Business Automation with Powerful Integration Under the hood

What do you like best about the product?
My company builds Workato recipes, so we've been delivering multiple integrations to multiple companies with very different scenarios. Workato is fast to ramp up, if you're somewhat digitally minded. It's modern UI allows for very intuitive and clear way of building your integration workflows, map data, create logic, transform data. It truly combines deep understanding of what integration is all about with the simplicity of the "recipe" concept.

I also think that the paradigm of "code" is still the most powerful, flexible, scalable way of writing software. Workato really made it code-like power, but truly without any coding at all. It's not flow diagrams – it's step by step (code-like), but each step is a configuration, mapping, transformation.

The depth and breadth of this platform is actually quite astonishing.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not easy to come up with something... I guess it could be a bit more "object oriented" when it comes to large objects, where I could say obj B = obj A, and Workato would simply replicate the object's structure.

Also if I could have more flexibility working with array's elements without having to default to Collections, that would make life a bit easier.

But other than that, there's little to complain about.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My customers want to integrate their systems... Netsuite, Magento, Jira, Github, Salesforce, Slack, MS Teams, etc.

Some use cases include:
- e-commerce (product sync between your ERP and e-commerce platform)
- orders sync
- abandoned carts and new orders sync with your CRM
- custom bi-directional integration of your code repository and project management software
- HR / new employee on-boarding process including actionable items in Slack and MS Teams
- reporting work hours to customer's time tracking system
- etc.

What do you like best about the product?
Modern, intuitive browser-based interface.
Unified iPaaS that makes it easy to build and deploy secure integrations between cloud-based, hosted and/or on premise applications and databases.
Intelligent, pre-built connectors for hundreds of popular applications.
Numerous sample / community recipes to use as a starting point for integrations.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although most informational / error messages are detailed and very helpful, a small number could be improved and made more explicit, which would be especially helpful for new users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Workato has enabled us to maintain a small staff while building and deploying numerous integrations to support our cloud-first initiatives.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Workato's unified cloud-based platform for building, deploying and monitoring integrations has had a significant positive impact on our productivity.

Highly flexible integration platform with seemingly endless possibilities

What do you like best about the product?
Workato provides a huge variety of connectors, including some (such as http) that allow you to do custom configurations that connect to just about any API.
The on-prem connector allows us to securely integrate between on-site databases and external data providers.
Easy to use Web interface for creating recipes/integrations without extensive coding.
What do you dislike about the product?
The cost is a bit prohibitive for smaller companies. We don't move a ton of data, but we do work with a lot of different vendors. I'd like to see better pricing models for small companies and colleges. Perhaps something based on the total amount of data being moved would be more appropriate.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've used Workato to synchronize data from many different sources into our central data warehouse (Snowflake). This then allows us to do advanced reporting and data science from one centralized and governed source. It also allows us to integrate the data back to the various systems and keep them in sync.

Workato was also instrumental in our COVID-19 response. We used it to tie our test results back to our notification systems and provide a very fast response when a student tests positive. As more results came in from different providers, we continued to connect them through Workato a dashboard that helped us make informed decisions.

What do you like best about the product?
As a low- or no-code solution, Workato let's me create and update integrations and ETL processes with minimal time to launch and uses none of my development resources.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is very little to dislike with this product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The primary benefit is that our employees using different systems are able to collaborate in real-time without duplicating their effort. It also allows us to use best-in-class technology without a heavy investment in integration while keeping data current/relevant in all systems.

What do you like best about the product?
* Quick return on value - don't waste time building out implementations to 3rd party APIs
* Easy to use and learn the software, while also a powerful platform that can be expanded to meet complex workflows, high processing loads, and connect many disparate applications (great for people with little coding experience while also flexible/powerful for more advanced users)
* Great visibility into individual jobs and troubleshooting/rerunning failures
What do you dislike about the product?
* It would be great to have templates or more guidance on design patterns for new users. Product hours are great for seeing the possibilities of using Workato, but I would enjoy seeing more technical examples or how to build and design integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
* Removing the need for point-to-point file transfers (no longer download a report from one system and upload it to another). Critical for adding automation for our Lead-to-Revenue process.
* Allow us to get the right information to the right people at the right time. The use of the Slack workbot has allowed us to raise notifications to the right people and teams and build workflows using Slack.
* Allow our company product/engineering teams to have greater access to our ERP and CRM through the use of the API gateway (no more building custom code in ERP/CRM to support external systems)
* Used as a platform to allow citizen integrators through our Automation Center of Excellence. People can write automations themselves instead of always relying on IT or contractors.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Workato makes it easy to get started, but it is not a turn-key solution. This can be a benefit as you have lots of flexibility and power to build custom automations and integrations.

