AWS is expanding its Partner Transformation Program (PTP) with a suite of Targeted Transformation Modules (TTMs) to help AWS Partners accelerate their cloud journey through tailored guidance and support. These new TTMs, available now, provide topic-specific workshops designed to complement standard PTP engagement. Developed in collaboration with our partners, the two TTMs currently available to partners are the Cloud Enablement Engine (CEE) and the CFO Cloud Conversations (CCC).

Deloitte’s Smart Factory Believers program was established as The Smart Factory @ Wichita’s purpose mission and is a collaborative initiative that brings together world-leading organizations, including AWS, Elenco Electronics, the National Math and Science Initiative (NMSI), and others, to help foster new learning opportunities for middle school-aged children in underserved communities. Today, Deloitte and AWS announced an expansion of the program to the District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS). Within the next three years, Smart Factory Believers aims to impact more than 1,600 students in the DC metro area.

AWS announced the 2023 cohort of the Halcyon Climate Resilience in Latin America and the Caribbean Fellowship. AWS is sponsoring this fellowship with Halcyon, a Washington, DC-based nonprofit supporting impact-driven startups, to accelerate solutions that address the compounding effects of climate change. The focus of this fellowship is to help 10 innovative startups address the intersection of climate change and social determinants of health to provide more equitable health and life outcomes.

AWS announced the launch of a new program, and the expansion of a second, to increase access to science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) educational programs and resources across Virginia and beyond. These are the most recent AWS community impact efforts that aim to increase access to tech tools and training while reducing barriers to students who are underrepresented and underserved.

AWS announced Training Pathways for Public Health. These pathways are designed for public health professionals to learn more about the cloud and the AWS services that can help them on their modernization journey. Digital and cloud skills are in high demand in the public health community. To meet this need, public health agencies can upskill staff and develop a new generation of public health professionals who are equipped to work in a modern data architecture.

Performance Dashboard on AWS is an open source solution in the AWS Solutions Library designed by AWS experts to help organizations build, deploy, and maintain customizable dashboards to communicate the data-driven performance of public sector services. After this initial release, the Government Transformation Team (GTT) at AWS enlisted the help of the UK’s Digital Accessibility Centre (DAC), LevelAccess, and an internal AWS accessibility team to conduct accessibility audits to help our product team identify possible accessibility opportunities within the application.

AWS announced a new nationwide cooperative contract for AWS services, including AWS Marketplace, through OMNIA Partners. The Software Marketplace and Related Cloud Services cooperative contract is available to OMNIA Partners participating agencies, including state and local government agencies, public and private K12 school districts, and higher education organizations.

Public sector regulatory agencies are at an inflection point as digital assets have emerged in the private sector in the form of cryptocurrencies, stablecoins, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs). To inform this process, AWS has collaborated with industry analyst firm, Constellation Research, to write a new research report available to the public. “The CIO Imperative for Digital Assets in the Public Sector” presents an exploration of the requisite topics to get CIOs and their teams up-to-speed and ready for this journey.
