I love how flexible and versatile Miro is and would recommend it to anyone.

What do you like best about the product?
Its adaptability and ease of use. Anyone can get how it works even if they have never used if before quite easily. The fact that it does not limit you in any way with the infinite screen and variety of tools and resources. I also love all the templates that even give you new ideas to try with your team such as team building exercises or brainstorming sessions.
What do you dislike about the product?
When using the mind map tool, I would like to be able to put sticky notes anywhere in the map, but they automatically move when I try to place them where I want them to go. Also the limit of whiteboards, but I understand that you must put some limit to the free version for business decisions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been using it to create information architectures for a website, customer profiles and organizing information in general. Miro has let me gather different information in the same place in a very structured but also flexible way. Moreover, it has made it easier to work remotely in complicated tasks with other team members from my company.

Excellent Tool for project work

  • April 21, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro as my primary tool in planning my work, deliverables, and workshops.
I use it for presentations, and the list of additional tools helps me design anything I want to help me with this.
Clients always comment on how much easier it is to understand something from a Miro board rather than a presentation deck, doc, or spreadsheet.
What do you dislike about the product?
I use the desktop app, and sometimes it struggles to open a board and I have to relaunch the app.
The kanban board feature has a few gremlins. Sometimes the title of the board appears at the bottom, even if I lock it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to problem solve with a client and present all my deliverables with them, and this might be an idea, research synthesis, or even designs. The benefits are it lets us all be in the same room via a zoom call. I liken a Miro board to being in a studio with a large whiteboard where we all collaborate on.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Miro offers a perfect way to work in a remote situation

A perfect solution for building projects and teambuildings

  • April 21, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use. That means that all the participants who see Miro for the first time easily understand what they need to do and with which tools. It really helped during teambuildings we were making.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, I like everything. And the features in the free version are quite enough to understand the functions available on the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In the beginning we were using Miro only for teambuildings where each participant could take part in the game or leave his/her comment on new designs and ideas. It helped to take into account everyone's opinion.
Now I also use it for building my own projects starting from the idea and concept and finishing with the designs. It's really easy to visualize everything, collect all the docs on the project in one place and to keep each team member updated.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to onboard the team on everything that's going on with the project, if you want each team member to participate in some activity or even if you just want to gather all the info around the web on the particular project Miro is a perfect solution.

Versatile Whiteboard for many use cases

  • April 21, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love most to get easily started with Miro. Just create a board and put notes, or boxes on it. Add text, or images from the web, connect your objects. And do it in realtime with your friends and colleagues. There are a lot of templates to choose from that get you started even quicker. Need to do a retrospective? A brainstorming? A business plan? Miro might have just the template for you.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the handling hof objects and navigating across the board gets a little confusing. For instance, scrolling the mouse wheel is zooming. Sometimes people move objects instead of dragging themselves across the screen. In rare occasions it's hard to select an object for moving it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I started with doing schemas and relationship models. I'm a very visual guy, and work best if I see things right in front of me. That way I can make my best decisions. I use it in remote sessions and discussions for quickly explaining my points of view, or to spontaneously go into a short round of information gathering. After the meeting I can easily share the results with everyone so everybody is on the same page. Session notes? Quickly done with Miro.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you consider using Miro you may want to browse the big catalogue of templates. Select one that suits you and start creating your first virtual whiteboard. Next, use the share button to invite a friend or colleague, and improve your board collaboratively.

Great Tool for Collaboration and Creativity

  • April 21, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is really easy to use. The onboarding of new users is easy and even supported by handsome tutorials. The feature set seems to be streamlined and is not overwhelming. I like the concept of frames to cluster content and guide visitors. Miro puts a lot of effort in gathering user feedback.
Boards are very easy to share even with people that do not have a Miro account.
What do you dislike about the product?
There only very little drawbacks. Sometimes the connection lacks. On some days there are frequent but short disconnectionss. Some complex features are not perfect yet (e.g. handling of objects in tables is sometimes ... let's call it surprising).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro solves a lot of the problems that arise from our Corona induced dislocation where we can not assembly in front of a physical whiteboard. It fosters collaboration on complex and not well structured topics. I like to sketch down my thoughts on white boards and I appreciate very much to have an infinite one now.

