegy demonstrates how to deploy a fully-functional playout engine using Amazon EC2 resources and the Cinegy Amazon Machine Image (AMI) to deliver a UHD TV channel with graphics.
