Meltwater makes pulling media hits easy

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it aggregates and sends hits to my inbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to set up, the dashboards are confusing and there is a lot of unnecessary media pulled as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I don't have to run extensive google searches everyday.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Set up your dashboard and searches with a Meltwater representative to ensure you have everything exactly as you need it, done right the first time.

Innovative tool

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater has almost made Google unnecessary for me when it comes to looking up media contacts or industry news. My morning e-mails are packed full of the information from around the country that I used to have to search for on my own. We've had other media services but none have been as thorough.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are so many tools and functions that Meltwater offers that, at times, I feel like I don't even know how to use it. As someone who learns by doing things hands-on I wish there were more site training opportunities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem Meltwater has solved is that no longer are there news items from around the country that slip through the cracks. If something is happening out there, I know about it right away.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Give yourself time to get in it and play around with the functions. And take lots of notes when you have your consultant on the phone.

Solid media database, user friendly coverage monitoring

What do you like best about the product?
The customer service has always been superb. Whenever I need something, they are always available. If I find a journalist who's information is incorrect, I simply email them, and within a few days, it's updated. I also love how clean the new media monitoring suit looks. As with any software, it takes some time to learn, but it is clean, and simple.
What do you dislike about the product?
In the new system, the media database has fewer features. Mainly, there is not the same mail-merge function of inputting a journalists name automatically. While this is certainly not a huge deficit, it does make some press release distribution a little difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We did not have a media database and had a very minimal media list. We also had no media monitoring and therefore did not know what our reach was nationally or regionally. MeltWater has aided us in greatly increasing our national and regional coverage. In one year we were able to build relationships with national level journalists and receive feature stories in major publications as well as build relationships with regional journalists.

What do you like best about the product?
The platform is easy to use. Training and support are excellent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes media mentions do slip through the cracks, so to speak. To be fair, though, I don't know if any platform can catch everything. But I have missed a few that were important.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use the platform primarily for media outreach and monitoring. The media directory is excellent, and the feature that allows me to instantly send email to media lists I create is very easy to use.

Great Experience - Love the Acadamy

What do you like best about the product?
I specifically liked the amount of information provided about Influencer Marketing in the academy. I felt it was different than most "courses" and was much more helpful than others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Something I don't love about meltwater is aesthetic, but I am picky. Also at time the amount of information provided can be overwhelming but I would say it is organized well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have learned to manage and create influencer campaigns better than anywhere else. This has helped me to be more productive overall and has even better influencer campaigns.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
They really care about their customers and want you to get the best out of their products!

What do you like best about the product?
I like how quick my account manager gets back to me when I have a question or need help. I also like the functionality of the share of voice tool. I use it all of the time.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like the media database can be a little outdated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest business problem I solve is showing my value to the executive team. I am also able to keep a good media database that helps me track the influencers I need to be in touch with.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure and look into other tools to make sure this is the one for you. When I looked at the competition, Meltwater came out ahead largely due to the ammount of features for the cost.

What do you like best about the product?
Good manager with Meghan Hauser. Easy to use. Love daily reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like access to print coverage with PDFs of articles. They should not limit the number of companies to monitor; particularly with the high price point.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Media monitoring for clients. I enjoy getting the daily emails that can be shared with clients.

What do you like best about the product?
The tool is easy to use and good at identifying new press contacts. If there are any questions, our account representative, Dylan Yang has been wonderful about addressing them.
What do you dislike about the product?
The old version versus the new version and the different services can get confusing. Maybe they can consolidate some services and remove older ones that have taken on a new form. However if there any questions, the Meltwater team has been helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Without a PR firm for Furnished Quarters, we are solving the issue of getting our name out there with press releases and journalist outreach.

What do you like best about the product?
Meltwater is the most comprehensive systems I have ever used. I've used Meltwater in two different workplaces and have always had a good experience. Not only is the monitoring service complete and easy to tailor to specific needs, the customer service also excels.
What do you dislike about the product?
Occasionally, the system can seem a bit overwhelming when attempting to pull up various reports, especially if they are complex. However, as I mentioned above, customer service is excellent and fast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Meltwater at my current position to monitor our industry in the press. This helps us to keep abreast of what the media is saying, and also helps us to measure our success when sending out press releases.

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility for twitter of being able to see streams for 10-15 institutional handles at the same time curated to personal needs (for example, only mentions and retweets) is extremely useful for staying on top of social engagement.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish that it was easier to find tweets by third party handles that mention my organization without specifically tagging our handle.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have dramatically improved our ability to monitor comments to multiple handles that receive a high volume of engagement. We are also able to schedule social media content to go out in advance which makes weekend scheduling easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Highly useful to monitor the streams of multiple channels and institutional accounts.
