Ansible Automation Platform - the best automation platform
What do you like best about the product?
The thing that I love most about AAP is its seamless integration capabilities. We were about to set up a full integration with our ServiceNow platform for automation request intake, as well as CyberArk for secure secret management. Both of which were done with OOB functionality provided by the platform and only took a few days to get operational.
What do you dislike about the product?
Cannot relaunch jobs with DIFFERENT survey parameters.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently, VM distribution/decommissioning and network operation automation.
Incredible for automating repeated tasks in consistent manner

Ansible allows our IT team to create standardized procedures for consistent software deployment and configuration. Implementation has reduced workstation deployment, standardized our server configurations, and has simplified repetitive management tasks. Our team frequently uses Ansible in day-to-day tasks
What do you dislike about the product?
Ansible can be complicated for new users to start using and developing, but there is comprehensive documentation and plenty of resources online.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have many small networks that require identical configurations, and Ansible is vital to our ability to standardize these environments

Tool to automate patterns and repetitive tasks.
Ansible automation has been excellent at helping to automated basic operations tasks.
What do you like best about the product?
The platform has lots of documentation that makes it easy to find what I want and what I need. Once I have everything set up it is very easy to test the code that has been written.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are times where finding the exact thing that I need is difficult and getting things to work the way I want just doesn't exist and needs to be created by hand either through custom modules, or using shell commands.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It makes it easy to scale up to numerous servers when the actions that need to be performed across servers are the same.
Automate That Stuff!
What do you like best about the product?
AAP makes my life easier because I am a lazy engineer! If there is ever a configuration task that I have to do more than once, I use AAP to get it done. Even if I may only do something once, chances are there is a playbook for it, just incase I ever have to do it again.
What do you dislike about the product?
The disconnect between Hashi TF and AAP. These two products are awesome when used together and a tighter integration between them is not only a need, but it is mandatory!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
AAP allows me to automate my environment, taking hours and days down to minutes. This, in turn, allows me to focus on novel problems and innovations.
Control config drift
What do you like best about the product?
We use it primarily to control configuration drift. A nightly run resets a lot of system settings to comply with internal standards
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not have any dislikes with the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
System owners change settings that make systems non-compliant. Ansible resets those settings
Ansible - the all purpose tool

Every place a client desires to automate a process of respond to know conditions, Ansible has been the tool to deliver this capability.
It's an improvement on Tower, but still needs work
What do you like best about the product?
Integration with git is excellent and invaluable for easy maintenance of playbooks. Secrets management is trustworthy.
What do you dislike about the product?
Setup/configuration is overly complicated, and navigation in the GUI can be unfriendly and the terminology jargony, even for those with a lot of experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Most of my team is fairly proficient in Ansible, so this, combined with git, allows us to use each other's playbooks, and it ensures that our most-frequently-used playbooks are kept up-to-date. As with all automation, the primary problem is the ever-increasing expectation of productivity and perfection.
