What do you like best about the product?
Flexible, Zabbix can be customized to fit your needs and adapt to any use case. The granularity in their roles makes super easy multi-tenancy support. Highly customizable dashboards.

Documentation is not the best. Not very user-friendly.

We are using for all infrastructure monitoring. Being open source we were paying 1/10 of the cost of commercial COTS products

I lack anything to pinpoint as a negative vibe with this tool as it caters for all our needs.

To monitor the performance of our organization applications, networks and servers, Zabbix is the software I recommend any organization to give a try.

What do you like best about the product?
I chose this product because of its functionalities as well as its free. Additionally, it has the capabilities to support LDAP which makes it really helpful to assign users permission within our team.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much help on the web. Sometimes i get lost when there isn't much help that you could find. The forum is a bit out-dated as well and not much interaction between the people in the forum.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to have disk space issues on various servers but with the implementation of Zabbix, we can now eliminate the routine task of logging into the server and check the disk usage. Zabbix sends out notification when the server hits the configured threshold.
A very powerful and flexible monitoring tool
What do you like best about the product?
Zabbix is highly flexible with easily customizable out of box templates , hosts auto-discovery, low level discovery of items, configurable actions, out of box multi-tenancy support (a result of granular user roles and permissions, host groups and tags), ad-hoc graphs, customizable dashboards, strong API for integration with other systems and intuitive maps. I also like the clear and open roadmap.

For first timers it takes a lot of time to figure out how things work, customize or tune
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Zabbix we monitor the whole IP Network Infrastructure and Services. We are also better equipped to grant access to our customers so they can view different metrics of their services.

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Zabbix is its a free tool that you can easily install in any Linux flavored machines and the installation process is also easy, you need need to be very technically good to install the tool and the steps of installation are very well documented in their website.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the disadvantages of Zabbix is the template used for the different vendor of network devices are pretty old and for adding new host on the tool with SNMPv3, finding a template is a task.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving majorly monitoring problem of ISP DIA and point to point links of the business and the CPU/Memory Utilization of critical production network hosts in our business environment.

Not a modern, user friendly UI, it could be much better.

Continouosly monitoring, server related issues like high CPU / Heap Memory issues.

What do you like best about the product?
Zabbix is the best open-source monitoring tool that allows me to customize templates as I want to monitor any server and desktop operating systems and set different threshold limits for alerts by simply editing a xml file.
Not only operating systems, It allows me to monitor VMware ESXi hosts and also the enterprise network devices such as Routers, Switches and Access Points as well.

What do you dislike about the product?
With Zabbix, I have tried to monitor Cent OS, Ubuntu OS and Windows 10 OS using SNMP and I have noticed that it takes more time to identify services that are running in the host system (Some times it takes more than 1 hour) and also it can identify only few services with SNMP.
But later-on, I have installed Zabbix agents to all the 3 operating systems and then add them to Zabbix server. Then the server started identifying all the host services with in seconds. So, my recommendation is to always use Zabbix Agent if it is available for the client.

With Zabbix, currently I'm monitoring physical and virtual server performance and usage [CPU, Memory, Storage, etc].
I have realized that Zabbix made my life easier since it sends me alerts as e-mails if any issue occurred in my servers. Specially it helps me to manage my server storage since it sends alerts after severs reach the threshold limits, so I am able to take necessary precautions to maintain my servers even though I'm at home.

What do you like best about the product?
Zabbix is a great tool for automation control. It easily assists administration in managing permissions and roles for users. The audit view of the custom log can be modified according to roles and permissions to maintain data confidentiality. The trigger display can be customized. The availability report has a new time filter that can be used to select a time range to view specific data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The detection of problems and metric collection visualization should be configurable for each user view. The configuration needs event correlation to activate points and should come with a test function key to verify functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
End-to-end security and distributed monitoring help to track and control remote data centers. Zabbix, through proxy servers, helps to isolate the network and speed up the response from the node. The best thing I like about Zabbix is that the agents do not become outdated. The new version of Zabbix always supports its previous version of the agent. Zabbix 4.X also supports IPv4 or IPv6 or mixes the Internet protocol for addressing, which saved us a lot of time in the total integration with AWS EC2 in the cloud.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The predefined templates make it easier to get started and provide some study examples, but this is not a plug and play application, so it is necessary to read at least the official knowledge base or specific manuals for the version in use.
Poorly documented and complicated for the network but perfect for systems and SNMP hosts!
What do you like best about the product?
We installed Zabbix almost two months ago. I heard from a friend who works in a web company as a Linux systems admin. Very simple installation, you can find many documents on the official site and the web. But the configuration is a bit complicated for a network guy. I am a network engineer and it is a system monitoring tool. My friend tells me it's better for system monitoring, but in my opinion, if you want network monitoring, you can use different software.
What do you dislike about the product?
My experience with Zabbix has been perfect, so there's nothing to complain about except the lack of a truly comprehensive manual for the deployment and initial configuration of the supported and long-term updated version 4.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All our servers were in Zabbix, as we have a lot of e-commerce sites, we need to monitor them to avoid any issues on the site and losing our sales, so Zabbix has helped us a lot to always see it and quickly resolve any problem that it shows us, also through alerts on Telegram or on modern chats configured on our smartphones for paging functionality.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it to have everything protected, so you can always see what's happening with your link, then everything will be under control with a good monitoring team. It's better to spend time setting up a monitoring system rather than having to restore clusters and hosts after various disasters and crashes.
