Rapidly Build and Scale Horizon 7 Desktops and Applications with VMware Cloud on AWS
We are excited to announce the Horizon 7 virtual desktop and application platform is now supported on VMware Cloud on AWS. Architecturally, the Horizon 7 platform is the same on-premises as it is on VMware Cloud on AWS, so the deployment and management experience stays consistent across environments. Customers no longer have to purchase new hardware to launch or scale Horizon 7, and instead have the option of pay-as-you-go by leveraging VMware Cloud on AWS hourly billing.
New APN How-To Guides for Architecture Diagrams, Case Studies, Building Microsites
We are excited to share three new how-to guides featuring best practices for creating and uploading architecture diagrams, case studies and customer references, and microsites. Each guide provides clear benefits to Partners for building these assets and explains why the APN asks for them in applications for AWS Service Delivery, AWS Competency, and AWS Managed Service Provider (MSP) Programs. The how-to guides also detail how the APN uses Partner-submitted documentation and gives a few examples approved by the APN.
AWS Pre-Announces the Industrial Software Competency Program
At Hannover Messe 2018, the world’s largest trade show for industrial technology, we announced the AWS Industrial Software Competency Program will launch later in 2018 and help customers find highly qualified APN Partners to effectively solve their business challenges. Hannover Messe features insights from industrial thought leaders, as well as AWS product announcements in the Industrial IoT and Machine Learning spaces.
Customer Satisfaction Data is Now Available for APN Partners
To help businesses gather feedback and understand the impacts they’ve had on AWS customers, we launched a “Rate this Partner” button in the AWS Partner Solutions Finder last year. The APN Customer Satisfaction program (CSAT) provides Partners with meaningful data that you can use to better understand your customers. Ask your APN representative if you have customer reviews already, and note that to unlock APN CSAT data you must have received at least 10 Customer Reviews.
New APN Programs Available for AWS for Windows Partners
For APN Partners helping customers migrate, manage, or deploy Microsoft Workloads to AWS, we are introducing an Application Modernization category within the AWS Microsoft Workloads Competency, as well as the Amazon EC2 for Windows Service Delivery designation. Through our Microsoft Workloads Partners’ investment in developing a Windows on AWS practice, we know customers will have an exceptional experience and the most efficient deployment running Windows applications on AWS.
Introducing the AWS Solution Provider Program for APN Consulting Partners
The new AWS Solution Provider Program is designed for APN Consulting Partners to resell authorized services to end customers. Authorized Solution Providers benefit from a tiered discount structure that rewards APN Partners for their technical investments on AWS and their ability to bring in new business. This program enables Authorized Solution Providers to manage, service, support, and bill AWS accounts for end customers, and enables end customers to have their own terms with AWS.
New AWS Solution Space Launches with 10 Customer-Ready Solutions
AWS Solution Space allows AWS Competency Partners to showcase customer-ready solutions based on architectures validated by AWS. These are quick, cost effective, repeatable solutions meant to create new business leading to production workloads. Customers can also request AWS support for launching each solution. At launch, we are featuring 10 customer-ready solutions: 5 for Big Data, 3 for Machine Learning, one for Security, and one for End User Computing.