It helps our remote team think as if we're together.

What do you like best about the product?
It has an infinite canvas to hold our ideas, and allows a considerable amount of creativity without being held up by a lack of tools.

It lets me extend my thinking and then share it with others for their feedback and suggestions, and as a visual person it's super valuable to me.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like the plugins a lot (icon-finder, etc) but there could be more icons, and the wireframing tool could be more extensive.

Weirdly, sometimes the text will write backwards...? Other than that, I love the app version more than the browser one, but my team is often happier in the browser version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have colossal system diagrams we have to produce, mapping technology in the commercial fishing industry. It's impossible to describe the sector verbally, and writing it doesn't work either, so we have to show it visually to discuss what we're doing as a company adequately.

We also use it for planning grant applications, and some basic wireframing.

Excellent for collaboration - especially working with remote teams.

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use Miro as a fully registered user or as a guest. The interface is excellent and really intuative.

I use the iconfinder feature quite alot - previously i would use Visio for diagramming and you'd be stuck with the same icons - it's nice to add a bit of a personal touch to your work.

Another one of my favourite features to use - are the built in templates. So you can use pre-made templates to complete retrospectives, or create Lean Coffee or Kanban boards - this is probably my most used feature within Miro. There's loads of templates to choose to from which look like they've been built by Miro or the Miro community.
What do you dislike about the product?
i previously used the web based version of Miro with the Google Chrome browser. I found that this combination was a real memory hog.

In an attempt to fix this, i decded to download the desktop app for Miro. This was a real game changer as the desktop app runs smoothly and doesn't take up quite alot of my memory/cpu usage. If i find my laptop does struggle to cope - then i usually close Miro when im not actively using it or presenting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used Miro before the pandemic struck - but since we're all working remotely at the minute its really easy to walk my stakeholders through process steps. I've recently started a new role and Miro has helped me convey new business ideas and processes with ease.

We've recently starting having Community days too within my team and organisation. Miro helps us collaborate when we can't be in the office together.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd watch some Youtube videos if you're not sure. I attended a webinar which was hosted by Miro on how to effectively use their application and it was brilliant - i already thoguht i knew how to use it until i watched this!

Brilliant for collaborative work

  • April 21, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to instantly collaborate on a document at the same time as others being in different places.
The articles with updates of new features.
What do you dislike about the product?
It took a while to be able to access Miro on my work computer (not Miro's fault) due to my work security and I had to use my own computer, making it unnecessarily complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Anything and everything, from project management; to journey mapping; to feedback log and Lean UX canvas.
Using the stickers and coming back to it later allows to think more about it and link the idea

Great collboration software

  • April 21, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Interactivity and the way it enables non-linear thinking and collaboration in an online environment. Also, how easy it is to use to create beautiful designs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Video function needs improvement. Also, the inability to do even the most basic image manipulation (such as flip) can be annoying.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It enables non-linear thinking. A fantastic replacement for a whiteboard in an online environment, but also better than a whiteboard - because it's infinite

Best digital whiteboard for remote trainings and workshops

  • April 21, 2021
  • Review verified by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Since a lot of people is working from home, I needed to switch my way of working as well. Now, leading remote trainings and workshops is my daily business. What I missed the most at the beginning was the possibility to activate everybody during the training sessions. I tested several digital whiteboards and then decided to use Miro, because I'm missing not one feature and my customers are getting familiar with the tool in five minutes. It is fun and it is very professional at the time. I'm preparing my boards in advance, storing them as a template, so I can use them several times.
Miro is the reason why not only I love remote workshops but I even prefer them to classroom trainings now.
After the training, I download the board as a pdf and send it to my customers, instead of the photo protocol that was usually sent out before.

By the way - several of my customers use Miro for their daily teamwork after having worked with me on a Miro board.
What do you dislike about the product?
Believe me, in one year of using Miro, I did not find things I dislike.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using Miro for participant activation, presenting slides, brainstorming, summarizing, prioritizing, etc.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are working with several customers, it may be usefull to take the consultant plan to assure the privacy of every customer.
