How to update your Container products in AWS Marketplace using self-service

AWS Marketplace now enables sellers, Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), and Consulting Partners (CPs) to self-service updates to your container-based product listings. With this new feature, you will be Consistent Authorization Experience (CAE) compliant. You can now update your container products listed on AWS Marketplace independently, without needing assistance from internal AWS Marketplace operations teams. This streamlines the work for sellers, ISVs, and CPs, as well as helping to reduce time to market.

In this post, I show how to use the self-service feature to update the different features of your container-based product listings.

Prerequisites

The following prerequisites are required to follow along with this post:

To update your AWS Marketplace container-based products, do the following:

  1. Open the AWS Marketplace Management Portal and sign in to your seller account.
  2. Go to the Server products page and select the container product that you want to modify.
  3. From the Request changes dropdown, choose an option depending on the type of change you want to perform. For more information on each option, refer to these links:
    a) Update allowlist
    b) Add pricing dimensions,under Update pricing dimensions
    c) Update dimension information, under Update pricing dimensions
    d) Update availability by country, under Update public offer
    e) Update refund policy,under Update public offer
    f) Update EULA, under Update public offer
    g) Update pricing terms, under Update public offer
  4. Verify that the Requests tab shows the Request status as Under review. When the request completes, the status updates to Succeeded or Failed.
