Easy to use and Great Support
What do you like best about the product?
Composer was easy to set up and has already made our process more efficient. Support has been great! Always helpful!
What do you dislike about the product?
So far, there is nothing I dislike about this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mail merge of direct communication to students. We now have the capability to generate letters directly from the salesforce's object and save the pdf as an attachment as well as update activity log.
Conga Composer - great for merging between Salesforce and Word/Excel
What do you like best about the product?
It took a little bit of start-up elbow-grease to develop all of the merge templates, but I have found Conga to be fairly intuitive and very reliable since I really got into it. Also, their support team is amazing! The best part is being able to custom format data in a way that you cannot do in standard SFDC reports.
What do you dislike about the product?
Keeping templates up to date can be a challenge, but I try to review them 6 months or so just in case!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's been awesome to create templates and then merge our Salesforce data into the exact format we need. We have pretty rigid requirements, so the flexibility is really important for our success.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Go in with a specific use case - you will want to know if Conga can handle your most complex merge.
using composer
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of set up and even more ease of use for my users
What do you dislike about the product?
Hate that you have to use queries to pull the data in lightning but know it is a SFDC thing and not conga thing
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Saves hours of manual work
Document geeration
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use and maintenance. As a salesforce admin I can control the parameters
What do you dislike about the product?
Testing is trial and error. And conga queries is a bit tricky to use sometimes
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Auto Gen of documents, also doing esignature with integrated partners
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Understand pricing, what is included in conga composer and what is additional cost
Endless Possibilities
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use for the end user. Once a solution is built, the end user simply has to point and click.
What do you dislike about the product?
Our Salesforce instance is highly customized and wasn't set up properly, so I run into some object relation issues when using Conga.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Document creation, automation, invoicing, emailing, data accuracy, efficiency.
Conga makes quoting easy
What do you like best about the product?
Intuitive CRM (Salesforce) integration allows sales reps to quickly and easily build quotes for clients. Merges fields in your CRM to the templates to ensure accurate information is contained within. Provides multiple output types for flexibility. Template repository allows reps to create and save their own templates for future use.
What do you dislike about the product?
User interface is slightly dated. Reliant on data within CRM. Changes to incorrect prices, license numbers, etc... cannot be made directly through tool unless you download a template and make manual changes in Word.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Allows me to be responsive when clients are looking for quotes. Automate quoting process, cutting down significantly on time needed to build.
Free - non-profit version
What do you like best about the product?
The free version takes care of most of our document creation needs. I like that it saves as a doc rather than trying to send to printer
What do you dislike about the product?
merge field insert is clunky compared to the easy of merge fields in Marketing Cloud or Salesforce templates. It would be alot better if you did not have to use the insert function in word.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sending paper merges out of salesforce
Simple and easy to use tool to generate PDFs
What do you like best about the product?
Conga composer is so flexible that we easily setup a PDF file to be generated from the data available in our Salesforce records. Pretty straight forward once you get hands on experience on how to use the tool.
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn’t a manual which I could fine in their website to start learning how to use this tool. It has always been create a ticket with the support or make a phone call to know more the new features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Generate PDF files from our Salesforce objects. Export 1 more more reports at once into a excel sheet.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Learning the tool before setting it up could be of great use.
Document and Contract Management amplified
What do you like best about the product?
Massive amounts of customization and automation scripting, Contracting features are excellent, support and dealing with company staff is excellent. Output to all popular formats, and complete integration into Salesforce. I consider Conga to be part of the SFDC perfect stack.
What do you dislike about the product?
The sheer capability and customizations, especially in later versions, makes it potentially difficult to wrap your head around and understand at first. A bit like learning a new language. understanding the interaction of the moving parts is key.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Contract generation, proposals, marketing mnaterials can be generated quickly and are in a much better format that standard SF exports.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to learn all the capabilities. Understand the architecture and how all the Conga pieces come together. use the training resources/support forum etc.
