Intuitive and forward thinking device management for modern Apple admins
What do you like best about the product?
Just rounding a year with Kandji as our MDM platform we've seen that the company is highly responsive to industry trends and customer needs.
This can range for day 1 support of Operating systems and popular app updates to simply being able to connect to a Kandji Engineer in moments should you have a question you can't solve through their slack channels or support articles.
It's user interface is practical, clean and easy to navigate and overall pretty great. Deployment of new profiles are easy through their blueprint platform and they have a lot of natively managed apps that make managing application continuity a breeze.
Implementation was a breeze by all considerations. We were paired with an engineer who worked with us to mirror and improve on some configurations from our previous MDM and I was able to move our 500+ device fleet over inside a few days. Naturally, YMMV.
We've also found plenty of useful integrations within our IDP and set up some really straightforward native security features to increase posture without sacrificing our end user experience.
I work in Kandji daily and can say that it is much preferred to other MDMs i've used in the past at our scale.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only major gripes I have with the platform are in it's search features, lack of smart groups and some reporting limitations.
Other than this, not much. The company is quite responsive to it's user community and keeps a pretty transparent roadmap of features and change progress.

Targeted, focused, and great at what it does
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji has an excellent user interface that makes it very simple to use even for a beginner.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of aggregated reporting is probably my biggest gripe with Kandji. I can get details from individual devices, but I'd have to build my own reporting structure using the API if I wanted to aggregate data beyond the basics in a meaningful way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji helps us to secure and manage a couple hundred Mac and iOS endpoints with ease.
Great Product, Great Support, Great Staff, all around amazing!
What do you like best about the product?
I've used other MDM/EMM platforms in the past, and they have all been so complicated, and time consuming. Kandji is extremly easy to use, but can also do everything you need an MDM/EMM to do!
The integration with our Apple Business account also ensure that as soon as new devices are delivered to my users that Kandji gets installed automatically. If for some reason I need to have a user pick up a new device from the apple store, getting kandji installed on their device is as simple as sending them a link.
I've only had to talk with support a couple of times, but when I have they are super responsive, knowledgeable and very friendly.

What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, I have been super happy with all aspects of Kandji.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji allows me to keep software and OS up to date, push specific applications to specific user groups, lock and erase lost/stolen devices, and keep our devices safe with Kandji's EDR.
Kandji Review
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji has helped us get a handle on equipment inventory, updates, and proactive management of the devices. Kandji support is very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no downsides of using Kandji..
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Maintaining inventory, software levels, and remote wipe / locking ability.
Kandji has enabled us to be agile as we have grown.
What do you like best about the product?
Very easily manage fleets of machines with blueprints and having the flexibility to make changes on the fly. Interface is straightforward and you can easily see the impact of changes and the details on individual settings
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of reporting and remote assistance to endpoint machines. Fixing these two items would make it the full experience
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing a fleet of remote first workers and maintaining security and machine deployment in a remote encironment
Great Experience!
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly and the UI is great. I love how basic they've made things
What do you dislike about the product?
Kandji doesn't do a great job when it comes to off boarding. I ran into a lot of unforseen issues that I wasn't made aware of until the time came. For example, users who have "Activation Lock" turned on cannot be removed unless the user manually does it. This caused a massive headache when I received ex employee devices. The devices were locked and I could not access. A process needs to be put into place that notifies admins of this
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Nothing I can think of currently
Intuitive and customizable automation
What do you like best about the product?
I love the simplicity and ease of use. Policies are fully customizable and fit our needs. Automation between Apple business manager is a game changer. App deployment and automated compliance is extremely important to us and Kandji makes it incredibly easy for us.
What do you dislike about the product?
Kandji is an exceptional MDM and I have no complaints!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji makes our device management significantly easier. The time we save on historically manual tasks, enhanced security, maintaining consistency across our devices are all invaluable benefits to us.
Outstanding Apple MDM at an excellent price
What do you like best about the product?
Design and configuration of blueprints, app pushes and updates is simple, quick and reliable. Changes are near instant, and new features are added often
What do you dislike about the product?
Our biggest compliant is the current lack of integration with Azure conditional access compliance policies
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
MacOs device management, Kandji has streamlined the process to manage our devices and removed many headaches and pain points for a heavily Microsoft company.
Fantastic MDM
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and Saas Native. You can tell that it was built from the ground up for Cloud/SaaS users and does not have any of the bloat =ware and just works. Also, their support team is second to none and their account team Kaylee is AMAZING!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing really, it is fantastic! I really have no complaints.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Device management, app deployment, off-boarding users. Security.
Simple, straightforward Apple device management
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji simplifies complex aspects of MDM solutions. While it still gives you the ability to go deep and cover what you need to do, it provides great abstractions out fo the box that make an IT admistrators job easy. They have great customer support both in the product and in the MacAdmins slack channel. Deployment is fairly simple, for new apps Apple business integration make it easy, and manual enrollment with a PIN code is simple enough.
What do you dislike about the product?
Managing updates across devices is difficult. Auto-apps make it easier (although are still disruptive to end users), but for MacOS upgrades the Managed OS upgrade features frequently break and auto-quit all apps despite the update not fully loading, causing disruptions for users who lose all their work every hour or so.
Pricing is bundled in units of 50 and it can be frustrating managing that and going through renewals often as we grow.
Features like Passport are bundled in to every plan and while they might be valuable we've ran into issues with them that are blocking for broader deployment. Support was helpful but ultimately not able to resolve and with their current bundles it can feel frustrating being locked into pricing that used to be a la carte.
