Reliable and trustworthy monitoring solution
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about zabbix is that it is an open source software and you get it for free. I also like how it is always being updated to add more features and make it more user friendly. I also like how flexible it is in that it is highly customisable for any situation. I like how quickly it alerts you in case there is an issue with your servers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Zabbix's customer support is poor and they never respond to your concerns. It is very difficult to use and understand for individuals using it for the first time. I also think that the user interface can be greatly improved.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Zabbix has been an amazing and reliable tool for monitoring our servers and systems and also some of our applications. We also use it to generate reports that help in making important decisions with our systems. It has really helped in saving time and resources which is a big advantage of this tool.

I like the UI of the zabbix most.It has a lot of features which helps to monitor all types of servers.
What do you dislike about the product?
Configuring Zabbix is complicated, and you need to be an expert to configure the Zabbix templates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This is the best solution to monitor Linux, windows servers and for network monitoring as well.

All you could need open source monitoring
What do you like best about the product?
It is an advanced network monitoring tool. It can be used and customized to fit anyone's needs. Best of all, it doesn't cost a cent to use unless you pay for their support. For small and large companies, that's great as it reduces overall costs, which you can use elsewhere.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is very advanced. Not suitable for beginners or people who aren't very technical. I don't believe we are using it to its full potential as we don't have a deep understanding of how it all works and how to customize it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It has now been monitoring thousands of devices for us via SNMP and ICMP. We can find when a problem arises quickly and be alerted to it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it out if you are technical. If not, look at other monitoring tools like LibreNMS.

Lots of metrics via built in and external packages.
What do you dislike about the product?
Weak on the network side of the shop, could use a lot more built-in alerts and reports.

What do you like best about the product?
Autoscaling capability & out of the box monitoring templates with dashboards. Goot support on GitHub & Ansible for automation.

It has no features for technology/programming languages specific metrics. Missing AI components.

Infrastructure & network-related events & incidents. Especially monitoring thousands of systems.
Tried and true, Zabbix is an open source powerhouse of monitoring technologies
What do you like best about the product?
I love that Zabbix is free and open source! Zabbix was built on server technologies that have been around for a long time and that almost any web server can run, so I have never had a situation where the technology couldn't support Zabbix. It has an incredibly deep configuration system, and as a result, it can monitor or visualize pretty much any data imaginable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The methodologies behind Zabbix and how users interact with it feel like they are aging a bit. Additionally, because of its complexity and flexibility, configuring and maintaining a Zabbix instance can be a significant maintenance burden. I find myself falling out of use with Zabbix over time, and then spending a lot of time auditing my instance later.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have used Zabbix extensively over the years for monitoring both my internal network as well as all of my public websites and other online properties. Additionally, I have used it at several past jobs to implement a full-featured monitoring solution for their network. When properly maintained, it gives you peace of mind that you know what's happening within your network or your services, and you have the tools to help track down issues as they occur.
Best Open source tool to install in an organization for Network Administration
What do you like best about the product?
It is a free, and an open-source tool, the features it offers are excellent and can be efficiently used in an organization to monitor all the hosts and the network devices using SNMP or ICMP protocol.
What do you dislike about the product?
Zabbix needs to provides templates for recent network products which are introduced in the market. The templates are either not functioning well or have some issues. If the support team can resolve that, it will be great. Also, integration of Zabbix templates with new-generation devices has been a constant request in the Zabbix Community.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Monitoring networks in a secured Infrastructure has been one of the best features which Zabbix offers. Also, it helps in taking immediate actions if any networking device faces an outage.

What do you like best about the product?
Having the ability to have a dashboard for a summary view across all network elements and their status with color coding and alerts is brought readily to my attention.
What do you dislike about the product?
Changing threshold settings for specific alerts requires detailed, expert knowledge and looking for help in the manuals and guides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Hosting environment for runtime capacity, fault management, and performance monitoring of key applications that customers rely upon for high availability service.
BEST TOOL FOR MONITORING SERVER AND NETWORK
What do you like best about the product?
Zabbix is used for monitoring networks, servers, cloud services, and virtual machines in our network. Zabbix also gives real-time network utilization, disk usages, network uptime, and CPU graphs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation, reporting are weak; otherwise, nothing to dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As Zabbix is an open-source software-based monitoring tool, so it helps us to reduce cost. Anyone can use Zabbix to customize alerts as per requirement.
