Import data from Google Cloud Platform BigQuery for no-code machine learning with Amazon SageMaker Canvas

This post presents an architectural approach to extract data from different cloud environments, such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP) BigQuery, without the need for data movement. This minimizes the complexity and overhead associated with moving data between cloud environments, enabling organizations to access and utilize their disparate data assets for ML projects. We highlight the process of using Amazon Athena Federated Query to extract data from GCP BigQuery, using Amazon SageMaker Data Wrangler to perform data preparation, and then using the prepared data to build ML models within Amazon SageMaker Canvas, a no-code ML interface.

Enhance your Amazon Redshift cloud data warehouse with easier, simpler, and faster machine learning using Amazon SageMaker Canvas

Enhance your Amazon Redshift cloud data warehouse with easier, simpler, and faster machine learning using Amazon SageMaker Canvas

In this post, we dive into a business use case for a banking institution. We will show you how a financial or business analyst at a bank can easily predict if a customer’s loan will be fully paid, charged off, or current using a machine learning model that is best for the business problem at hand.

Govern generative AI in the enterprise with Amazon SageMaker Canvas

Govern generative AI in the enterprise with Amazon SageMaker Canvas

In this post, we analyze strategies for governing access to Amazon Bedrock and SageMaker JumpStart models from within SageMaker Canvas using AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) policies. You’ll learn how to create granular permissions to control the invocation of ready-to-use Amazon Bedrock models and prevent the provisioning of SageMaker endpoints with specified SageMaker JumpStart models.

Unlock the power of data governance and no-code machine learning with Amazon SageMaker Canvas and Amazon DataZone

Amazon DataZone is a data management service that makes it quick and convenient to catalog, discover, share, and govern data stored in AWS, on-premises, and third-party sources. Amazon DataZone allows you to create and manage data zones, which are virtual data lakes that store and process your data, without the need for extensive coding or […]

Migrate Amazon SageMaker Data Wrangler flows to Amazon SageMaker Canvas for faster data preparation

This post demonstrates how you can bring your existing SageMaker Data Wrangler flows—the instructions created when building data transformations—from SageMaker Studio Classic to SageMaker Canvas. We provide an example of moving files from SageMaker Studio Classic to Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) as an intermediate step before importing them into SageMaker Canvas.

Perform generative AI-powered data prep and no-code ML over any size of data using Amazon SageMaker Canvas

Amazon SageMaker Canvas now empowers enterprises to harness the full potential of their data by enabling support of petabyte-scale datasets. Starting today, you can interactively prepare large datasets, create end-to-end data flows, and invoke automated machine learning (AutoML) experiments on petabytes of data—a substantial leap from the previous 5 GB limit. With over 50 connectors, […]

Harness the power of AI and ML using Splunk and Amazon SageMaker Canvas

For organizations looking beyond the use of out-of-the-box Splunk AI/ML features, this post explores how Amazon SageMaker Canvas, a no-code ML development service, can be used in conjunction with data collected in Splunk to drive actionable insights. We also demonstrate how to use the generative AI capabilities of SageMaker Canvas to speed up your data exploration and help you build better ML models.

Transition your Amazon Forecast usage to Amazon SageMaker Canvas

After careful consideration, we have made the decision to close new customer access to Amazon Forecast, effective July 29, 2024. Amazon Forecast existing customers can continue to use the service as normal. AWS continues to invest in security, availability, and performance improvements for Amazon Forecast, but we do not plan to introduce new features. Amazon […]

Use weather data to improve forecasts with Amazon SageMaker Canvas

Photo by Zbynek Burival on Unsplash Time series forecasting is a specific machine learning (ML) discipline that enables organizations to make informed planning decisions. The main idea is to supply historic data to an ML algorithm that can identify patterns from the past and then use those patterns to estimate likely values about unseen periods […]
