Simple to use and easy to create proposals
What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to design proposal templates and to "grab and go" proposals for smaller opportunities.
What do you dislike about the product?
The constant name changes and rebranding has been frustrating internally. It really doesn't seem like this software is meant for professional services companies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Conga Document Generation to create and distribute proposals. It helps us create beautiful, easy to make proposals to provide to clients and prospects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you create a lot of preset templates when you first implement the system. This will make it easier to use all features of the system.

Great tool for Document Generation
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to connect to Salesforce and great tool for generating documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
Little training required for merge fields
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Conga to generate Quotes, Invoice, and Contracts. This tool makes it really easy for our Accounts Manager's to generate a custom looking document for the customer in a matter of minutes.
Makes Sales Rep Candidates and Competitors Jealous
What do you like best about the product?
We've been using this product since it was still called Tinderbox (later Octiv, then Conga) and it's hard to remember how our sales team operated without it. Our sales process relies heavily on an interactive proposal review, and moving away from unbranded Google Docs to the rich, multimedia proposals that Conga allows us to create was a game-changer. We love being able to reach out after we're alerted to a prospect viewing a proposal, and the interface is easy enough that individual reps can customize their proposals with no support needed from the Marketing team (no offense, sales reps!).
What do you dislike about the product?
We've had a few billing and customer service hiccups since Conga acquired Octiv I expect that once teams and systems get fully integrated, we won't run into any further issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were using Google Docs to create proposals; they looked like crap and were even harder to share with prospects. Friction in getting deals closed was all-but-eliminated thanks to digital signatures.
Conga in Two Separate Instances
What do you like best about the product?
Customer Support. No BS either. The times I've had to use it, it was painless and it worked. Can't get better than that.
What do you dislike about the product?
A little 'clunky'. But once it is 'learned'... it makes sense.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Draft quotes and Real Quotes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are any number of apps which will work. How many will still support you in 2020? How many will support you after 'regular' hours?
Conga will.
Conga will.
Great Product
What do you like best about the product?
Conga is a great, robust tool for anyone looking for a document generator that connects with Salesforce. Being able to make Conga buttons in Salesforce dynamic and make the labels in your document dynamic based on the criteria that you specify is especially useful in making a customized document that feeds right back into Salesforce.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not much I dislike about Conga, if anything I would just warn users that the more savvy the user is with Microsoft Word, the better your documents will look and function. Not necessarily a bad thing, but Salesforce-focused admins may not always have this knowledge right away.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We would like to generate quotes based on the line of business and type of quote the user selects. The quotes will be sent out to customers and potential customers.
Close More Deals with Conga
What do you like best about the product?
It's SO easy. I love that no matter how they are accessing the contract, the prospect can very easily review the terms and accept. It's also incredibly easy to update/edit terms within the contract. I really like the analytics, specifically getting text messages when my champion is in the contract. It's also great to see how long they've been in the tool. It has a lot of great features, while still being very intuitive. From the admin side, our team has connected Salesforce to Conga, which streamlines our discounting and proposal creation process by automatically transferring over the fields within Salesforce. This is a great value to the team and to our Salesforce Admins. We've also had great support from the Conga team, whenever we have an issue they are very prompt on resolving it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, I can't think of anything. I've used a lot of other systems in past roles and this is by far the easiest method (both from the rep side and the prospect side).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We wanted to streamline our end of deal cycle through giving a simple way to execute contracts and have visibility across the team in how those were developing.
The best solution for flexible automated document generation
What do you like best about the product?
Conga is the leader in this space for a reason. You can generate contracts and many other types of documents using merge fields from Salesforce and complex business logic
What do you dislike about the product?
There was poor communication around what was needed for Conga to work in Salesforce Lightning. Templates needed to be updated to be Lightning compatible and we didn't realize it until our project was underway.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Generate contracts automatically. Create automatic summary reports for Account Reviews. Create complex documents using Salesforce data
Recommendations to others considering the product:
See if you also can use their E-signature product as well, they have a good suite overall
Octiv > Conga
What do you like best about the product?
User friendly and clean UX. Fairly fast responsive time to support tickets (even if issue isn't resolved for a few days)
What do you dislike about the product?
Support experience has gone down hill since Conga acquired Octiv. The support we received when Octiv was initially implemented was phenomenal and the reps really seemed to have a strong grasp on the product. Now it seems like I have a better grasp on some of the featured offers than the actual reps do.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to allow our sales team to automatically generate agreements which saves both sales and our operations teams a lot of time.
Account Executive
What do you like best about the product?
Conga works seamlessly in the sales environments that I've used it in. It integrates with our other online tools as well as looking very professional to our clients
What do you dislike about the product?
At times formatting issues pop up and can be a hassle to deal with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Conga is our solution for all Client facing quotes/proposals as well as internal documents. It's so nice to have this as an online tool for group collaboration.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You won't be disappointed. Any issues that I've ever had are solved by their amazing customer support.
Love using Conga Composer for all of my Salesforce Document Needs
What do you like best about the product?
Conga Composer is a great tool that pulls in Salesforce data into Microsoft office documents. It works well most of the time and can create multiple, complex Excel documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some time issues with the server when pulling merge fields in. These resolve after a few minutes without a problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating Quotes, Service Order, Proposals, Contracts, and detailed sales and marketing reports.
