Easy to use GIS tool with plenty of features.
What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to access and use from a variety of devices due to the online platform. I can also easily share my work and leverage other available resources. This also makes it very easy to get up and running. Install was quick and I could immediately start creating products.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't find there to be quite as many features as there are with a traditional ArcGIS server install. It also limits the ability to leverage on a LAN only environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using ArcGIS online for all of our GIS problems. From network analysis to find the best routes for visiting clients, to geocoding address and finding spatial patterns.

Great for Sharing Geoinformation with Clients
What do you like best about the product?
It is simple to use and has great templates. Integrates well with the desktop version of ArcGIS. Love that clients can easily interact with dashboards and see their information clearly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime can be difficult to adjust templates to exactly what you want. Wish there was more coding ability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have found that the online hosting of geoinformation and communicating with maps is much easier done over this kind of platform.
Convienent, but not the easiest to use

The ability to import layers from Google Earth

Data tends to get lost in translation when importing files

ArcMap online is a simplified version of Desktop ArcMap. Map is more interactive friendly for public.

AGOL allows me to transform data into easy to read maps and then to take those maps and create easy to use applications and dashboards that my clients and coworkers can use to quickly access and sort through information
What do you dislike about the product?
While I like the web app builder, I prefer the new version that they are building, but it's just not complete yet.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using AGOL to make the data that I have more accessible and understandable to the people who don't sort through it daily

Great software to create graphical overlays. Used extensively in our organization.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the software is slow to use and sometimes there is scaling issues with it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is used to create map overlays to realize the tax patterns

Nifty mapping software
What do you like best about the product?
ArcGIS Online is a cloud-based mapping and analysis software. It's great at analyzing map data, which you can import or export, and it offers its own Esri-curated content. ArcGIS is the industry standard and you won't find another product like it. The Online version is good for entry-level users.
What do you dislike about the product?
ArcGIS Online isn't as powerful as ArcGIS Pro. It's also not great at quickly updating its layers. For example: if I import data and run analysis on it, but want to change one entry in the data, I need to delete the layer, make the change in Excel, import the new data, and rerun the analysis. I also don't like how I can't change the style of preset Living Atlas layers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using ArcGIS to create heatmaps of potential areas of health inaccessibility. The software also allows me to analyze driving distance and driving time for a large dataset.

AGOL is easy to use, user friendly, reliable.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don’t like the credit usage and believe it would be better if specific pricing was available for what your particular use of AGOL is.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Publishing web maps/apps for field workers to use as a reference. Great tool to house data and create apps and maps for the office and field.

I like the functiality of the 10.7 and the speed.

There is not anything that I don't like.

We are helping the County of San Joaquin with GIS interactive maps for the public to gain valuable information about the county pertaining to road closure, survey information, any type of map document.

Converting files to zip files to upload. Limited layer size.
