I love how easy it is to make edits in Miro, which significantly enhances my productivity by allowing quick modifications. The live editing and sharing capabilities stand out, enabling seamless collaboration with others in real-time. I also appreciate the overall ease of use, which makes navigating and managing tasks straightforward. The initial setup was very easy, which allowed our team to get started without any hurdles. I find Miro invaluable for creating organizational charts, marketing flowcharts, and operational diagrams, especially given our unique structure, where a standard org chart isn't sufficient.

Great for Collaboration, But IT Admin Features Need Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Collaborating with teammates is very straightforward, and it’s simple to visualize ideas together.
What do you dislike about the product?
IT Admin features are lacking. For example, after SSO is enabled, implementing a domain change while retaining the existing Miro user accounts (just mapped to the new SSO domain) is very difficult and requires Miro support to be involved. It does not have to be like this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've noticed that many cross-departmental team members rely on Miro for quickly brainstorming and sharing ideas that impact multiple teams. It has become a valuable tool for facilitating collaboration and communication across different groups.
Effortless Collaboration and Intuitive Visuals with Miro
What do you like best about the product?
Miro is incredibly user-friendly and makes it easy to create clean, professional diagrams. It's simple to share boards, collaborate with teammates, and get new colleagues to adopt it quickly. The interface is intuitive, visually appealing, and flexible, which makes team collaboration feel effortless! Overall, it's one of the easiest and most effective tools for turning ideas into clear, organized visuals.
What do you dislike about the product?
Miro has so many templates and features that it can sometimes feel cluttered, especially when I only use a small subset of them. The abundance of options can make the interface feel overwhelming and I often don't know which of the lesser-used features would actually be helpful. I also wish it were easier to personalize the workspace, like saving my preferred formats or surfacing the tools I use most, so I don't have to rebuild from scratch each time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro helps us solve major cross-functional communication challenges. It gives us a clear, visual way to explain complex workflows to other teams, align quickly during brainstorming sessions, and document requirements for large, multifaceted projects. It also acts as a centralized, living workspace where knowledge can be shared and updated easily across the organization. Overall, it makes collaboration faster, clearer, and far more efficient.
Collaborative Powerhouse with Room for Improvement
What do you like best about the product?
I use Miro extensively as a product designer for tasks like design, discovery, ideation, and product management, and I appreciate its ability to support all facets of my work until implementation. I love that Miro is a collaborative platform that is accessible for everyone on the team, even non-tech-savvy individuals, making it an excellent tool for bringing teams closer together. Its ease of use significantly supports our ideation process by allowing us to prototype and develop new ideas seamlessly. The ability to bring in different UI components and help align the team on the same page during brainstorming sessions is invaluable. I enjoy the pre-built templates and the option to create custom team templates, which have been incredibly helpful. Using Miro for user research is also beneficial as it allows me to organize research questions, record insights, and utilize its AI clustering tool effectively, which enhances productivity and decision-making. Additionally, Miro aids in roadmap activities with my team and ensures leadership is informed of progress. The straightforward initial setup process further adds to my satisfaction with Miro. Overall, I am a strong advocate for Miro and would rate it a nine out of ten in terms of recommending it to others.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the prototyping tool in Miro to be not very user-friendly, and some components are not intuitive for my colleagues. It would be beneficial if I could add brand colors by default, as the current setup leads to confusion when components don't automatically adhere to the same color scheme. Additionally, heavy boards do not load progressively, posing issues when the internet is unstable. In recent months, I've noticed that updates to Miro's navigation system have increased the time it takes to load files, which is frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Miro to enhance team collaboration, simplify prototyping, and bring diverse ideas together easily. It's accessible to everyone, helps in creating product roadmaps, and keeps the team aligned. The AI tool and templates facilitate user research and decision-making efficiently.

The modern design enhances my overall experience, ensuring that I can focus on my work rather than grappling with complicated navigation.

I find its adaptability such that exploring different integrations with other tools is exciting and useful, broadening the scope of its utility. Additionally, I am impressed by the ease of initial setup, which I would rate as a 2 or 3 on a difficulty scale from 1 to 10, demonstrating how user-friendly and accessible the platform is from the start.

Valuable for Diagrams, With Autonomous Learning
What do you like best about the product?
I primarily use Miro to create diagrams and architectural visualizations related to software development. The tool is extraordinarily valuable for translating complex problems into clear and organized visual representations, significantly facilitating the resolution of technical challenges in my daily workflow. Miro eliminates barriers that would make these tasks much more arduous without adequate visual support. Besides the core diagramming functionality, I deeply appreciate the intuitive learning curve; even with a challenging initial setup, the platform allows for autonomous exploration and mastery. This combination of functional power and accessibility makes Miro an indispensable tool that I consistently recommend to colleagues and friends in the technical field.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Miro is functional, there are aspects that could be improved. Aesthetically, the visual style of the diagrams is comparatively more simplistic than some competitors; alternatives like Excalidraw offer visually more refined results while maintaining equivalent simplicity. Specifically, the initial setup presents a steeper learning curve than expected, particularly for tasks such as inserting and managing icons, whose interface is not sufficiently instructive. An improvement in contextual documentation during these initial operations would result in a significantly smoother onboarding experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Miro solves a critical challenge in my workflow: translating abstract technical problems into tangible visual representations. This is particularly valuable during the analysis and design phases in software development projects, where architectural clarity is essential. The direct benefit is the significant reduction in time needed to communicate complex solutions, both internally and to stakeholders, and to validate approaches before implementation. The spatial visualization offered by Miro drastically reduces the risk of misinterpretations and accelerates iteration on solutions, enhancing the overall quality of technical deliverables.
Beautiful Vision Boards and Notes with Impressive Customization
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to create vision boards, notes, Images, log detailed information neatly and aesthetically
What do you dislike about the product?
The learning curve is quite steep; many features end up going unused simply because it's not clear how to access or utilize them. While the templates initially seem impressive, I often end up making simpler versions myself, mainly because figuring out how to use some of the tools can be confusing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
This tool lets me easily pair images with text, making everything visible at a glance. In contrast, platforms like Notion or Google Docs often require a lot of scrolling to locate images, and they can be restrictive when it comes to adjusting image size or placement due to their built-in formatting limitations.