What do you like best about the product?
The ease with which I can automate a large number of processes is quite useful and practical, especially since it allows me to optimize a large number of tasks and processes within my company in a fairly simple and simple way, the fact that It can easily integrate with other applications, it is also quite useful when using this application, its ease of use is very impressive, however complex the task may seem, you can be sure that Workato will simplify things for you in a way pretty straightforward
What do you dislike about the product?
Learning is not easy at all, in fact to learn how to use Workato requires a lot, A LOT of practice, so I think it would not be bad if the customer service team could make this process a bit more didactic and simple It takes too long to respond to any type of question or request, something that in practice can delay us for a long time in the execution of our activities.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
In my company we decided to use it to automate and simplify a large number of processes that were carried out manually and that consumed a large amount of time and resources within the work and Workato has allowed us to simplify them to their smallest expression, allowing us to carry out a more tasks in less time, thus increasing efficiency and productivity within the office.

What do you like best about the product?
Easily incorporates workflows and triggers that fit with your business processes.
Very flexible and easily allows SQL to be used inside the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the publish connectors could be more mature but these are constantly being enhanced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
End to end data integration across our cloud based finance systems stack.
Includes automation of user provisioning, employee costs/payments and timely dataflows to consolidated reporting systems.

What do you like best about the product?
- The platform itself and the great team behind it! I think they've been very active in helping us solve the challenges we're facing when we kicked off the project.
- The UI is great! It's not difficult to navigate that even non-tech users can easily use it - from assigning roles, setting up permissions, arranging automation, even down to asking for support.
- It can integrate multiple enterprise software. I've been using other intelligent automation platforms for the past years and so far, only Workato showed flexibility. As they say, Workato is enterprise-ready. It can connect to core enterprise apps for HR (Workday), Finance (NetSuite), ERPs (SAP, Oracle E-Business Suite), and databases (e.g. Oracle)
- Workato can accommodate advanced workflows!
What do you dislike about the product?
- The documentation part is good but I think it can still be improved with more specific examples. Also, need to add more documentation for new connectors.
- The training was great but it would be greater if they can provide self-service training that at least we can revisit or share with new team members trying to learn Workato.
- Though it can accommodate advanced workflows, the learning curve can be very steep especially for people without a programming knowledge/background.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
User Account Provisioning from Workday, AD, to GSuite. This will help the entire P&C Team to reduce manual work and improve work efficiency. From almost 2-3 hours of time spent on onboarding, we're expecting to only spend less than an hour as 70-80% of the tasks will be automated.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You should try Workato if you're looking for an intelligent automation platform that's user-friendly but at the same time can accommodate advanced workflows when needed especially if you believe your company is expanding anytime soon.

Easy to use IPaaS with great integrators

What do you like best about the product?
There are a ton of integrators that make it easy to build out integrations to a range of products.
It was also easy for me, who has next to no coding skills to write out integrations between products.
The errors were easy to understand and find solutions to.
What do you dislike about the product?
I'd like to be able to be able to pdf the integration recipe for documentation purposes, I could not find a away to do this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Push data between Workday and (x)Matters
Updating existing users, removing terminated users, and creating new users automatically
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I come from a process-driven background and have never had much experience with coding, but the simple and intuitive way of being able to build out recipes along with a ton of out-of-the-box integrators made it an easy process.

The support I had from Workato during the process was invaluable to me, as the consultant walked me through parts I was unsure of and made a positive impact on the project.

What do you like best about the product?
Like the flexibility - Recipes can be updated anytime to deliver immediate results, unlike conventional integration.

Onboarding team has delivered great service and support ensuring that we are optimising benefits from their product.

Live chat support is very helpful and responsive.
What do you dislike about the product?
Prebuilt connectors might not have the actions that we needed but that is okay as alternatives can be explored.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Looking to minimise mundane manual tasks that has to be performed daily. With the integrated solution that Workato had provided, the resources can now be diverted to perform more important tasks and time at work are better used.
