What do you dislike about the product?
Frequent UI redesigns of Active Workspace. The rich client is too hard to abandon due to a more comprehensive admin experience.
On premise instance is now too customized to move to Tc X.
Siemens won't publish the golden environment they are trying to build in Tc X and document all the capability road map so it's always a sales/services discussion on moving to Tc X. We pay for SaaS licensing with a hope to some day MAYBE move to Tc X but it was more of a bullying of sales from our view.
Cumbersome to upgrade in large complex instances like ours.
Deployment center is still not smooth for our upgrades.

TeamCenter for technical training
What do you like best about the product?
We use Teamcenter for creating technical training content. Our content developers use Teamcenter almost daily to develop technical training content on complex mechanical and electrical systems. It enables us to disassemble a machine virtually and take screenshots to incorporate into face to face and virtual training classes.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are a lot of features in the software so there's a bit of a learning curve initially to get started and learn how to navigate / use the features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Teamcenter allows us to create training content on complex machinery without having the machinery present. It's also easier / faster to get the images needed for training out of Teamcenter vs trying to photograph an actual machine.
