  • October 14, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We can choose many cloud storage, no need to stick with any specific provider.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not good to add bucket in b2 cloud, there are some work around but little bit buggy.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main reason is very light software which can do anything like image backup, cloud backup and storage backup.

Bring Your Own Cloud Made Simple *Unless you are using it in Docker*

  • October 11, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's quite intuitive to go from installing the application (or a Docker container of it) to completing a backup.
You get a 14 day trial without any other limitations to make sure it works.
It is FAST (unlike Duplicati), and low memory usage (unlike CrashPlan).
Multiple schedules for different backup sets.
What do you dislike about the product?
Docker container version of it has some pitfalls -- so if you are trying to use it in a container, DON'T -- they will not support it.
It's not free... but it's only so good because it's not free.
It's not open source.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backing up my business and personal data (about 1TB+) was a cinch (to B2 and S3). I have gone through several other backup clients before choosing this.
I will save money and add more reliability on rolling my own cloud backup vs. relying on a third party backup service.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just try it before you buy it!

Great solution for backup

  • October 10, 2019
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
We've been testing this software for backup for the past month. So far we love the ability to backup to Amazon S3
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, we haven't found anything we don't like.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've used several backup solutions that work out well but then they make a change and backups quit and we can't get any support and we're trapped. This way, we aren't trapped with our backups. We know they are on our own account at S3.

Seems To Be Working As Expected

  • October 05, 2019

What do you like best about the product?
Cloudberry Backup does what it says, send my local files to cloud storage (Wasabi, S3, etc).
What do you dislike about the product?
I had to figure out why it wasn't connecting to my Wasabi account initially, and it's because there are only 3 regions available. Although I was in us-east2, it required us-east1.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating backup copies of my archives on cloud storage.

What do you like best about the product?
I use this software at home and at work. it is very easy to use and configure. it also has any of the advance features you can hope for at a reasonable price.
What do you dislike about the product?
the free version for desktop has a size limit so ill need to buy a copy for personal home use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
i can easily and remotely manage backup for multiple users. sense my staff primarily use laptops this saves me the trouble of tracking them down.

Change my actual R1Backup to CloudBerry + BackBlaze solution

  • September 24, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I'm using CloudBerry + BackBlaze this week and I'm really impressed. I installed on a Linux Dedicated server, CentOS6 with WHM. I am using the web interface to manage everything. I also installed the Windows version on my computer to access BaclBlaze Buckets and do local restores. I am really satisfied. I want to stop using R1 Backup and use this CloudBerry + BackBlaze combination.
What do you dislike about the product?
A single feature for selecting the file version during the restore process is not available in the web interface.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Change my actual R1Backup to CloudBerry + BackBlaze solution
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly recommend, great platform for incremental server backup.

Cloudberry has a clean interface with many choices for bring your own cloud storage

  • September 21, 2019

What do you like best about the product?
Installation and configuration is pretty simple. Has the most supported options I have seen for tying it into whatever cloud storage option you might want to use. File based backups run fast and reliably. Development team responds to issues and updates with expected time to correct as they come up which is nice to see. Gradnfather-Father-Son (GFS) backups for data retention are on the horizon and will influence our further adoption for client backups. MSP re-branding is easy and the portal works well for monitoring backups across client servers.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have had good luck with file based backups performing as expected. We have had some issues with image based backups taking longer than expected. Something about the backup engine or block tracking seems to take much longer for incremental images versus other products used and tested in the past.
MSP360 doesn't have a solid grasp of what the MSP model is. Historically they have pushed everyone to purchase 1 year licenses with little flexibility in adding licenses during that time period leading to staggered expiration dates. After being pressured for many MSPs they then came out with monthly licenses at a substantial price increase. Their pricing tiers still do not allow for easy increase / decrease of licenses and commitments as needs change. They really need to review how other companies are handling this and completely change how they handle MSP licensing to be competitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Offsite file based client backups for client servers

    Design

Seems to work well and has good cloud support but has broken help links and weird error messages.

  • September 13, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Vast array of cloud provider support
Seems simple enough to use easily
What do you dislike about the product?
I immediately had weird errors that support says in "normal"
Also the only two help links I pressed in the program went to broken 404 links
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Backup to cloud
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Seems to work but has some weird gui errors and broken links

    Writing and Editing

Powerful and flexible too for configuring and managing online backups.

  • September 04, 2019
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The vast arrange of storage providers that it supports and the flexibility of options for configuring your backups to work as desired.
I needed a way to backup my files to my 1gb Onedrive account without the constraints of the limited, slow, and buggy Onedrive desktop uploader app. I like the ability to have activity updates pushed to my favorite notification client (pushover) so i can monitor things without having to query my PCall the time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I found the range of options daunting at first. Fortunately the online help, plus built in guide and wizards really helpful
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloudberry provided a way for me to easily configure exactly the folders i wanted to backup, when i wanted to perform the backups (at night) and provide additional important features such as ransomware protection.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give the free Pro trial ago to easily test out all the features and supported storage providers
