Centralizes Data, But Has a Learning Curve

  • November 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how well-built and well-structured the Amplify Platform is, which enhances my ability to centralize project data effectively. I love its ability to replace scattered spreadsheets, project tools, and manual reporting, streamlining our processes significantly. Additionally, I find it flexible and configurable to our specific KPIs, which allows us to tailor the platform according to our unique requirements and maximize its utility in our projects.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the Amplify Platform complex to navigate at first, which can be daunting. Specifically, the configuration layers around benefits modeling, dependencies, and reporting hierarchies feel particularly challenging to grasp. Additionally, initial setup wasn't entirely straightforward, as I would rate the ease of setup as 6 out of 10.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplify Platform to centralize project data, eliminating scattered spreadsheets, project tools, and manual reporting, thereby streamlining our data processes.

Seamless Integration and Universal Governance for Effortless API Management

  • November 25, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most is the ease of integration and the way so many features work together to enforce governance across the board. The platform serves as more than just a gateway; it acts as a central control plane for all our policies. Implementation is especially smooth for my team thanks to the CLI, which allows us to programmatically deploy new API specs from Git directly into the registry. This programmatic workflow is essential for our shift-left testing pipeline, and because it runs with every developer commit, we use the platform constantly. Policy testing is also straightforward and user-friendly. I don't have to worry about which gateway brand the API is running on, I simply test the policy and check for the expected 401 or 429 status codes. That level of universal governance is the platform's standout feature. Additionally, the API contract retrieval capability serves as my single source of truth, automatically preventing breaking changes. While I haven't needed to contact customer support myself, the platform has proven to be very stable, and the documentation is sufficient to get our automation up and running.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have major complaints because the governance enforcement is excellent. However, if I had to point out an issue, it would be the complexity of the initial setup. Integrating the platform with all our various API gateways, is far from straightforward. The initial configuration required to enable universal governance is time consuming and demands specialized expertise. Additionally, since I rely entirely on the CLI and API for automation, I am heavily dependent on the documentation. If I encounter a bug or need a feature that isn't fully available through the command line yet, I end up having to use the UI, which undermines my automation efforts.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The main issue that Amplify addresses is the confusion and difficulty of managing APIs across multiple environments. Previously, we had to manually verify security policies on each individual gateway, which was a real nightmare. With Amplify, we now have comprehensive governance enforcement and significant time savings. The platform allows us to apply policies universally, so I only need to test OAuth and Rate Limit rules once, and I can be confident they work everywhere, which streamlines my test suites. Additionally, it helps prevent breaking changes. The system provides the official API contract, which my scripts use to validate live responses. If a developer introduces an error in the payload, my test fails immediately. This shift has transformed our role from simply functional testers to true governance testers.

Effortless Excel Management, Needs More Training Resources

  • November 11, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the Amplify Platform for its ease of use and excellent service. It stands out because other platforms I've tried are more complicated, which makes Amplify Platform a more attractive option. The platform's straightforward nature simplifies my tasks, especially those involving complex inventory management in Excel. The initial setup of Amplify Platform was exceptionally easy, which further enhances my experience and efficiency with the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the Amplify Platform could benefit from offering more training classes. While the platform is easy to use, additional training opportunities could enhance user proficiency and ensure that all functionalities are effectively utilized.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Amplify Platform for Excel work, simplifying complex inventory tasks with ease of use and good service, unlike other complicated platforms.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Fast development and delivery of applications in a controlled environment. I find the tooling interesting and the overall functionalities complete although with some issues
What do you dislike about the product?
Vendor Lock-in, tied to AWS platform, rigidity. Specific steps to deploy and deliver. Overall the experience is good, but with a lot of caveats to be aware of.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We need to quickly deliver an API on top of AWS infrastructure and Amplify was a quick win in the area. Honestly, we did not use it before but as a first experience it was good.

Amplify Platform: Streamlined Integration with Room for Developer Experience Improvements

  • October 17, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
As a technical lead, I really appreciate how Amplify Platform simplifies integration and deployment. Its modular architecture, API-first design, and automation capabilities significantly reduce development time and operational overhead while maintaining high standards of scalability and security.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the Amplify Platform offers great flexibility and integration capabilities, some aspects of the developer experience could be more streamlined. For example, build and deployment processes can feel a bit rigid at times, and documentation or environment setup guidance could be more comprehensive, especially for complex use cases.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
From a tech lead’s perspective, Amplify Platform is solving the complexity of managing multiple microservices, environments, and deployment pipelines. It brings standardization, governance, and visibility into the development lifecycle, helping our teams focus more on solution delivery rather than infrastructure setup and manual coordination.

Powerful Federated API Management, but Setup and Learning Curve Can Be Challenging

  • October 16, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
What I appreciate most about Amplify is its federated architecture. It lets us manage APIs across multiple gateways, clouds, and on prem systems without forcing us to rip out what we already have. The discovery/catalog features help devs actually find existing APIs instead of rebuilding things.
What do you dislike about the product?
The setup can be somewhat complex, especially when integrating with legacy systems or multiple clouds. Sometimes the learning curve for less-experienced team members is steep. Also, documentation exists but occasionally lacks deep examples for custom or edge use cases. The UI, while good, could be smoother in certain parts (e.g. onboarding external developers or configuring complicated workflows).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
API sprawl & fragmented environments: Amplify solves this by federating control and bringing visibility and governance across all of them. That means fewer surprises, less time wasted tracking what exists, and more reuse.

It streamlines complex workflows, integrates seamlessly with various tools, and provides valuable insights through analytics. The platform’s flexibility and scalability make it easy to adapt to different business needs while maintaining great performance and efficiency.
What do you dislike about the product?
While the Amplify Platform is powerful and versatile, I sometimes find that certain advanced features require a bit of a learning curve. Additionally, occasional system slowdowns or minor UI inconsistencies can affect the overall user experience. However, these are small issues compared to the platform’s overall capabilities and benefits.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The Amplify Platform helps solve challenges around managing multiple integrations, automating workflows, and improving data visibility. It centralizes operations, reduces manual effort, and ensures better communication across teams. By streamlining these processes, it saves time, minimizes errors, and boosts overall productivity and efficiency in daily tasks.
