Very useful tool

  • September 03, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Integration with Teams, plenty of templates and ways in which to customise the layout. Embedding documents, webpages and media.
What do you dislike about the product?
Embedded documents do not always load quickly so browsing PDFs can be time-consuming. Miro is a useful way to group files etc, but not as an easy to access repository.
Diagrams can quickly become dominated by graphics rather than information; diagrams such as mindmaps/concept maps are not always efficent in use of space. When working in a collaborative environment it is easy for boards to become cluttered e.g. post-its of different colours, sizes and fonts (a manner to restrict which shapes are available in a shared board would be useful)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Used for group work preparation e.g. to group, align and prioritise document resources (This works better visually than a shared directory)
Used in group discussions - gives all participants an opportunity to have an input (unlike face to face meetings where it is possible for 1 or 2 people to dominate discussion)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Prepare a layout for all board users to adhere to.
Be firm about which shapes/templates can be used (e.g. post-its or comments) by users of a shared board.

Single solution that helps to draft your product ideas digitally

  • September 03, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
1. Onboarding - Choosing a template related to the idea.
2. Mind Mapping is an excellent feature that helps to quickly sketch the user flow on the chart.
3. 3rd party integrations with other products like Notion and Monday.com.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. When multiple people are working on one common template, the template gets stuck and lags.
2. Few plugins like Figma don't work at all.
3. No option to create your own templates.
4. No enough fonts/styles for personalized work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With Miro, we are able to find agility in our decision-making and thought processes. The benefits are we can now chalk our ideas and portray all the user flows digitally that could be validated by the peers instantly and comment on it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are struggling to maintain a documented process of your thoughts/ideas, choose Miro to simplify the documenting and keep all your documents at one site.

Miro - My One-Stop-Shop for All Things Collaboration

  • August 30, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best thing about Miro is the ability to collaborate over virtually anything! As a Strategic Business Analyst and Project Manager, I often have to brainstorm, conceptualize and facilitate discussions around strategies, plans and concepts within the business. Miro is my go-to whenever I have to start something new because if I am stuck and do not know where to begin, there are tons of templates and suggestions which I can build off. The interface and elements are intuitive which makes it so much easier to edit and adapt any existing templates to suit my business scenario.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have been using Miro for a number of months now and I guess sometimes, the choices at my disposal make for a stumbling block with getting started. However, this is something that time, practice and experience will eventually solve. In a recent webinar, I was introduced to the Miro Academy which is a trove of information that is helping me get acquainted with the platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am predominantly solving conceptualization and facilitation problems with Miro. The visual element of this collaboration tool makes it very easy to work with others on brand new concepts or ideas, especially considering the Work From Home situation we have come to adapt to. Being able to visually depict abstract concepts, at times simultaneously collaborating with my colleagues, helps speed up the process and bring everyone onto the same page.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would advise those considering Miro to go ahead and sign-up for a basic (free) user account and get to experience the app/platform before signing up for a full account. Because of the vast amount of things you can do on the platform, it would be good to know your way around before you sign up.

Miro our Visual Collaboration hero

  • August 29, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The most astonishing thing about Miro is that the team can work more seamlessly on creative things from project planning to execution through visualization. I also find its inbuilt communication feature quite helpful as we also regularly conduct meetings and real-time discussions using its real-time chatting and video conferencing feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because the new user onboarding part is quite limited compared to the breadth of features, new users may find themselves in an uncomfortable position while attempting to use the possibilities of this great productivity tool fully.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We consider Miro to be an essential member of our team, regardless of whether or not we are working from a remote location, since it is so helpful in fostering creative team communication. We are now able to interact more realistically and creatively, thanks to the Miro.

Great tool for collaboration and creative workshopping

  • August 27, 2021
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Miro is very quick to pick up - there are helpful onboarding tutorials but the tool is pretty intuitive. Using the tutorials and documentation would help to get the best out of it. The interface is largely drag and drop, which replicates the experience of using post-it notes on a board very nicely.
What do you dislike about the product?
Formatting gets a bit fiddly sometimes if you are seeking to theme by colours. It's not always clear who has commented and where.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Miro in lieu of face-to-face creative workshops, which have not been possible during the pandemic. It is very satisfying to have an interface that eeryone can play with to give people a sense of participation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider exactly what kind of format you want your online collaborations to take.
