Quick Development lifecycle
What do you like best about the product?
The speed of development of integrations and the ease of use of the platform. This is super easy to learn and the community is instrumental to Boomi's as well as your own success when using the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
There really isn't anything to dislike about the platform. There could be more consistencies between all of the components as they are placed around the platform. Also better monitoring for atom/molecule health would be a plus.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Develop integrations faster and smarter. Low code or no code integrations really drives innovation at a different level.

Better EDI support, we ran into some EDI issues that we still have not seen resolution for.
EDI - Faster Cheaper & Future Ready
What do you like best about the product?
We are able to onboard a new EDI customer in days rather than 6 - 10 weeks.
This translates to faster revenue realization. Also, EDI data is worth less and less as data increases and orders transfer to ECOM.

What do you dislike about the product?
When switching AS2 certifications, it's essential to have a proxy server to hold your newer SSL cert and route customers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are solving B2B integrations via EDI and API as well as A2A integrations.
Dell Boomi Integration Platform
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to understand, develop and implement, mostly without code, with just connectors and mapping
What do you dislike about the product?
While taking copies of Production and Development environments are easy, it is a bit challenging to roll out Devlopment Design updates smoothly to Production without sometimes having to redo the design in Production
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Master data integration between ERP and database systems with Salesforce and web services to form a real time gateway, such as getting prices, order history from ERP to Salesforce
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy to implement without coding or very minimal javascript coding in exceptional mapping circumstances
A simple but powerful integration tool
What do you like best about the product?
Features like subprocess invocation, cache and management using atomsphere
What do you dislike about the product?
Real time integrations cannot be tested in test mode
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A2A integration with mostly salesforce on one end. Other end can be SAP or different database such as DB2 or Oracle. This is scalable.
Deep in functionality but you have to be patient enough to find it.
What do you like best about the product?
It has a web interface and it has a lot of connectors for natively connecting to data sources.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is one of the most click intensive applications. There are property windows inside of property windows. It is a spiderweb of configuration which you can quickly get lost in.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
App to app integration as well as loading of our DWH
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try before you buy with some more complex interfaces. Take into consideration how long it is going to take you to learn the tool as compared to the other competitors. If you don't need EDI, don't pick this tool.
Powerful tool for cloud-bases systems integration
What do you like best about the product?
Lots of built-in cloud-bases systems connection API to implement the integration.
The shapes have strong capabilities enough to build the integration to fulfill the business need.
Do not spend much time to learn and implement the integration

What do you dislike about the product?
Not support the excel file
The map only support 1 to 1 profile, it would be better to have n to 1 profile mapping
The source version control is not too good to avoid conflict.
No detail compassion between revision is a point need to be improved
No details enough in the logs to troubleshoot the issues

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Implement the B2B integration between Vendors system and NetSuite. Because of the built-in shapes and connections, the implementation is taking less time and effort
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for a quick and reliable solution for cloud-based systems integration then Dell Boomi is a very good choice. Training materials provided by Dell Boomi is also a big plus, so gaining the Boomi implementation skill is not a big challenge.
Great middleware tool
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to understand interface with click to build functionality rather than coding. Boomi also integrates with a huge library of applications to allow you to help your applications talk to one another. Lastly, Dell is offering a bunch of great free training to help you get up to speed and understand it better.
What do you dislike about the product?
Pricing (at least for us) is based on how many connectors you have so depending on how many systems you are looking to create, it can get quite expensive. We integrate with a number of customers and a handful of operations, so the cost adds up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have data we want synchronized between multiple systems and the main one is an iSeries AS400 talking to Salesforce. The AS400 is great as our ERP, but lousy for CRM needs, reporting, helping us discover trends, etc. which Salesforce is good at, so having data in both systems allows us to take advantage of the technology in Salesforce
Boomi is best tool for iPaaS Solutions
What do you like best about the product?
Simplicity and fast in some features. Easy to complete in short time even major integration. It is beauty to finish quick cloud integration needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Little slowness while using some features. Also need more document level filtering or logic features such as Sorting based on profile element or size and exclude based on file size. Additional security features such connector level data security.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All cloud and EDI applications problems easily manageable. API management is pretty much useful feature.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Good to go this tool as if you come-out from the code.
iAAS Comes of Age
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of Use combined with Vendor Support. The core concepts are easy to grasp and the ability to implement complex use cases exists as well. There are a number of specific application connectors along with generic ones to meet any integration need. Self guided and Instructor led Training are both available through Dell and Dell Support is the best I have ever dealt with.
What do you dislike about the product?
This is difficult to quantify. The ability to travers documents on the canvas could be easier although Dell has implemented the ability to make suggestions that the community can vote on. Suggestions with enough support are made part of the core product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing business information between applications is the primary business problem that I am solving with Boomi both real-time and batch (ETL). Time to market is the big benefit. Integrations that used to take weeks or months to design, code and test can be done in hours or days.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try it. Do a POC.
