What do you dislike about the product?
Kandji has made some improvements in its reporting with its implementation of "Prism," which fills a significant gap they had.
I'd also like to see the ability to create some improved alerting based on activity.

Kandji: An Easy to Use Apple MDM
What do you like best about the product?
We moved from JAMF to Kandji mainly because of ease of use. While JAMF is a powerful tool, there was a learning curve that our team was not equipped to spend resources on. After starting Kandji, we found that it was easy to deploy into our environment. Integration was quick and easy. Once it was implemented, it was almost a set it and forget it system. Some key things that Kandji provided are:
1. Auto Apps - Kandji has a comprehensive list of popular applications that are easily added to blueprints. More are added regularly.
2. Easy cust app deployment - If your application is not listed in Auto Apps, it is easy to setup a script to install it
3. Customer Support - Their customer support is awesome. We can easily reach support through the portal and we get help in a few minutes.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes installations can be slow when being run through Kandji. It isn't a big deal if your imaging a computer ahead of time, but in crunch time, it does take a bit longer than I'd like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kandji is helping us with our device and patch management. It has cut down man hours significantly without having to have one of our team spend hours understanding documentation.

Kandji has a nice set of ready-to-use automations that have saved us a lot of time. These automations help with tasks like setting up apps, applying security measures, and ensuring our devices meet company rules.
The Kandji support team is very helpful and quick to respond whenever we need help or have questions.

Personalized and Apple Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the support teams and technical staff that is available to help with business needs. They are also well-training for environments like ours which strictly uses Apple MacOS devices. This has been a relief in finding a company that would fit our needs as we are a niche business in this market. It is also quite easy to understand their platform and their functions are intuitive for most any user.
What do you dislike about the product?
There could be some additional support within their products which would allow for certain functions such as remote capabilities, or more catagorized device groups.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Overseeing and managing devices while providing information on each devices for troubleshooting purposes. Additionally, being able to push out updates from Apple has also been an issue that has been solved through using the Kandji platform.
I really love and recommend Kanji

Kandji - MDM done right!
What do you like best about the product?
Kandji is hands down one of the best customer service teams I've ever worked with. Their staff are friendly, their technicians are very knowledgable on all things iOS/OSX, and the portal is one of the easier ones I deal with on a regular basis. The original rollout of Kandji was a lot easier than I anticipated, and several technicians helped answer some of my (rather stupid) questions regarding Apple Business Manager and how to install profiles. Since then, I've gotten better with implementation and the new features that are being added have really helped. All in all, it's a great platform and even though we have a small fleet of Apple devices, it makes managing them a whole lot easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
I've notcied that sometimes devices just... lose their connection to the MDM server and refuse to check back in, leading to me reformatting and re-adding them. It seems to happen if a device is dormant for a while, but so far I've yet to solve it. Not a huge deal, just a bit of a time-waste.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are a primary Windows environment using AD/Entra for device management. We have a small fleet of Macs and iPads for our marketing team, and managing them was traditionally a nightmare until Kandji came along. AD only helps with user accounts, but Windows cannot push policy options to Macs. Using Kandji, we can protect the devices and our users by ensuring that the applications we need are installed without them having to do anything, and that all company policies are applied correctly.
Easy to use but still capable of doing everything I need
What do you like best about the product?
- Easy to use interface
- No servers to manage
- Responsive support team
- Constantly updating with new features and auto apps
- Passport integrates well with Entra ID

What do you dislike about the product?
- Slightly less built in configuration options than JAMF
- Can't compare blueprints making it hard to determine what is different between two similar blueprints
- Can't nest blueprints

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing, configuring, zero-touch provisioning Macbooks
Super Intuitive
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use is the most welcoming part of the product. Most features are easily found and configured with straight forward titles.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing off the top of my head without really nitpicking.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing the Apple Devices in our environment, replacing Jamf. It has been a great help in keeping our devices up to date and Passport keeps user passwords in sync
Effortless Device Management
What do you like best about the product?
The aspects of Kandji our team most appreciates is the automation capabilities of Kandji and "set-it-and-forget-it" functionality that allows our team to be mostly hands off. Automation has signficantly reduced the work required to maintain and manage our fleet and we're able to manage all of our Macbooks, iPads, iPhones, and Mac Minis with a simple and intuitive interfact. Prior to Kandji we were using Jamf, and Kandi requires considerably less babysitting and daily oversight - which is a huge time-saver for a small IT team like ours. The team at Kandji have also always been extremely great and pleasant to work with and we have enjoyed working with them!
What do you dislike about the product?
Kandji's search and reporting functionality can feel somewhat basic compared to other products. It's functional and the roadmap for Kandji seems promising in that they are looking to address reporting/search concerns, but at the moment we do struggle to get detailed reports about our fleet that could be beneficial when trying to do some high-level analysis.
Additionally, while it may seem obvious, the inability to integrate and manage Windows devices within the same platform means IT teams must rely on separate solutions for their non-Apple technology, complicating device management workflows and increasing costs.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We switched to Kandji due to issues with Jamf failing to scale with our growing needs and requiring IT resources dedicated to managing the Jamf infrastructure. Kandji came along with automation capabilities that signficantly reduced the manual effort required to deploy devices. In addition to requiring less people, Kandji itself is extremely intuitive and user-friendly and we've found it much easier for new team members to pick up and learn the system with a minimal learning curve.
