Quick to set up, easy to manage and a good fit for the smaller companies among us.
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji is simply... simple, really. Whereas other flavored Apple Management Platforms provide much more, Kandji prefers to keep it no-nonsense and keeps out the many bells and whistles that you don't necessarily need to make your fleet of Apple-based devices bend to your will.
What do you dislike about the product?
Being based in the Netherlands, it is a bit of a hassle to use an American-based product because of the timezone difference. Perhaps a UK-based support team will remediate that. Also acknowledging alerts and dismissing them entirely needs a bit more work. Yes, I am well aware of the things that may not work, let me acknowledge that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main problem I solved within my current company is the lack of device management and proper security enforcement. Getting the whole fleet signed on makes it easy to manage them. apply the necessary applications and settings via the Blueprints and if a device gets stolen, I can turn it into a (albeit, very expensive) paperweight. Users are also quickly onboard with the zero-touch deployment, leaving them only to enter the necessary information for their account and then let Kandji do the rest.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Íf Jamf hasn't been able to help you due to it's complexity and the amount of devices that need to be managed: Give Kandji a try.
MDM for all
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use UI that anyone can pick up on, easy to investigate and troubleshoot machines that are causing problems plus the support team is very good at helping with any queriers you may have.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of the reporting, which I'm sure is coming soon.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing our fleet of devices and being able to auto-enrol devices from purchase makes the whole on-boarding process smoother
Kandji - Winning for ease of use
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji could not have been easier to implement from time of purchase to go-live, we were launched within a week. Templates galore to help with multiple compliance levels.
Easy integrations such as DEP, Slack, and AD.
Sales, support, and cust. success have all been super responsive with every question.

What do you dislike about the product?
Not specific to Kandji, more of a general dislike, as this is with all MDM solutions out there; forcing zero-day OS software patches is complicated. Often end-users are confused by multiple requests to reboot. I've seen this with every Mac MDM.
Reporting needs to mature. I would like canned reports such as aging systems.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote management, inventory tracking, and software patching. All of these are covered and are benefits of MDM.
Kandji Review
What do you like best about the product?
Its easy to navigate such a powerful tool
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike not having more admin settings
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Kandji, we have a truly effective and simple to navigate device management solution which allows us to scale easily with the company's growth rate. One of the benefits is being able to navigate and configure what you need to deploy for devices quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you can afford this device management solution for your Apple-run small/growing business, I strongly recommend using Kandji. It's easy to learn, setup, and deploy.
Fastest & Easiest MDM Deployment Ever
What do you like best about the product?
I was able to onboard and get it deployed in less than an hour with clear instructions on setup/integrations.
Very simple straightforward interface while still providing all needed configuration/functionality.
Lots of builtin app configs (Library items) and lots of vendors have docs for custom apps too.

What do you dislike about the product?
In app reporting could be better, like on device info org wide. There is an API to access data though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote management in all remote world, no dedicated IT support personnel so we need to tools to allow us to support devices as efficiently as possible,
MDM Perfected
What do you like best about the product?
It's like Kandji collected all the negative JAMF feedback over the years and built the perfect solution. Simple and intuitive policy management without sacrificing essential management features and compliance standards. It's all of the horse-power I expect from an enterprise-ready MDM without the tedious interface and clumsy workflows we've come to tolerate over the years.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside of Kandji is the limited library size of pre-built apps available to end-users in Self Service. While it's easy to add custom apps, I hope they continue to increase their native library.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We migrated off of a JAMF instance previously managed by a third-party IT vendor. For many reasons, we wanted the security and control of those systems to be managed in-house but I was initially hesitant to take on a brand new JAMF instance as a one-man team. Once I demoed the product, I could instantly see how easy the transition would be. Kandji's JAMF migration agent sealed the deal and I haven't looked back since.
Sr. IT Manager
What do you like best about the product?
Put simply, Kandji makes device administration for Apple products easy. I also cannot say enough about how beautiful and intuitive the end-user experience is.
What do you dislike about the product?
Device blueprints can make it a challenge to scope custom configurations and apps to just a few end-users. Having a way to scope a custom configuration, setting, or app to just one system without creating a whole other blueprint would be extremely helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Device administration shouldn't require a degree or expensive training to be successful. Kandji eliminates the headaches of Apple management and does it in a gorgeous way to boot!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Switch immediately. Seriously.
Very powerful and quick to rollout
What do you like best about the product?
The low barrier of entry to get going and rollout powerful settings to the estate quickly. Having no previous Mac admin knowledge (besides being a Mac user), Kanji allowed me to roll out to 50+ devices in a matter of days with 7+ different Blueprints (templates) based on different roles in the business.
I was even able to set up a custom app to roll out the VPN software and configuration after a little bit of research.
I was even able to set up a custom app to roll out the VPN software and configuration after a little bit of research.
What do you dislike about the product?
My only issue at the moment with Kandji is that the Passport functionality doesn't support Google Workspace as an identity provider - however, my understanding is that this is a limitation on Google's side rather than Kandji.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji allowed me to have standard templates (blueprints) of setup based on department which meant we could ship Macs directly to new starters and their devices would be configured as they set up the mac for the first time. This reduced the unnecessary overhead of someone setting up a mac for a new starter and then shipping it out to them and also ensured various security requirements (like drive encryption) were enforced.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check if your directory service supports Passport for extra value (and fewer passwords for users)
I'm a total Kandji evangelizer!
What do you like best about the product?
My build time for my white glove computer builds is down 75% due to using Kandji. Huge ROI and support win!
What do you dislike about the product?
almost nothing. keep those auto-apps coming.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
quicker builds. application updates, remote wipes, unlocking users.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The product is easy to run considering the complexity of MDM platforms.
