Transforming Media Monitoring and Insights with Meltwater
What do you like best about the product?
As a Senior Business Solution Consultant I find Meltwater has been an incredible tool for media monitoring and analytics needs. The platform's intuitive interface and robust features make it a go-to tool for tracking media mentions, analyzing trends, and getting insights through customizable dashboards to focus on relevant KPIs.
The AI-Search Assistant helps a lot when it comes to create or refine searches, also the AI-Powered Insights help to get more accurate results like mentions or sentiment among other relevant KPIs. Additionally, the Engage portion helps a lot when it comes to integrating Social Media Management all in one place, even when it comes to moderate conversations in real time with the community.
In general, I highly recommend Meltwater for organizations to empower data-driven decision-making or to manage social media channels.

What do you dislike about the product?
I feel the user experience is great, and Meltwater Product Team is always improving the platform every month, sharing great updates and enhancements in the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The regular product updates, published on their Product Updates page, demostrate the company's commitment to innovation and staying ahead of industry needs.
Easy to use and makes our work more efficient, especially in such a small team.

Being able to do research and also schedule social content.

Reconnecting accounts when the connection expires, it's kinda annoying.

What do you like best about the product?
The tracking of chatters about the brand/topics/hashtags that would be useful to know in terms of brand perception from the public and what topics are highly mentioned, and the measure of stats under Engage.
What do you dislike about the product?
-Boost function on the platform does not seem to help. Still need to go to native platform to adjust campaign settings before able to boost the post. Counter productive process for boost on the Meltwater platform.
-Some missing stats on Measure - i.e. average reach, average min. viewed, followers gained per post. Hopefully, MW is able to track paid performance for platforms like Instagram, LinkedIn and Youtube too, not just for Facebook, and to include stats such as CPM, cost per click, etc.
-Can possibly include a local benchmark feature to add in our dashboard under Measure for our reference - i.e. benchmark for average min. viewed locally or to define what is good engagement rate for each platform, etc.

Comprehensive tracking, needs improvement for media research and relations
What do you like best about the product?
In my opinion, Meltwater has the most comprehensive tracking software available to public relations representatives. When compared over the years to its peers, it could consistently gather more data than its competitors, leading to more comprehensive reports.
Customer support is fantastic. We have established bi-weekly office hours and over the years our reps have been quickly available when any issues arise. They are a true partner.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's reporter database is ok, improving over the years tremendously, but I too often find generic emails for press contacts or a lack of current updates. From demoing competitors, I think there are other programs that do this better. In addition, sending and tracking emails through the system is not a great option, given the lack of customization you are able to provide (only fill in the blanks, not customized sentences or notes). Where it matters most, it excels. Most press contacts can be found through a little digging and other sources.
While it can be comprehensive, I don't find the ease of use/understanding to always be easy. It can take quite a bit of manual effort to ensure accuracy and convert the data to reports.

Meltwater gives us data on our media placements. It also helps us to listen and monitor the media and social, offering a well rounded view of our client or current topics. We also have Klear for influencer relations and management.

What do you like best about the product?
I love how Meltwater Radarly provides a comprehensive overview of social media trends. It enables me to track current and past conversations about our product offering in real-time, which is crucial for understanding player sentiment and preferences. Sentiment analysis and real-time alerts keep me in the loop even when I don't have time for a deep dive
What do you dislike about the product?
Although the interface is user-friendly, there is still a learning curve to fully utilize all the advanced features. It can take some time to get accustomed to the various tools and functionalities available. But it is worth the investment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use listening and real-time alert tools to monitor sentiment around our various product offers. We can see sudden changes in sentiment and also gain insights into product reception, bugs and live issues, and a further metric to compliment our conversion numbers.
Profitable SL tool in the market, but can improve some features
What do you like best about the product?
The limitations of the API restrcted websites doesn't allow many tools to track the forums, but is is available in the meltwater, which helps us a lot, because our manual tasks are reduced, and everything is captured in real time basis, which helps is minimizing crisis for clients

the dashborads that are customizable, has limitations and is very basic, we have to make changes in it everytime.

The main problem Meltwater is helping us solve is threat tracking for our clients, its real time mentions and insights for any kind of digital footprint for our clients help us secure their digital reputation on the global level.
A Seamless Tool for Social Listening!
What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater's daily digests and robust reporting dashboards make it easy to see exactly what I need! Each morning I start my day reading through the daily digest to see if there are any customer support fires to put out. When you have nearly 400 shop locations, Meltwater makes it easy to tap in and address concerns and praise.
What do you dislike about the product?
Meltwater is an expensive tool, but when budgeted for, it has driven results for our immediate team and owners. There is an abundance of features which is helpful, but can make it difficult to know where to begin looking and clicking for an answer.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Meltwater allows our team to better capture what customers are saying about our shops online. Most recently, I have been using Meltwater to verify PR analytics. Our previous platform for PR analytics was often inaccurate and Meltwater has given me the confidence to share my findings both internally and externally.

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater has been helped a great deal for us, be it usi in social listening or orm or caompaign management. its features are amazing and gives data realt time manner, which lacks in most of the industry tools not a days. We are a marketing agency which specialized in ORM and Social Listening

the only thing is number of lgoins should be high given that the package is good amout, more than three logins and tools log outs automcatically

Our cliets ususally require competiton tracking and industry tracking, meltwater helps us to gather l the data in a single place for us to analyse. We use for influcencer data, tracking real time data and insights about industry and brands. Also for response management
Meltwater Key to University Social Media Success
What do you like best about the product?
The feature/product we use most is Meltwater Engage. It has been paramount in our social media content calendar, scheduling, and monitoring inquiries.
What do you dislike about the product?
We do experience glitches with Meltwater a little more frequently than I would like, but that being said, their chat/customer support team is incredible. So, any time there is a slight issue, you do have access to timely customer support to fix it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bringing together content for various platforms into one scheduling tool is hugely beneficial. I can't imagine having to jump back and forth between platforms to individually schedule content.
