Great application for gathering and organizing data with the ability to connect data to dashboards.
What do you like best about the product?
Pipelines are the best part given the available channels to connect to; very knowledgeable staff to help with business needs. More comprehensive than competitor
What do you dislike about the product?
Jinja is difficult to learn and seems like it is needed to build applications. Pipelines can crash sometimes. Make it easier to select QB table fields in pipelines.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Acting as our management information to store and view data while also allowing us to connect data to SQL tables and Tableau dashboards. Created efficiencies through automation.
It's a great platform for creating custom programs without having to be an IT expert.
What do you like best about the product?
I can create exactly what I want, on my own, and I'm not an IT expert or programmer. It's fairly straightforward how to build fields, tables, etc. I can create reports easily and move things around to get a nice looking layout. I can add defaults and required fields to help my users get information entered appropriately and efficiently. If they need something or want something a little different, then I'm usually able to make changes on the fly to help improve their user experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
Their new Pipelines system for automations is very capable, but does require a bit more IT knowedge to figure out. I also would like a better way to be able to integrate email into the system and to have more functionality in integrating to some third party platforms like MailChimp and Google Docs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used QuickBase as a CRM for our sales, customer service and tech support. It helps our sales team keep track of prospects with a quote system; it helps our tech support keep track of equipment sent in for repair or tech support calls. Our marketing uses it to keep track of events, tasks to be completed and costs. It's of great benefit to us as a small business to customize the platform to our particular sales cycle needs, etc., without requiring IT consultants to do it.
Love using Quickbase
What do you like best about the product?
Cloud database - in cloud, so we don't need to load local software. Updated regularly. Easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
More designed for screen reporting, than printing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Tracking production process & keeping things on-time. Able to zero in on waste problems.
User friendly with no coding required
What do you like best about the product?
I find QB easy to use, can build customized reports with a few clicks, and it's really helped track several business processes, documents, testing progress, etc in my context.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'm not a huge fan of the new style and often toggle to the classic style with the report filters/etc. on the left. Just a personal preference thing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quickbase allows for seeing timestamp history, who edited things, who completed tasks, and updating statuses in a way that would be much more painful via Excel...all while allowing for notifications, reminder emails, etc. to be built in conjunction with those activities.
Quickbase helps me keep track of my projects
What do you like best about the product?
I like the look of Quickbase and the ability to adjust fields easily. You don't have to know coding to change field functions once it's been set up. I like how it's easy to see where every job is in the process.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that it doesn't integrate into CRM databases and that it's very expensive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need to see at a glance what stage is filling up with projects so I know how to delegate or prepare to handle the influx of stage changes. We also need to track the profit margin for each stage of the job and quickbase allows us to do that.
easy to implement
What do you like best about the product?
Set up is easy
low code
bringing team globally
low code
bringing team globally
What do you dislike about the product?
Reporting is complicating as compared power bi and TABLUE is complicating
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
bringing team on board
User Friendly
What do you like best about the product?
QB is a good organizational tool. It helps put your entire project in one place and is very user-friendly. No complex coding to figure out.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downfall I have found with QB is it can be a little glitchy. It takes a while to think before you can move on to your next step, and it sometimes crashes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
QB helps multiple people within a project communicate. There are many people in the office, in the field, and traveling. Sometimes we don't get to collaborate, and this helps us all stay on track.
It is very intuitive and very easy to pick up as a database platform
What do you like best about the product?
Everything just works. Having experience in database programming, I can see what the alternatives would be and how some procedures may be very tedious but with Quickbase it just works.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downside I would say is the lack of 1. searching guides for advanced searching (I have to go into deep forums to figure it out) and how their formulas are not always that comparable to actual programming languages. As a Computer Science graduate, the formula aspect of QuickBase called my attention a lot as it was the main aspect where I could implement what I learned in university. However, some things just don't "click" or make sense as a programmer. these are things you get around or rather used to the longer you use Quickbase formulas, but I would say that is the major thing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ability to build and share database applications for projects that wouldn't otherwise implement it the way we do. that is the best part in terms of business for us. Companies see what we build with their information and shape it to fit their entire needs and specifications and it's just a powerhouse of a tool for them and their project. this benefits us because we do not need to go out of our way to hire database programming certified engineers to build these platforms we are building today. not to mention other web development certified engineers to integrate the database with a digestible platform like QuickBase is. we can focus on hiring specialists in the field that our clients come from and use their expertise to better build our platform and just train those hires to be well-versed in QuickBase along the way. that is the true magic of Quickbase.
Amazing Quick Build-Out For A Custom LIMS!
What do you like best about the product?
QuickBase is very intuitive when it comes to building out a database schema. They've made linking items up with Foreign Keys and then being able to update tables via CSVs extremely simple. Combine that with some basic Python scripting and you can create very rudimentary inventory tracking databases for a small group in a very short time frame (<1 month).
What do you dislike about the product?
QuickBase automation, out of the box, is a little clunky. You can "low-code" some of it through the interface, but it was much easier in my situation to utilize Python scripts from database outputs. It'd be great to see the site take in user scripts and implement them, although, that'd be very hard to manage from a security stand point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We had a massive inventory of items tracked through spreadsheets that had gotten too large. QuickBase allowed us to get around that and also semi-automate our pipeline while also providing an intuitive interface for end-users.
Quickbase is an excellent product.
What do you like best about the product?
The low code/no code platform allows apps to be made quickly and efficiently. Quickbase is very easy to use and does not require a user to have a computer science degree to make a useful application.
What do you dislike about the product?
Quickbase does have its limitations in extending its platform through use of code, but code pages and other improvements has made this less of a hassle. Quickbase can also occasionally promise a specific update but take a long time to actually release it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quickbase does an excellent job and being able to store any relevant information and connect it to other tables/fields/etc. very easily and efficiently. I believe that Quickbase's ease of use and ability to create meaningful apps in a short amount of time is paramount.
