Excellent Team Collaboration Application
What do you like best about the product?
Easy Virtual Team Collaboration that has been incredible to bridge the gap that COVID has brought upon a lot of us. Makes it much easier to drive great brainstorming and planning sessions. The canvas makes it easier to build great sessions with different teams, plus it is intuitive and easy to adopt. Great tool! In times where our team, which spans across several countries, has had challenges collaborating, using these templates and essentially an infinite whiteboard has allowed us to improve how we work together. By using different templates within the application, we have been able to drive a lot of improvements easily.
What do you dislike about the product?
Would like more tools to perform calculations. Would also like to learn what other applications can be synched to extend the capabilities of the application. There might be some that I am still not aware of, but maybe proactive insights would make it easier for me to understand how I can connect Miro to other applications, creating a much more robust solution. It would also be great if I could tap into a user community to learn what other users are doing and how to benchmark great solutions. I tend to struggle when I am not entirely sure which template best suits my needs at the moment, so would be great if I could easily look at what others have built through other uses cases, so that I can get the creative brain juices flowing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Remote work, cross-functional collaboration. It has made it much easier to collaborate and generate great brainstorming sessions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It might be overwhelming at the beginning, but it really is an intuitive tool that is easily adopted and that really allows for great team collaboration.
Miro Launchpad
What do you like best about the product?
All the features in one common shared place , i dont have to install and open many softwares on each of the devices connected in the team
i like the pointing and framing sytems , makes the visual storytelling part at its best, i have been telling everyone at work about it and everyone is very very amazed and impressed , a few already decided to use it

What do you dislike about the product?
i'm not sure but maybe if you give the user the freedom to only show desired features , it would be even simpler , maybe the cost is it a bit too much , maybe it should be cheaper so that everyone can use all the features , or maybe a person can customize their own miro board buttons and menus to be tailored per user , so that the user can optimize his or her performance based on their optimized menus
i also disliked the fact that when i was done with the program i lost access to all my boards that i have made , i have worked very hard to see them dissapear :( , if theres a histortical project board tab that would be just awesome :)
but overall i dont dislike miro at all , in fact i have been telling everyone at work about it and everyone is very very amazed and impressed , a few already decided to use it

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
sharing powerpoint slides , jira stories (with all their types ) , and agile meetings , problem mapping , empathy mapping
helps you share and track bugs and version control , collab with git and other voting and messaging tools help the team really engage during these covid times
i have realized that all the benefits are basically the same as using 10 different softwares simultaneously
this is especially helpeful when u have restrictions in a company for installing software , so a cloud service with all the needed softwares would definitely always help the team and their flow of ideas without and obstacles of security requests or access control

Miro is a great tool for collaborative way of working with teams
What do you like best about the product?
It provides flexibility and freedom to work with teams and have everything captured using this tool at one place. Also, I liked the option of voting out against the available sticky notes, it provides great value addition in saving time in taking decisions at team level.
What do you dislike about the product?
During initial phase, It takes little time to get used to it. It wasn't easy to resize the board, lock/unlock the frames and hence was causing some sort of irritation while using this tool. But with the time, when one is used to it then it's not a problem anymore.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Have a working meeting using this tool, make use of sticky notes and meeting notes. Voting option is also a great feature.
I was able to use it for retrospective meetings, taking actions out of the meeting and also for any brainstorming activity. We also use it for our regular meetings where we setup the agenda along with backlog and then we work towards those items using Miro tool. It's also integrated with Jira so it provided flexibility to put items on board.

This tool can be used for not only regular meetings but even for other scrum ceremonies as it has voting options so we can use it for any brainstorming session as well.

High performance collaboration with customer and team members in discussion.

What do you dislike about the product?
It's better to be able to see card info while someone is editting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In COVID-19 situation, we could made high performance collaboration remotely!
Wider field than google jamboard is the benefit.

