Teamcenter deployment and integration
What do you like best about the product?
The number of capability modules available enables the engineering digital thread to be enacted within teamcenter from requirements management to E-Bom, M-Bom and process planning and governed by change control workflows. Integration to the other Siemens products such as Polarion, NX, Capital
What do you dislike about the product?
Complex to deploy and maintain and often hit by many bugs that slow down any deployment. Integration to other SIemens products that should 'just work' but often do not due to differences in data model and lack of integration testing by SIemens. Many times the pre sales promise is not delivered in in reality

I like the fact that we can connect all relevant information about our design and product data through TC and other Siemens application

There are so many ways to accomplish the same thing and it would be helpful when setting up the tool if there was more info on the design intent - how is the tool ment to work

I am a relatively new user of Teamcenter but find it an effective system that allows for easy set-up and formatting.
What do you dislike about the product?
Multiple different windows, and tabs within those windows make it a little hard to navigate at times.

Keeping all our files and models in a centric location, used across functionally across departments.

User Interface is very user friendly. It comes with lot of features helpful for managing product lifecycle

Teamcenter is the best when it comes to maintaining history of work with the help of revisions. Approval cycles can also be easily configured and managed in Teamcenter. Tracking of the data is quite easy

Siemens PLM TeamCenter has been my favorite product after using it for the last 10 years. It has many excellent features such as managing documents, parts, and designs.
Regarding integration, I generally prefer to use OOTB integration, and Siemens PLM TeamCenter provides numerous OOTB integrations with CAD applications and SAP tools, making it a comprehensive end-to-end product.
They have the TeamCenter Visualization tool, which is a separate tool with strong integration capabilities to help with markup and reviewing design models. The TC viewer is also an excellent product as a separate module of Siemens PLM TeamCenter.
What needs improvement?
Currently everyone is looking for cloud-based products, and while they have TeamCenter X, I think it has not yet matured. They can focus on making it more mature and introduce some AI elements.

I have witnessed its stability for the last 10 to 12 years.

The initial setup was straightforward because it was easy to have a good configuration. I would say it was a positive experience rather than difficult.

It is definitely scalable.

The initial setup was not difficult because it was easy to have a good configuration. I would say it was a positive experience rather than difficult.
What about the implementation team?
I work with multiple companies including IBM, TCS, and at that time, we were working as a partner with Siemens PLM TeamCenter.
What's my experience with pricing, setup cost, and licensing?
The price always depends and varies based on the relationship as I work for multiple vendors. I would say product-wise, the price is good and among the best.
What other advice do I have?
In a confidential way, I do not want to expose my company and my name. I rate Siemens PLM TeamCenter a perfect 10 out of 10.

What do you like best about the product?
Teamcenter makes it easy to manage complex product data across teams. I really like how it brings everything—documents, BOMs, workflows—into one central place. It helps reduce communication gaps and ensures version control. It’s especially helpful for improving cross-functional collaboration and keeping track of product changes throughout the lifecycle.
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve can be steep at first, especially for users who aren’t familiar with PLM systems. The interface isn’t always intuitive, and it sometimes takes a few extra steps to do simple tasks. But once you’re used to it, it becomes more manageable.

Teamcenter helps centralize all our product-related data in one secure place, which improves team collaboration and reduces the risk of errors or duplicated work. It streamlines version control, speeds up the review process, and ensures that everyone is working with the most updated information. This has saved time and made our workflows much more efficient—especially when managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders.
