Easy deployment at scale, best MDM experience out there
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of deployment and migration to Kandji from other MDMs or no MDM at all was the winner for us. The support team created a migration PKG for us that enrolled the user in the proper blueprint as well as walked the end user through the mobileconfig profile installation and prompts. Easiest tool onboarding I have ever gone through.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would love more granularity in the device filtering and search. The do update the device page pretty regularly though, so its possible the limitations I previsouly had are no longer an issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am able to do Zreo touch deployment and manage a large group of Macs with ease. I can set it and forget it and know that the Kandji agent is taking care of updates and keeping our Macs in compliance with our poolicy. The pre-built blueprints also make it a breeze to get up and running quickly.

Kandji is Great but Not Fully Small Business Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji has been a huge help to our small business, allowing us to streamline our onboarding process and perform light IT work without the need for an IT department. I appreciate how easy it is to set up the platform and how user-friendly the application is. The chat feature, customer service, and the ability to speak with a tech right away are all excellent. One of my favorite features is the ability to protect and lock devices when offboarding employees, ensuring that the devices are returned. This is particularly important for us as a national company that ships out equipment and relies on separate employees to return it. Knowing that if a device is not returned, it can't be used by anyone else, gives us peace of mind.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm frustrated that Kandji requires us to buy licenses in batches of 50. It would be more helpful if there were an option for 10 licenses for smaller organizations. Currently, with 58 employees, I'm left with 17 unused licenses, and Kandji is not cheap. Additionally, adding more licenses requires restarting the contract with no refunds for the remaining months, just a credit for the new contract. This feels like a ploy to lock us in if we experience growth.
Moreover, I'm disappointed that the licenses are not interchangeable for all Apple devices. Our company uses Macbooks, and our licenses are only for Macbooks. We want to start using iPads, but we would need to purchase different licenses to do so, despite having 17 unused licenses. We currently have 2 iPads that we are trialing that are unprotected because of this. This model may work for big corporations, but it's not ideal for small businesses like ours.

Kandji has been invaluable in helping us with onboarding by ensuring that every computer has all the necessary software. Since we don't have an IT department, it has also been helpful for us in that regard. Additionally, Kandji helps us with device security by allowing us to know which employee is using which device, lock devices when necessary, and even erase and reboot devices if an employee tries to lock us out.
he MDM That Makes Mac Management Effortless
What do you like best about the product?
As an IT support engineer, I spend a lot of time in MDMs. Kandji's interface is a breath of fresh air. It's clean, modern, and incredibly easy to navigate. I can quickly find the settings I need and deploy configurations without any fuss. Kandji's automation capabilities are a lifesaver. I can create custom workflows, scripts, and policies that handle routine tasks, freeing up my time to focus on more complex issues. This means faster onboarding, easier troubleshooting, and happier end-users.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Kandji offers excellent value for larger organizations, the pricing can be a bit steep for smaller teams with limited budgets.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Manually configuring new Macs and iOS devices used to be a time-consuming nightmare. Kandji's Zero-Touch Deployment and Auto Apps features automate the entire process. New devices arrive pre-configured with the necessary settings, apps, and security profiles, reducing onboarding time from hours to minutes. This saves me countless hours and ensures a consistent experience for our end-users.
Kandji is a simple MDM for Macs
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji has been a simple to use device manager. Compared to more complex device management options, Kandji was easy to set up and the UI was simple to navigate. Compared to tools like JAMF that require more active administration, Kandji was more of a "set it and it works" tool that allowed us to easily administer 300 endpoints with less than 2 employees. Their customer support has been great, often providing us pre-built scripts to solve problems fast. They are responsive and knowedgable about their product.
Recent enhancements to their configuration tooling (through Assignment Mapping) provides a powerful way to create condition-driven pathways for device configuration. Another great feature set is integrations, namely Okta and Drata. We are able to automatically monitor device compliance and use dynamic groups from our IdP that power condition-based configurations. Additionally, Device trust was a welcome addition to Kandji's capabilities last year.

What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting capability in Kandji is limited within the console. If you are handy with an API, you can pull out detailed information through that method.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed a device management tool that would help us meet basic endpoint management compliance, improve our end user's Mac experience and allow a lean team to manage endpoints for a rapidly evolving business. Kandji's ease of use and base feature set makes onboarding, device maintenance, support and offboarding of our global user base achieveable with a very small team.

Kandji has been a great help for our small IT Team. It has helped us save a lot of time by helping us easily manage the machines in our organization.
Some of the features we love:
- Easy to use UI
- Zero Touch Deployment
- Automatic Updates
- Customizing User Experience when they first open their laptops

It's been great to have a central up to date place with all of our laptops and being able to make sure everyone is in compliance with some of our security policies!

What do you dislike about the product?
Prism has been a great addition but I do think there are improvements that can be made to the reporting side of Kandji. It would be great if I could create certain visuals and have more customizability within the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has saved us time where we don't have to manually stage everyones laptop and install all the apps ourselves.
It has helped us with security since we can force the laptops to complete updates without us having to reach out to everyone individually. It also makes sure that they are not deleting important applications since it has application enforcements.

Easy and Efficient
What do you like best about the product?
So much easier to keep track of all devices and ensure everyone has the same software and apps. Also ability to lock the device when lost or stolen!
What do you dislike about the product?
Not being able to allow the employees to delete and reinstall an app if they are having issues without creating a rule specific to serial #
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Being able to easily set up all ipads quickly and efficiently.
Kandji makes MacOS and ios easy to manage in corp environment.
What do you like best about the product?
The enrollment process for the managed devices is straight forward and easy to push out.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing model for small to mid sized companies with mixed device devices Win/OSX can be challenageing to swallow if OSX device count low.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji is way better at deploying policy and app controls than Intune's built in feature set. Also from previous experience way more intuitive than competitors such as Jamf
Very user-friendly yet deep and powerful
What do you like best about the product?
For a smaller organisation like ours Kandji is perfect for making sure all of our devices can force the best security practices on our users without being an obstacle in getting work done. The 24/5 chat support is also extremely helpful and can help you get up and running very quickly and learn about the platform in a very short period of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only gripe is that on certain resolutions the webapp doesnt show me the info i want to see and that creating custom views for the device list is lost after a refresh.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji allows us to have a clear overview of our equipment, impose usage restrictions, and allow our machines to be dispatched with minimum IT support required. It allows us to not use and maintain complex spreadsheets for keeping track of who is using which device and to dispatch a device to a new employee with a couple of clicks.
It is also extremely beneficial that we can force our users to update their devices without the need to admin access to the device which was a big pain point for us as some machines were a few major updates behind the current verions of macos.

Intuitive software that just works!
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji is super intuitive to use and just works in the background allowing easy management of Apple based devices. I wish they would also expand to windows :) The UI is an easy to use interface meaning very rarely do we need to look up or check what's happened. Enforcements or items rarely fail to deploy, but if they do it's clear why and generally down to a device based issue. Support is easy to access via the web chat and always extremely helpful when in need.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much - there are of course minor issues that bump into but mostly there is a workaround or.a plan to develop/deploy such a feature. Other items such as increased integrations to tools (Microsoft for example) are becoming increasingly convenient.