The best remote-focused collaboration
What do you like best about the product?
I love that teammates can work in real time to create storyboards, map ideas, and share any creative ideas. It makes it so easy to collaborate while being in totally different spaces, or while on a Zoom call.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’m not a fan of the highlights of changes while I’m not logged in. I like the idea, but also would like to see who has posted things after I clear the highlighting. Maybe this feature is somewhere I have overlooked.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to use google docs and sheets to organize information with others, but this space allows for much more creative collaboration by being able to organize things in different ways. I would actually likely use this even if I go back to working with others in person, just to keep our ideas, thoughts and processes organized. Now we use Miro to come up with interior design plans for a client and share individual ideas. We’re also able to merge our ideas into one singular thought process.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I know it’s hard to want to try and learn an additional new program when we already need a million programs to get our work done, but Miro takes essentially no time to learn, it’s super simple, and really helpful.
Beyond a white board
What do you like best about the product?
Started using Miro as a collaborative tool to connect, present and brainstorm with cross-organizational partners. It has been a great place to keep the project milestones, work-breakdown and brainstorm the user experience of the project I am coordinating on track.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you collaborate with people that aren't familiar with Miro you should calculate extra time to make them familiar. Especially in the overwhelming virtual world of the pandemic. Once people get the hang of it though, the collaboration is more powerful then an in person white-board. Me and my team will keep on using Miro beyond the pandemic even when we will meet in person again!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro has supported the cross-organizational team that the project is involved in to brainstorm, review and overview the project milestones in an organized and visual way. I also love that you can download any Frame as a vector PDF which allows you to share visual information with stakeholders involved.
One of the good things the sanitary situation gave to me
What do you like best about the product?
As an agile coach, I'm used to work with people using whiteboard and notes to visualize and understand.
Forced to go remote, me and my colleagues spend more than a month using many tools, but eventually decided to go full Miro.
It's simplicity and richness is really valuable to me, i keep using it day by day without getting bored.
The steady pace at which new features are added is a plus.

What do you dislike about the product?
Well, with many elements it becomes a little slow, and sometimes freezes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to keep people on the same page even while in remote working, and for me this is the most important thing.
Great real time collaborating tool
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to work in a white board in real time and the great templates to kick off any session. I use it almost daily to organize my team and work on collaborative ways.
The best features for me are:
- Great and organized templates (keep adding more)
- Sharing easily to a group of people with the link option
- Downloading App to windows made it easier to adopt and is more accesible than from chrome
- Being able to use in on iPad and iPhone

What do you dislike about the product?
A different way of managing licenses. Right now I have a team of 10 people but not every one needs the whole features of Miro, so it is not worth the price for everyone if it is a flat fee. And using link to share it to them works except that you cannot asign cards to anyone that way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Team organization, brainstorming, retrospective sessións, agility frameworks, real time collaboration for workshops and trainings
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dedicate an hour or so to explore it by yourself before using it live with other people; Miro has a lot of resourses to get you aquainted with the aplication and features.
Create custom templates for your flow of work and personalized to your team and preferences. If you don't want to start from zero, you can start from the templates and modify it to your liking.
Start using it right-away in your next meetings. This will make you change your approach and learn on the job and you will find it more and more usefull every day.

Miro satisfied my demand in short term. I drafted too many ideas on a frame
What do you like best about the product?
Miro is simple to use for a beginer. I could use it and show the result to anyone. Furthermore, miro helps me train my thoughts to be more logical because it arranges my flow of thoughts more clearly via simple symbols. Miro provides me an effective tool to think comprehensively.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have privileges to open various projects. It restricts my ideas because I have to draft too many one in a frame and it causes inconvenience as well as ineffectiveness. I always have to consider to avoid overlapping my logical trees. I applied Miro in studying and working, thus, it needs to be separate because I want to share the ideas to different targets. It could be better if Miro provides normal user right to open more project. Besides Miro should identify a standard frame so that users don't waste time on zoom in and out to look for the ongoing project.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mind mapping. I used Miro to map my idea and form my logic frame. When I have too many ideas at the same time, I use Miro to understand the structure of my thoughs better. The tool I applied is issue tree. The simple tools in Miro allow me to visualise my thoughts and share it to colleagues. With real-time update, we can work together remotely to complete the brainstorming stage in a project. For my dissertation, I used Miro to test my hypothesis. The flow of thoughts to prove each hypothesis are visualised to illustrate more clearly and comprehensively. Thus, it helps me save time to avoid wrong assumptions.
Discovering an awesome new tool
What do you like best about the product?
How flexible it is and how easy it is to create quality content.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes little hard to navigate with the zooms
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Note taking and presentations have never been easier.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a tool that allows you to take meeting notes, review content and allows you the flexibility to create your own presentations not like a multitude of slides but like a one window shop, then this is the tool for you. I was introduced to the tool here at vmware and it has come to be invaluable to me. I use it every day for taking down notes in meetings and use it to record important parts of a training or a webinar I am in. It allows me to simplify complex architecture diagrams easily and I am simply in love with this feature. I never knew I could create this level of professional looking presentations without any assistants or pre built templated.
